An alarming statistic surrounding the wastefuless of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé in front of goal across the season to date has come to the fore online.

This comes amid the revelation that the Frenchman has wasted more major chances than any other player in Europe’s leading leagues across the season to date.

Frontman Mbappé, on the face of it, has enjoyed another productive campaign thus far in 2026/27.

All told, across 10 appearances between La Liga and the Champions League, the 27-year-old has found the net an impressive nine times.

Along the way, though, Mbappé has actually been singled out for regular criticism, owing to his shortcomings when placed in promising positions in the final third.

And as alluded to above, on Saturday, such woes have been aptly summed up by one head-turning statistic. As revealed by statisticians WhoScored:

> ‘Kylian Mbappé has missed more big chances (12) than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season.’
