UEFA has just revealed the identity of the referee who will officiate on Tuesday for the long-awaited Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona (9:00 p.m.). It was the Englishman Michael Oliver who was appointed to supervise the meeting.
The 51-year-old referee had already been on the whistle for the match between the Catalans and the Parisians, in October 2025, on the Barcelona pitch. PSG won at the time thanks to goals from Senny Mayulu and Gonçalo Ramos (1-2). Oliver also officiated during PSG’s victory against Brest (7-0) two seasons ago. It was also he who refereed the Champions League group match between Barcelona and Bayern Munich in 2021, at the Camp Nou (3-0 victory for Bayern Munich).
