Harry Kane has settled into life at Bayern Munich so well that he has plenty of reasons to appreciate his surroundings beyond what happens on the pitch. From regular deliveries of schnitzel to family adventures in the Bavarian countryside, the England captain appears to have found a place he can truly call home.
Asked by UEFA about the best things about living in Munich, Kane had a particularly entertaining answer when it came to the local cuisine.
> “The schnitzels! I get sent schnitzels every week, so I have no choice but to eat them,” Kane said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The Bayern striker also praised Munich’s outdoor lifestyle and the opportunities it provides for his family to enjoy their time away from football.
> “And I do feel at home. I think there’s a lot of outdoor living here in Munich. I spend a lot of time at home, but whether it’s trying to go out for dog walks…my oldest daughter loves horse riding, so going to the stables with her. Playing football with the others at the local field. And then maybe going in the winter, more to the mountains. Skiing. Not me so much – my wife will take the kids. But I think you just have a bit of everything. The summers here, you have the lakes, you have Tegernsee, Starnberg. I love being outdoors and I think it’s great for the children as well, so just trying to do as many activities with them as possible,” said Kane.
For Kane, Munich offers the perfect combination of outdoor activities, beautiful surroundings, and family-friendly experiences that make life in Bavaria appealing. Whether it is exploring the region’s lakes during the summer or enjoying the mountains in the winter, the striker has found plenty to appreciate away from the pitch.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, Kane has established himself as one of the club’s most important players while continuing to build a life for his family in Germany.
And judging by his comments, the regular schnitzel deliveries certainly aren’t hurting his happiness in Munich!
