Who is the top scorer of 2026? Raphinha hunting down runaway leader Harry Kane
· Football365
Harry Kane is miles clear as the leading scorer in 2026 among players from Europe’s top leagues, scoring his Bayern Munich goals at a daft rate.
Kylian Mbappe scored a ludicrous 58 goals for Real Madrid in 2025, which was 10 goals more than nearest challenger Harry Kane.
But Kane was out of the blocks like a bullet in 2026, having already opened up a lead over the field and raced to the 30-goal landmark in the Bundesliga for the season.
The criteria: All club goals in all competitions for clubs in Europe’s top 10 leagues. Minutes per goal is your tie-breaker when players are level on goals scored, which a lot of them still are.
Who are the top scorers of 2026 from across Europe?
- 10) Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) – 20 goals As performatively unbothered as he is, Olise is also a phenomenal footballer. His first hat-trick for Bayern Munich inspired a thrashing of Union and more laborious Ballon d’Or chat.
- 9) Erling Haaland – 21 goals A goal against Sunderland before the international break not only took Haaland to 20 for the calendar year, but also meant he ticked off a rare blank on his CV. He’s now scored against all 25 Premier League teams he’s ever played against for Man City. Back on the goal trail against Liverpool, despite nobody knowing if any of it means anything.
- 8) Vedat Muriqi (Mallorca/Fenerbahce) – 21 goals The Kosovo striker has got himself in amongst some exalted company with four goals (and an assist) in Fenerbahce’s 8-0 thrashing of Eyupspor. It’s not entirely come from nowhere, mind, given he also managed 14 goals in the second half of the 25/26 La Liga season for Mallorca.
- 7) Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) – 21 goals Won absolutely nothing last season with Real Madrid for the second successive season but has begun this campaign under Jose Mourinho with eight goals in eight games, including a hat-trick v Real Sociedad. Definitely shouldn’t win him the Ballon d’Or, mind.
- 6) Donyell Malen (Roma) – 21 goals Absolutely the January signing of the season, the Dutchman’s goals taking the Italian capital club back into the Champions League. Then he opened the new season with five goals in two games.
- 5) Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – 23 goals The World Cup winner vaulted into the top 10 with back-to-back braces for a Barcelona side currently scoring goals for fun in La Liga, and he’s now added a third brace. We think he might be truly recovered from injury.
- 4) Vangelis Pavlidis (Benfica) – 24 goals A season that began in July has already reaped 13 goals for the Greek striker, who has pulled his team through Europa League qualifying and grabbed a hat-trick in a 7-0 win in the league.
- 3) Luis Suarez (Sporting) – 28 goals Not that one. The 28-year-old Colombian seamlessly replaced Viktor Gyokeres and has scored goals for fun, including a double in the Champions League v PSG and another in the comeback win over Bodo/Glimt. Couldn’t find the goal Sporting needed at the Emirates, though. Ended the season as the top scorer in the Portuguese league with 28 goals but his goal in the cup final was in vain as Sporting surprisingly lost to Torreense. After a poor World Cup, he is already flying in 26/27, including a Champions League strike v Galatasaray.
- 2) Raphinha (Barcelona) – 28 goals Now playing up front for Barcelona after the departure of Robert Lewandowski and started the 26/27 season in ridiculous fashion. He could score a boatload of goals this season in this team.
- 1) Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) – 37 goals Last year’s runner-up had another excellent start to 2026, which began with an 8-1 win over Wolfsburg and took in the career 500-goal mark in February. There’s little wonder that Bayern are so keen to nail him down to a new contract.
The serial winner scored in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final win and semi-final defeat to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, before wrapping up his Bundesliga campaign with a hat-trick in much the same way he delivered Bayern the DFB Pokal against Stuttgart.
He played two whole games for Bayern Munich without a goal this season before the cup gave him the chance to open his account with a brace, and he’s now up and running in this year’s Champions League and Bundesliga, where he’s also now become the fastest player ever to reach the 100-goal landmark having got there in just his 98th game. Kane goals this year have arrived on average once every 70 minutes, and that’s just plain nutty.
