Bayern Munich midfielder Alara Şehitler has been named to Tuttosport’s shortlist for its 2026 Golden Girl award, which recognizes a standout European under-21 women’s footballer.

Per FCBayern.com , here is the full ten-player shortlist:

- Iman Beney – Manchester City

- Veerle Buurman – Chelsea

- Giulia Galli – Barcelona

- Azzurra Gallo – Toulouse

- Smilla Holmberg – Arsenal

- Maeline Mendy – Paris FC

- Sydney Schertenleib – Barcelona

- Felicia Schröder – Real Madrid

- Clara Serrajordi – Barcelona

- Alara Şehitler – FC Bayern

The inaugural edition of the award was won in 2022 by German women’s national team s tar and current Lyon winger Jule Brand. Last year’s recipient, Michelle Agyemang, is an English forward who cur rently plays for Arsenal.

The award will be announced in November.

Alara has a couple of starts for the Bavarians this season but is mostly making her impact from the bench. She memorably scored the 88th-minute clincher in a 3-2 September win over Bayer Leverkusen and added another five days later against Köln.
