The management of Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain continues to be debated. While the Spanish coach has decided to rest Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes for the reception at Le Mans on Saturday evening (8:45 p.m.), Daniel Riolo believes that all the Parisian players are not in the same boat. On the set ofAfter Foot of RMCthe consultant notably defended the idea of a well-established hierarchy within the locker room, despite Luis Enrique’s speech on the absence of any particular status. “ I think the eleven has it. He has twelve guys. He’s doing everything to get these guys on top physically in February “, he explained, before insisting: “ there is no punishment, there are statuses in the team. Dembélé has a higher status than Mayulu or any other player on the team. There are some who have won two Champions Leagues, they have status, they are big names. »

A point of view which contrasts with that of Guillaume Hoarau, also present in the show. For the former Parisian striker, Luis Enrique remains above all faithful to his collective philosophy and does not intend to grant privileges to his stars. “ Nothing is going to change. He will continue to want to put the best team, regardless of the players “, he assured. “ He talked about star status again and he means it when he says it. It’s hard to believe it, but what matters to him is his team. » Hoarau recognizes, however, that a typical eleven will naturally end up emerging over the course of the meetings. In the meantime, the Spanish technician must manage the return of his internationals after a three-week break, with a busy schedule including a shock against Manchester City in the Champions League in the coming days.
