Barcelona and Nike have unveiled a special collection of personalised football boots ahead of Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid on October 25, 2026.
The boots feature a minimalist white design with turquoise detailing, but the standout feature is the individual messages chosen by the players to express their identity, ambitions and connection with the Catalan club.
The collection spans Nike’s Mercurial Vapor, Mercurial Superfly, Phantom and Tiempo ranges, giving the players a personal way to mark one of the biggest fixtures of the season.
Barcelona stars choose messages that reflect their ambitions
The personalised inscriptions offer a glimpse into the mindset of the players preparing for the meeting with Real Madrid.
Rodri has chosen “Nacido para esto”, meaning “Born for this” , while Joan Garcia’s Phantom boots will carry “Missió #1: Guanyar”, translated as “Mission #1: Win” .
Xavi Espart, meanwhile, will wear “El somni continua”, or “The dream continues” , reflecting his ambitions for the future.
Hamza Abdelkarim will feature the Arabic inscription, which translates to “History starts here” , on his Phantom boots.
Among the Mercurial wearers, Alejandro Balde has opted for “Culer des del primer dia” ( A culer from day one ), expressing his lifelong connection with Barcelona. Joao Cancelo’s message is shorter but equally direct: “Barça, sempre”, meaning “Barça, always” .
Frenkie de Jong’s Tiempo boots will feature “Otra noche, misma ambición”, translated as “Another night, same ambition” .
Furthermore, Karim Adeyemi has selected “This is why I came” , while Gavi’s message reinforces his demanding approach with “El 100% no es suficiente”, meaning “100% isn’t enough” .
Nike’s El Clasico collection puts personality at the centre
By giving each player the opportunity to select a personal inscription, Barcelona and Nike have connected the boots to the individual stories and motivations behind the club’s first-team squad.
The design’s white base and turquoise accents offer a restrained look, while the messages provide the distinctive element.
Each inscription carries a personal meaning, ranging from confidence and determination to loyalty and the pursuit of future success.
As reported by the club, the collection has already featured in the women’s Clasico, where Claudia Pina wore the boots on October 4 and scored four goals against Real Madrid in Liga F.
