Viking FK is preparing for a massive test against Bayern Munich tomorrow, with captain Zlatko Tripić recognizing the enormous quality Vincent Kompany’s side will bring to the table. The Norwegian outfit will be facing a level of opposition they have never encountered before, but Tripić insists his team will not simply roll over.
> “It will be an incredibly good test for us against some of the world’s best footballers and what is perhaps the world’s best team at the moment. We’re going to take on the challenge. We have to have confidence and the belief that we can get something out of it. We’re looking forward to it and want to try our hand against a team at a level we’ve never faced before. They have players who are big favourites for the Ballon d’Or — an extreme attacking force. But I do believe we are tough enough to face them,” Tripić said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ).
Tripić certainly understands the scale of the task ahead. With Harry Kane leading the line and Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, and Jamal Musiala providing Bayern with an abundance of attacking quality, the German champions possess the firepower to overwhelm almost any opponent.
However, Viking will look to make the most of their opportunity, relying on confidence, determination, and defensive resilience to give themselves a chance of producing a memorable result.
Bayern will enter the matchup as overwhelming favorites, but Tripić’s message is clear: Viking are not traveling just to admire their opponents. They intend to compete and see whether they can pull off a surprise.
