Everton vs Chelsea LIVE: Pedro Neto puts the Blues ahead just seconds into second half

· FootballLondon

Live coverage of Chelsea's clash against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Hello and welcome to football.london's live coverage of Everton versus Chelsea from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Blues returned to winning ways last weekend, enjoying a 5-1 win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Xabi Alonso's side had a bit of a hiccup just before the international break, dropping points to Arsenal, Hull City, and Brentford.

But Chelsea put the three weeks on the grass at Cobham training ground to good use, breaking into the top six of the Premier League. As for the Toffees, they remain one of three unbeaten teams in the English top flight this season, and boast the joint-strongest defensive record.

That said, however, David Moyes' side has only won two of its six games and scored just eight goals. If the Blues manage to beat Everton by at least four goals, and Hull City defeat Brentford on Sunday afternoon, they'll finish the weekend in the Champions League qualification places.

So, with that being said, stay with us at football.london as we bring you all the latest match updates and analysis LIVE from the Hill Dickinson Stadium...

Hazard eyes titles race

During an interview with Stake, Eden Hazard backed Chelsea to challenge for the Premier League title this season. The Blues legend said:

> "Even when we're lower down the table, Chelsea are still a tough opponent for the other Premier League teams. > > "So imagine when we're up near the top. We'll be able to compete with everyone this season, and obviously that includes those two sides (Manchester City and Arsenal) as well. > > "There are historic clubs that, on paper, will always be difficult to beat, like us or Manchester United. That's why I'll be coming to support the team at the end of October against Man United!"

Half-time thoughts

Chelsea have done well to match the physicality and the intensity in front of a rowdy crowd, but they're treading a fine line. The Blues haven't had much to shout about in the final third, so David Moyes' side will be satisfied with the scoreline... for the time being.

The likes of Neto, Acheampong, and Rogers, who are all booked, just need to be careful!

Shearer backs Everton to stand strong

Speaking to Betfair, Alan Shearer tipped Everton to hold Chelsea to a draw. The all-time Premier League top scorer said:

> "I see Everton still being unbeaten and I'm going to go for a draw. > > "I think it is really tough to call though. With that forward line for Chelsea of Palmer, Rogers and Joao Pedro, you’d do well to stop them, but I think Everton will also score as well because I'm not convinced by Chelsea defensively and I think it will be a score draw. " > > "That front three for Chelsea are brilliant. They offer a bit of class in different ways. Their movement is superb as well as ability to handle the ball. If they can keep those three fit, Chelsea are a great watch. > > "They're very entertaining because they do concede goals, but they flew out the blocks last week, didn't they? That's what they can do to you. They can hurt you. However, I'm going to go for a score draw against Everton."
