Everywhere you want me. >> [music] >> I want you to know Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Awesome. [music] [music] [music] >> [music] >> Look at those. [music] [music] >> [music] >> Christmas. [music] [music] [music] Tonight [music] [music] [music] is yours. >> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Hallelujah. >> [music] [music] [music] >> I know. [music] Come on. begging begging you in hand. I'm begging begging you. Miss >> [music] >> I am. Happy [music] wonderful. Okay. All right. That's enough. Please welcome the teams of Spain and Brazil. [music] >> [music] >> Match day two of the 2026 UEFA Friendship Cup continues from the center sport [music] in Neo, Spain versus Brazil in Group B. There's [music] perhaps the most anticipated clash of this year's group stage. arguably the world's two outstanding footballing nations [music] at this level going head-to-head in a meeting that is likely [music] to decide the identity of one of our finalists this year if you are able before we start today we'll begin with the anthems Okay. [music] [music] Hallelujah. [music] Hallelujah. [music] [music] [music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] >> [music] [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] [music] >> [music] >> Please remain standing for the national anthem of Spain. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] >> [music] [music] [music] [applause] >> Both of these nations won their opening fixtures with head-to-head, the tiebreaking factor in the group stage. Whoever wins this one is guaranteed to finish top of group B after three matches, whatever happens this coming Wednesday. It's a big moment for both of these sets of players. Spain have rung the changes for tonight's game. Only H Domingos Leuba retains his place in their starting 11. All the rest are rotated. So that means starts for match day one's two goal scorers, Eloy Gometh and Yeremiah Ramos. Owen Imika also starts for Spain. You have another local referee overseeing things today. Hire him Cavani of Switzerland. Unlike Spain, Brazil have largely picked the same team as match day one. There's only one change for them. Luca Karamiku who scored twice against Canada replaces Brienne Lima in the starting 11. Edward concoue also scored against the Canadians. A brace in the case of the impressive Fukim's earlier game. Canada beat Kotivo on penalties and so now have two points to the Ivorians one at kickoff today. Spain and Brazil have three points a piece. Essentially it means that uh anyone who wins this game here tonight cannot therefore be overtaken on six points. Being that head-to-head advantage is the first tiebreaker. A draw would keep us guessing. because whoever were to win the penalty shootout, it would still make things uh possible to go either way on final day. Remember, if it is a shootout, uh if we're tied at 90 minutes, that means one point a piece and an extra one if you win on penalties. So theoretically, for example, even if Spain win today on penalties, theoretically Canada could still win the group if they were to beat Spain on match day three. >> Seems that Spain will get us underway with their much changed team. and I suspect their strongest team on paper. Certainly, it made a huge difference when a lot of these lads stepped off the substitutes bench against K Divoir on match day one. Ramos will kick us off momentarily and they are underway in this group B match between Spain and Brazil. Very sunny early evening in Neil as Holmes Yunor assesses his options before finding Exposito. Early touch for Pon in goal. His first appearance of this year's competition. Latuba smashes it long looking for Owen Mika. It will be a Spanish throw. Rolex Pito will take it. Emma flicking it into space for himself and just about delivering the cross, but Brazil should be able to get it away here. Poor clearance though, rebounding nicely for the Spanish and a first save from Arur Sen. The Brazilian goalkeeper will be grateful for that. Nice and easy for him. David Bindu who was outstanding for Brazil in their huge win against Canada on match day one. 6n the score line. Brendu getting one of the goals himself. Spanish Sportingly putting the ball out of play here because there's a problem for Mus Pesi. I think there will be a spot of treatment for the Brazilian player. Spain, one of the strongest nations in world football, under 18 and under 17 level. Brazil arguably the world's strongest footballing nation at that age group. And of course, today's game also a very useful bit of extra match preparation for both sets of players ahead of the fourthcoming FIFA Under 17 World Cup which commences in November in Qatar. Pesi will rejoin us again shortly. Actually, it's not Pesi. I think it's Cersei. Here is Peske >> finding Pesosi with that challenge. Ingga continues. Big chance for Spain. Another good start from Aruren. Christian showing his pace, showing his close control and showing his upper