There are still some questions surrounding Bayern Munich’s personnel ahead of the RB Leipzig clash. Manuel Neuer missed training on Thursday, leaving his availability uncertain as the coaching staff waits to assess his condition.
> “Manuel Neuer did not train yesterday. We have to wait for today and see. Otherwise, everyone else except Jamal Musiala is available. I don’t want to play the role of a doctor. It’s something with his foot. He needs to get a better feel for it and resume training when he can,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ).
Musiala will therefore remain unavailable as he continues working toward his return from injury. The German international is not yet ready to resume training, and Bayern Munich will not rush him back before he is fit.
There is more encouraging news regarding Aleksandar Pavlović, who had been dealing with physical discomfort before the Viking match. The midfielder trained normally on Thursday, putting him in a promising position to feature against RB Leipzig.
> “He trained normally yesterday. If he can do that again today, then all good,” Kompany said when asked about Pavlović.
