Benoit Badiashile spoke to DAZN before the Maradona match against Roma. The defender discussed his adjustment to Italy and the challenge facing Gasperini’s men.
> “I’m really happy to be here. It was a bit difficult at first, because the culture is different from England, but now I’ve settled in and I feel better. Everything’s fine,” Badiashile said.
The French defender then discussed his relationship with Malen, which they had already discussed during their time together in the Premier League in recent years.
> “I think he’s an excellent striker. I faced him when he was at Aston Villa. I think to stop him, we have to defend as a team. It doesn’t just depend on me or a single player, but on the whole team. Today, we’ll try to stop him and all of Roma,” concluded Badiashile.