body strength. The Brazilians couldn't stop him, but goalkeeper Aruasen could. They've got another injury problem here. Edardo Pope back on the field of play after his problem a moment or two earlier but there are some signals to the bench here that this might be serious just uh seeing it was maybe Brendu gesturing toward the technical area that maybe a stretcher might be needed. Let's certainly hope not. Brazil fourtime World Cup winners under 17 level and they lead the charts for games, wins and goals at that particular tournament. Spain, meanwhile, a runners up four times, the most without winning it of any nation. Looks like it could be a shoulder problem as Spain take the corner. Brazil once again temporarily down to 10 men, not able to clear their lines. Bos Sales to Sen to Cersei. Marcus Pesishi waiting to come back on. Definitely looked like he fell heavily and perhaps jarred his shoulder, but he's okay. No way through for Risha Wendell over on the far side. >> Brazil yet to mount their first significant attack here. you. Ties back to Arturen. Good to see so many spectators here. Entry free today and all of the uh local communities encouraged to participate. Yellow card shown to Sis I think for his aerial challenge and with 7 and 1/2 minutes gone. It has been a stop start affair with players getting injured and now bring Sales has got a caution for his part in the whole thing. As soon as he made that aerial challenge, you could hear the Brazilian bench reacting. Clearly, referee Cavana felt they had a point. Pasque tuba across to Yunor. Company couldn't get it under control. Brazil still looking for their first extended spell of possession here. >> Spanish throw. Well, they did eventually run up an extremely large margin of victory against the Canadians. It was only 1 nil at Halime in that one. This looks promising for Brazil. Decent save by Ponte. Risha Wendell breaking from his left back position and letting fly >> exposito Dominguez Leuba once again going long. He's not afraid of that pass. The central defender It's Pito with the throw. Clear foul on the edge of the box, but play being allowed to continue. Wendell battle going on with And will restart himself from the throw in here. Well, there's an opportunity for the Spanish with Ena. He's isolated his marker and shooting across the face of goal. He has looked extremely dangerous in the opening exchanges here. Very quick over the first few yards. It's on the books athletic club. Christiana played in the UEFA Youth League for them last season. Already the Spanish are showing their quality. Enjoyable and competitive start to this game between our South American and European representatives. This year's competition, it looks like Marcus Pesi is not going to be able to continue. I think I saw his number on the board there. We'll find out shortly. And he is still holding that shoulder. Yun Pesqueke Sportingly puts it out. So Octavio Gabrielle can replace Marcus Pesy. replayed by number 22. That's a pity for Pesi and Brazil. >> When he went down ahead of that Spanish corner early in the game, there were a lot of frantic signs toward the technical area that he might be in trouble. And so it would prove it's either a dislocated shoulder or a badly strained one. Now hypes for Spain. Early cross from him cleared by Salis. Yuno Dominguez lea. It'll be a Brazilian throw. The Canarinia very much forced on the defensive in the opening 15 minutes here. Just the one shot from them so far. Risha Wendle hitting the target, but they've not really been able to find their front players or get them involved in the game at all up to now. The South Americans, >> Spain, on the other hand, looking dangerous every time they get the ball in that final third of the field. Brendu to ascend Bindu. gets it back from Pope. First time Brazil has really been able to try and dictate the tempo. It's just never easy against any Spanish team. Absolutely ingrained in all Spanish footballers at all age levels. The importance of controlling the game. Little room here. Pepe with the early pass and Gabrielle has to settle for the throw. Chances out under pressure. Brazilian throw. >> Leonardo Cersei. Early cross from him. Nice and easy for Ponte. He looks to get the Spanish on the attack immediately. Ramos the target of that goal kick. The referee giving the foul against the striker who felt he was the one pulled to the ground. Tali's out to Wendell. Unfortunate slip from Conc Sao. I think it might have been. >> Oh, that's a dreadful mistake. And that could be a penalty. The referee waves play on. Just for a moment, Brazil looked like they were in. Poor touch from Gu Ponte in goal. Almost catastrophic for the Spanish, but they survived it. And now they have the throw. Foul given against Eddie Kanye who pleads his innocence but it will be a Brazilian free kick here. Long way out but certainly a opportunity for Risha Wendell to pick out a teammate with that wand of the left foot of his. Brendu