Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich continues to be a topic of discussion, but it sounds like the club is comfortable letting the process play out without putting unnecessary pressure on its star striker.

Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeneß was asked whether he had personally spoken with Kane in an effort to convince him to remain in Munich. His answer suggested that there is little need for another sales pitch from the club legend.

> “I don’t need to keep telling him that, he knows what I think. Jan-Christian Dreesen is handling it – and he’s in talks. We’ll see what comes of it,” Hoeneß told Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia )

Hoeneß’s comments indicate that Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is currently taking the lead in discussions regarding Kane’s future. Rather than having multiple members of the club hierarchy attempting to convince the England captain, Bayern appears to have one person handling the negotiations.

And Hoeneß certainly doesn’t sound worried.

Kane has been outstanding since arriving at Bayern, continuing to produce goals at an astonishing rate while establishing himself as one of the most impo rtant players in Vincent Kompany’s squad. His contract situation, however, will inevitably attract plenty of attention as the club looks toward the future.

For now, Bayern Munich appears to be taking a relatively calm approach. Hoen eß believes Kane already knows exactly how the club feels about him, meaning there is apparently no need for another passionate Hoene ß recruitment speech.

The message is simple — Dreesen is talking to Kane, Bayern Munich wants him to stay, and everyone will now wait to see what happ ens.
