FC Barcelona continue to scour the European market for young players with significant potential, and one of the names to have emerged on their radar is Justin Ejodamen .
The midfielder is only 15 years old and currently plays in Borussia Dortmund’s youth system.
Of Nigerian descent and an Italy youth international, Ejodamen is regarded as one of the most promising young players in German football, with his development attracting attention from several major European clubs.
Barcelona tracking Ejodamen
Now, according to reports relayed by SPORT , Barcelona have been monitoring his progress for some time and have scouting reports on the midfielder.
Their scouts have watched him with Dortmund and with the Italy Under-16 side. As such, the La Liga champions are considered among the leading candidates to sign him.
However, competition for his signing will be significant. Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Chelsea are also following the youngster closely, while Juventus and AC Milan in Italy are monitoring his situation.
Borussia Dortmund are aware of his potential and want to secure his future, with the German club considering offering him a long-term contract.
A midfielder with Bellingham-like qualities
Born in Germany on 19 April 2011, Ejodamen will turn 16 next April, a date that could be important for his future.
His age places restrictions on any potential international transfer, although FIFA regulations provide certain exceptions for transfers involving players aged between 16 and 18 within the European Union.
Ejodamen is a dynamic midfielder with physical power, strong ball-carrying ability and a willingness to get forward. He stands out for his ability to break lines and contribute at both ends of the pitch.
Those qualities have led some observers to compare him with Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, another major talent who developed at Dortmund before moving on to the highest level.
For now, Barcelona already have him under close observation, although there is currently no indication that the Catalan club have made a formal offer.
It remains to be seen how the situation evolves, especially with several other top European sides tracking the teenager.
