Chelsea star Valentin Barco once again under fire after 'disgusting' Argentina incident vs Burkina Faso.

Footage involving Argentine player Valentin Barco has caused a big stir online. The incident occurred after his nation took on Burkina Faso in their latest international fixture.

Lionel Scaloni's men romped to a 7-0 victory, with goals from Lautaro Martinez, Gianluca Prestianni, Nico Paz, Julian Alvarez, Franco Mastantuono, and Giuliano Simeone, while Moumoune Diallo netted an own goal. However, the travelling team were hampered by travel issues.

Indeed, Burkina Faso arrived in Argentina just five hours before kick-off after a private flight from Morocco was cancelled because of a "technical failure". As per BBC Sport, match organisers said several of the team's senior players also refused to travel , citing fatigue, which meant they fielded a young, inexperienced team at Estadio Monumental shortly after the 11-hour flight.

Beyond that drama before the game, a post-match incident has gone viral.

In a clip shared on social media, which now has over 4.6 million views, the Argentina players seem to ignore their African opponents after the full-time whistle. At one moment, a man in a lanyard appears to try to shake the hand of midfielder Barco, but the Chelsea ace completely ignores him.

You can watch the clip below:

Many online were unhappy with the behaviour, as one wrote: "One of the reasons I will never support or like Argentina. They are trash humans who think they are better than others."

Another added: "Nah, it makes me feel really sorry that the people of Burkina Faso expect to be greeted." A third said: "My God! What arrogance!" Someone else stated: "What a bunch of disgusting people and players."

Speaking directly about Chelsea player Barco, somebody noted:

> "I’ve known Colo Barco since he debuted at Boca; that day my nephew asked him for a photo, and he had the same attitude haha—humility isn’t his strong suit."

Another said: "The little guy [Barco] ended up totally exposed—his filth was laid bare." One more wrote: "A man's respect is measured by how he treats those who can't offer him anything. Here's a clear example... sad."

Another summed up the mood, noting: "Tremendous arrogance because the greeting isn't given according to the rival, you greet out of a matter of respect. And the thing with Barco is disgusting."

Barco, who joined Chelsea in the summer from RC Strasbourg, made plenty of headlines at the World Cup , but not so much for what he did with the ball at his feet. Instead, his most notable incident occurred when he clashed with Jude Bellingham after England's semi-final defeat .

The Argentine appeared to have run down to the England dugout to celebrate in front of Thomas Tuchel's staff and substitutes after Enzo Fernandez's equaliser, leaving many of the players angered. Barco's show of poor sportsmanship then prompted Bellingham to later slap him.

The Chelsea star's wife Yaz Jaureguy then called out the Englishman , claiming: "It’s better to do the talking on the field.” She also added at the end of her message the phrase, 'Meurto', which directly translates to 'dead', although it likely means 'useless' in that context.

She followed this up by writing: "I didn’t know that suddenly you can’t celebrate goals, but you can endorse a violent person. Switch to a different sport if you’re going to cry so much. Good day."
