The question of who would score first in tonight’s Champions League blockbuster has now been answered: PSG lead thanks to a goal from Désiré Doué in the 38th minute.
It was Lamine Yamal, of all people, who carelessly chipped the ball infield from the right, into the space between the penalty area and the halfway line. João Neves intercepted the poor pass, and the ball then found its way to Doué, who had far too much space outside the box and scored to make it 1-0.
Here’s how the fans in the stadium celebrated the goal:
The Parisians are now in the more comfortable position, while Flick’s side will need to offer more in the second half. They are currently second best at the Parc des Princes.