and Salis are forward and took it short in the end. And that really was uh not what Brazil intended at all. And now they might be a touch vulnerable on the counterattack led by Ingga Kanye. Back to Inga that was an important challenge from Luca Karamiko who was forced into defensive actions. Made a real mess with that free kick, didn't they? The Brazilians Yika picks Pacito. Plenty of time here for Holmes Junior Pipesque. Dominguez Leuver's ball forward. Inga, a very useful outlet for the Spanish so far. Gth with the misplaced pass. Maybe this could be an opportunity for Brazil. Spanish getting back now. Celis knotted on by Wendell. He then ran into his opponent and stayed down, but nothing has been given. Still down and the referee eventually stops the game. [applause] Spain were semi-finalists at this summer's European under 17 Championships. They lost to Italy on penalties at the semi-final stage. Spain have won that continental title three times in the past. And still getting a bit of treatment. Leonardo Cersei is covering for him at left back at the moment. Pascio came with that toa exposito had the opportunity to cross and that'll be a goal kick despite the Spanish claims for a corner. Hey, Junior approaching the midway point of the first half although we've had a number of stoppages. No score in Neo between the under8s of Spain and Brazil. Marco Deid Kanye Mika trying to turn away from Wendell who's back with us taking on three Mika and Brazil can't quite escape this Spanish ability to win that ball back so quickly In the match day one game, Spain was similarly dominant against Kot Divoir. But the Africans scored with their only shot on target in the first half, meaning that Spain had to throw on the substitutes and chase the game in the second half, which they did to great success. Pacito dispossessed. >> Concess who's not seen much of the ball up to now, but he's a phenomenal goal scorer when he gets the chance. Dispossessed that time by Exposito. Did well coming away from his right back position and winning it back. Dominguez Vuba finding Gomez. Yunior to Pasquer. Foul given. Roberto Thomas and Christiana between them bringing down Otavio Gabrielle. Talis and Sis has got to get this away. Oh, he slipped at the worst possible time. And I think he was helped out a little by the assistant referee on that far side. Free kick awarded after a lent into him. to a sen will restart for Brazil. 20 minutes left in the first half here. No score and uh not too many chances to speak of at this stage. company lost out. Cal was calling for it, but it went the other way to forake capp. No one waiting at the back stick. Spain have qualified for November's under 17s World Cup after missing last year's tournament. When November comes, they will be in a group with China, Fiji, and Morocco. And here's for Spain over on the far side taking on Wenda getting the cross in despite the presence of two Brazilian defenders. It's been very slim pickings for the strikers on both sides. So far Misunderstanding there between Cersei and Brendu. Spain back in possession as they have been for the majority of this game so far. Ingga still going. Christianing deflection on the cross. Brazil still unable to clear the danger. They have done now through Salis. Ingga really has got quite some ability to worry the Brazilians. Every time he gets it, he's managed to drift past his opponent. Pascing will get another chance here. This time, Brendu came out on top. Spain back in possession. No foul on Rodrigo Junior. He has stayed down. Play will continue though. Don't think the Spanish will put it out of play this time. I think they were a little bit unhappy with the way that Rodrigo Junior stayed down. But the longer he does, the more the pressure will be on the referee to stop play and that has now happened. Spanish captain Hans Junior was not at all happy. about the way that the Brazilian player went down. And in the meantime, a yellow card was also shown to a a member of the Spanish bench, I think it was, or difficult to tell from this angle. It was the Brazilian bench. I think they were unhappy that the game didn't stop quickly enough. >> Can't please anyone, can you? 30 minute mark approaching here and the ball has been dead a frustratingly large amount of time. Now Rodrigo Junior moving very Gingerely I think he will return. He certainly felt the force of that challenge from Holmes Junior. >> 15 minutes left in normal time at the end of this first half. Think Spain might want to lift the tempo a little bit. Pes Gometh to Imika who's got three men waiting for it in the box and more on the edge of the 18 yd area. Brazil successful though in their deep defending so far. What they've not been successful in is the transition. >> Not yet. Gometh >> picks pito mika's early pass to Gometh. Yuno Wood Pes little bit loose but still found a teammate Gome once more exposito patience from the Spanish here extended spell of possession just keep