Spurs Fans Slam 'Disgraceful' Player After 3-1 Loss vs Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their frustrations with Mohammed Kudus following their Carabao Cup exit to Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have accused one of their players of a 'lazy' performance after they crashed out of the Carabao Cup following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.
The hosts took the lead in the 21st minute when Alexis Mac Allister fired home with a superb effort that mirrored his strike against Atletico Madrid last week. Spurs had chased Cody Gakpo's signature in the summer and the Dutchman compounded their woes with an excellent finish in the 54th minute.
Conor Gallagher got the visitors back into the game in the 69th minute after some poor defending from Andoni Iraola's men, before Dominik Szoboslzai produced a Steven Gerrard-like thunderbolt in the 90+1st minute.
For Roberto De Zerbi and his team, their disastrous start to the season continued. They remain without a win since the campaign started, although they do finally have a goal.
Another defeat for Spurs has started to put De Zerbi under pressure given how much his club spent in the summer. The Italian coach hasn't been helped by haphazard performances from his players and Mohammed Kudus failed to convince on Merseyside.
Kudus who missed the second half of last season with a hamstring injury, hasn't quite hit the heights for the Lilywhites that preceded him at West Ham United. The Ghanaian winger had built a strong reputation at the London Stadium but on tonight's evidence, he's in need of a confidence boost.
The 26-year-old had a good opportunity to try and get Spurs back into the game during the second half but saw his effort denied by Giorgi Mamardashvili. He couldn't get a foothold in the game and De Zerbi opted to bring him off in the Savio in the 75th minute.
During his time on the pitch, Kudus found his man with just one of four attempted crosses, missed one big chance and completed just one of four dribble attempts. With Savio now competing with him for a starting berth, he did himself no favours with his showing.
Spurs fans noticed Kudus' lack of effort during the defeat to Liverpool and questioned his desire and whether his lengthy injury is still having an effect.
> One fan on X wrote: "Kudus has been shocking too. That injury has really affected him."
> Another supporter said: "Kudus has been insanely lazy, I am sorry he shouldnt allow Gakpo that much time to shoot."
> One added: "Spineless, it’s the same crap every week. Utterly cowardly. Tel has been the best of the front 4 which speaks volume. Marmoush so frustrating. Kudus forgot how to play football. Honestly just appalling."
> Another slammed the former West Ham man: "Disgraceful performance from Mohammed Kudus tonight."
> One fan agreed: "Oh mate I can’t watch Kudus the guy is useless."
> Another wrote: "What is going on with Kudus? Looks like he’d rather be somewhere else!"
> One added: "Kudus has been abysmal."
Richarlison saw De Zerbi's comments and he couldn't resist responding.
Kudus joined Spurs from West Ham in a £55m deal back in the summer of 2025 and many expected him to become a talisman in North London. That hasn't quite been the case and injury issues appear to be plaguing him.
