Fears have been confirmed for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. After a collision with Barcelona full-back Xavi Espart in Tuesday night’s Champions League match, the Paris Saint-Germain winger has suffered a serious knee injury.
In a medical update released on Wednesday morning, the Parisian club announced that the Georgian had “suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee” during the match against FC Barcelona. He will undergo surgery in the coming days.
The diagnosis is less severe for Ousmane Dembélé and Marquinhos, who both sustained thigh injuries. PSG reported that both players had suffered thigh muscle damage.
