Sparkling in every outing with the France team and Bayern, Michael Olise panics the transfer market. His contract extension in Munich could have a big influence on his future.

Enzo Fernandez, Bradley Barcola, Morgan Rogers, Yan Diomandé… The summer of 2026 was marked by a slew of transfers worth more than 100 million euros. Prepare for the same thing for next year, with Michael Olise as a possible star of the 2027 transfer window.

According to many specialists, the French international could be affected by the next very big transfer in the football world. His contract extension is a major issue for Bayern Munich, and the German champions are ready to make a big financial effort. His salary could increase from 14 million euros per year to 27 million, thus exceeding the emoluments of Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane.

End of story? Not really. Even by extending with Bayern, Michael Olise would not necessarily seal his future in Germany. According to AS, the former Crystal Palace player would put pressure on Munich leaders to include a release clause in his future contract.

Michael Olise, is it 200 million euros?

This summer, several rumors have emerged of mutual interest between Olise and Real Madrid, and they should be taken seriously. The player would thus like to reserve a way out, to have control over his future, with this release clause. The process is not compulsory in Germany, but it has already been used by Josko Gvardiol, Dani Olmo and especially Erling Haaland.

The whole challenge will be to find an agreement for the amount of this release clause. Bayern, who saw the prices charged this summer, would like 200 million euros. Olise and his clan would like a more accessible sum, so as not to close too many doors. The soap opera has probably only just begun.
