Bayern Munich showed their true form in the 6-1 in over RB Leipzig, in a match that saw four different goalscorers pop up on the score sheet for Bayern. Joshua Kimmich spoke about the match afterwards and gave his thoughts on how his team performed.
> “The first 60 minutes of the game were really good. The last 30 were fine, but the first 60 we played at our real level again,” Kimmich said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). “I’m especially really happy for Lucho. He deserved this today. He was unfortunate at the start of this season – he delivered incredible numbers for us last season. So I’m so happy he was man of the match today. I always try to keep my head up and look for runners behind the backline. We have many players who make runs into the spaces, and that’s so important. Lucho did that very well today,” Kimmich concluded.
Luis Díaz is at the forefront of this success thanks to his hat-trick and rediscovery of form. The team still has areas they can improve on, but it’s a step in the right direction.
