After drawing their last two matches, the team beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 on Saturday (24).
Maxi Beier scored the only goal of the game late in the second half.
Jobe Bellingham, who had just come on, provided the assist.
The result means Borussia Dortmund will spend the night at the top of the Bundesliga.
On Sunday (25), the teams in second and third place will face off, with Bayern Munich visiting Freiburg.
A win would see the defending champions finish the matchday in first place on goal difference.
