INEOS Not Getting Enough Credit For Youth Recruitment at Man Utd

· GiveMeSport

Despite fan protests, INEOS has improved youth recruitment at Manchester United, securing talents from rival clubs.

Manchester United's owners, INEOS, have been criticised heavily lately, with fans setting up protests.

The Red Devils have been going through a difficult period for a fair few years now, and the supporters have had enough of their lack of success.

United have endured a fairly difficult start to the Premier League season, which currently sees them sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Michael Carrick's side have won just once in England's top flight this campaign, prompting protests from supporters against the ownership.

It was a relatively disappointing summer transfer window for the Red Devils, only really strengthening in the middle of the park.

United failed to bring in the left-back they might have needed, while they also failed to strengthen their forward line.

United fans are clearly not happy with the situation, but it's not all bad when it comes to INEOS.

One area of the club that INEOS do deserve to be given credit for is the youth recruitment, particularly this season.

United have not only strengthened their academy significantly, but they've also poached young talents from some of their rival clubs.

The Red Devils recently confirmed the signings of both Karim Cassim and Isaac Konde. Cassim has arrived at Old Trafford from rivals Manchester City, while Konde makes the move from Liverpool.

Earlier in the summer, United also secured the signature of David Eze from City, showing they still have plenty of pull in the North West area, despite their struggles and Liverpool and City's success.

United also signed young winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham, so it's safe to say youth recruitment has been a huge priority for the club over the last few months.

Manchester United are already 'succession-planning' with Carrick under pressure

United supporters don't appear willing to give INEOS any credit at the moment, but they do deserve it for their youth recruitment of late.

Unfortunately for INEOS, United might not see the benefits of their youth recruitment for many years, which works against them when it comes to fan satisfaction.

INEOS might not be perfect, but they are getting some things right at Old Trafford. There's every chance it wasn't INEOS' decision to improve their youth recruitment in the summer transfer window, but they've put the right people in place in order to make those decisions.

Signing players from rival clubs at the age United are looking to poach them can be a smart move, both financially and from a football perspective.

United can acquire big talents for next to nothing in what is a low risk, high reward move, with the players having the potential to make them plenty of money in the future.
