Antonio Conte 'Ready' For New Job Amid Man Utd Rumours

Fabrizio Romano updates on Antonio Conte's potential move to Manchester United amid manager speculation.
Manchester United have been linked with a move to appoint former Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on his situation.
Michael Carrick does appear to be safe in his job at the moment, but after an inconsistent start to the season, it wouldn't be a surprise if things changed over the coming weeks.
The Red Devils face fellow strugglers Tottenham on Saturday evening, with a defeat for either side likely to ramp up the pressure on both Roberto De Zerbi or Carrick.
United currently sit in 12th position in the Premier League, while Spurs sit bottom of the table with just two points.
Losing to Spurs, who are without a win so far this season, could be disastrous for Carrick, and Conte could be there for the taking.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano has confirmed that Conte is ready to find a new job , and he wants to go into a top club with a lot of history.
> "So Antonio Conte sending a clear message. Some of you asking me already about Manchester United, what can happen? What I can tell you is that Antonio Conte is absolutely ready to restart. Antonio Conte left Napoli in the summer, and Antonio Conte would be ready to restart. He rejected approaches from Saudi Arabia. He rejected approaches from Turkey because he wanted to go to a historical club and in a top, top league. So this is the mission. Then let's see what's going to happen."
This comes after Conte spoke to the media recently, confirming that he wants to join a top club in the near future .
> “There are many clubs that have somewhat lost sight of their history. I’d like to go to one of these clubs to dust off that history and make it shine once more. Clubs where there’s pressure, where, ultimately, you know full well that you’re not going there just to take part, but to compete.”
Some United supporters might feel that he's hinting at a club like the Red Devils. A club that once had a lot of history, but have dropped off over the last few years.
A change of manager doesn't appear to be in the immediate plans of United, especially after Carrick helped them qualify for the Champions League last season, but there's no doubt results will need to improve.
Michael Carrick was sweating on a number of key players ahead of playing Spurs in the Premier League
Reports have suggested that Conte is one of the managers who would be in the frame if United were to sack Carrick in the near future.
Separate reports have also suggested that Conte would be willing to make the move to Old Trafford to replace Carrick , which is in line with the interview he gave earlier this month.
Conte is currently without a job after leaving Napoli earlier this year.
It wouldn't be the first time he has managed in the Premier League, having won the Premier League title with Chelsea and also managed Tottenham more recently.
