Barcelona star Rodri has this weekend revealed his take that he and his teammates must improve as a defensive unit to reach their maximum potential.

This comes fresh off the Blaugrana conceding two goals for the latest occasion on Saturday.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course fresh off keeping alive a flawless opening to the new campaign yesterday evening, courtesy of a La Liga triumph at Real Betis.

En route to an 11th win from 11 to open the season, the reigning Spanish champions found the net another five times.

At the other end, though, Barca continued to give up goalscoring opportunities, culminating in a pair of goals conceded, and another disallowed by VAR.

Ahead of facing off with Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, the aforementioned Rodri was therefore keen to highlight the need for improvement at the back on the part of Barcelona as a collective:

> “PSG are possibly the best team in the world. It will be a good test for us. We are quite good in attack, but we have to improve a lot in defence. We still concede way too much. We have to adjust that to reach our full potential.”