moving the ball looking for their opportunity See, it's not just that Spain produces talented and technically gifted young players. It's that they are all accustomed from a very very young age to controlling games through possession and combination play. That runs through all of Spanish football from the youngest groups all the way through to the senior national team. Ingga Gabriel trying to get to grips with him. Ingga again should be the goalkeepers and is keen. Back to Brendu. Cersei Salis Kamiku's pass. Gabriel couldn't catch it. Brazil are the number one seeded nation for the forthcoming under 17 World Cup. They are with Costa Rica, Tanzania, and the Republic of Ireland in their group stage. They play the Irish 1st on November the 21st. participation in this friendship cup very useful to both sets of players and both sets of technical staff in preparation for the World Cup. Getting their young players even more accustomed to playing against sides from different confederations. getting them to play against teams who play with different styles and different attitudes. And in the case of Spain and Brazil here getting to play against the very best. Ramos waiting in the middle. He'll keep waiting. Wendell tries a longer pass this time. I don't think that's Brazil's forte. Spain still doing all of the probing here, but unable to bypass the watertight Brazilian defense. >> Casia challenging Gabrielle and shoving him. Brazilian free kick. >> Kadamiku going nowhere fast and losing possession. Kadamiko diving in to try and block it and Spain lead. Yedomaya Ramos with the goal. And it had been coming. >> 37 minutes on the clock by player number 19. >> It came after an error in the Brazilian defense. Luca Kamiku caught in possession. Kamiko was repeatingly uh retreating towards his own goal here and descended upon by several red shirts and once it fell to Yeremiah Ramos. He was never going to miss his second goal of this tournament. >> He gives the Spanish the lead here. Although the goal did come from a Brazilian mistake, you can't say that the Spanish haven't been good value for their lead. Absolutely dominated up to now. And with Halime approaching, >> they lead the Brazilians by goal to nil, South Americans yet to show themselves as an attacking force in this game. We've hardly seen Cahou Fakeim, Rodrigo Junior, and Edoardo Concisa. >> Pon's ball forward. Here's some room for Rodrigo Junior. drives in the cross and it'll be a Brazilian corner. Cleared away by Horge Dominguez Leuba. Now they got one from a corner against the Canadians. Bindu nodding in unchallenged. I suspect the Spanish marking might be a little tighter. >> It's gone in short in the end. Gabriel with the cross. And >> goal kick is the outcome here. There's Brin Sly from the back. Car by Mika Cersei and do back to goalkeeper Sen. [applause] That Spanish press has worked so well in this first half and ultimately is the reason that the Spanish lead at this stage. The goal came as a direct result of catching the Brazilians in possession on the edge of their own box. In fact, I think it was in their own box. And just generally speaking, it's stopped them building from the back. Spain looking very much the more accomplished side at this stage. Here's Demp. Good interception by Pepe. Brazil trying to mount an attack now. Conc Sao couldn't find a way to get away from Eloy Gomez. Good interception by Brenu. Brazil looking to lift the tempo now as we move into the final five minutes of normal time at the end of the first half. Kamiko Gabriel back to Kamiko Salis unhappy with the lack of movement ahead of him. Pape as they are still struggling to pass their way through this Spanish side. Possession sacrificed again and Amika tries to make something happen on the far side. Good defending from Salis Wendell Cones inside of him. Cersei. Plenty of space on this near side for Gabrielle, but he needs an option otherwise he has to go back like that. Friends with the interception for Spain and that was well won by the goal scorer Yramar Ramos. And now Christiana in a lot of space for Spain onto his right foot and doubling the Spanish lead. Christianing has been the game's outstanding player for me so far. >> And he showed all of his quality there. [cheering] And you saw Christian in that amount of space. You always felt that Brazil could be in trouble. He cuts inside Brendu absolutely brilliantly and then smashed it past Arura then. And it's a long way back for Brazil now. 2-0 down to the Spanish before Halime and yet to get their attacking game going at all. Ever since the game's opening moments, Christian looked to be a real thorn in the side of the Brazilians and he did eventually get his goal. Spanish in complete control here. >> Going to have to try something different at some point. >> Bindu. Pepe Germaya Ramos finding him. Foul by Risha Wendell. The Brazilians have got to keep their heads here otherwise the game could be taken completely out of their con
