Search bag. I search What's up everybody? Oh my god. Come on. Oh. Thank you. Okay. What did I do? chicken. Christmas. [music] Please welcome the team of Brazil and >> [music] [music] >> Hello and welcome to live under 18 international football coming to you from UEFA headquarters in Switzerland. It is day three of play, the final group day of action in the UEFA Friendship Cup. the day when the final group standings will be determined. And accordingly, the day when the matches for the finals day this weekend will be confirmed. And our focus here on pitch six is group B. And a match that will more than likely determine who is runners up in the forom. Brazil against Ivory Coast, South America against Africa in this inclusive tournament that brings in all the confederations. It's been great fun. so far to watch. Ahead of the action here, we will have the national anthem. >> [music] [music] [music] >> Oh, [music] hey. [music] Hallelujah. >> [music] >> Are [music] you [music] ladies and gentlemen of Brazilian >> [music] [music] >> forever. [music] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. [music] >> [music] >> Hallelujah. [music] [music] >> [music] [music] >> Well, isn't that a well-known theme in international football? We've already had plenty of goals and plenty of drama on day three at the UEFA Friendship Cup with the other group being decided. Now, it's time for group B. Here is the Brazilian selection and coach Dudu went with his first choice lineup in games one and two. Today it's all change all bar the captain Eduardo Concis. The other 10 are different. Xiao Franca who was their only player yet to feature starts in their forward line here. We're expecting wing backs potentially from both actually, but we'll see soon enough once we've had kickoff. all Swiss officials as it has been naturally throughout this tournament. Zeno Brascalo is the man in charge and here's the lineup for K Divvoir includes a debuting goal for 16year-old Bona Tar. Otherwise, this is more or less first choice for them. Koulal has been a driving force in midfield. hasn't missed a minute yet. Up front, Jerasuba scored against the Spanish. He's back and so is Uber Yao, who is arguably the hottest of their forward prospects. He wears the number nine shirt. Two groups, so everything happens on one day in each of them. So this is the third match day, three days apart. And group A concluded this morning with a a stoppage time win for England to stay perfect. Three wins out of three. They beat Korea Republic. Colombia also won. They beat Egypt by two goals to one. What that means is that England have top group A. Colombia a second, Egypt third and Korea Republic fourth. And the reason that's of interest to these two is that regardless of finishing position, everyone will play a fourth match at this competition. They all happen this Saturday and the equivalent finishing positions in the group play one another. So given that that this is more than likely going to be the day the game that decides who comes second to Spain who can't technically be caught because of the head-to-head record in this group. The runners up here which is probably going to be one of these two unless Canada do something pretty remarkable will play Colombia. >> The runners up in group A. That's uh the first game to kick off this coming Saturday. Away we go then. Let's see how this much changed Brazilian lineup go. They toiled for a while against Canada. One up for a fair bit and then blitzed in the goals later on. Ended up winning 6-nil. They lost 3-1 to Spain. Ivory Coast have led in both games so far and yet only have one point out of six to show for it. They're even beating Spain for a while but lost that 2-1. They were beating Canada. [laughter] That game finished as a draw and the Canadians won the ensuing penalty shootout which gives them the extra point which is why right now as these games kick off simultaneously. By the way, Canada and Spain have just kicked off over the way there. Ivory Coast are bottom of the group by a point as it stands. Brazil in second, it's Spain six points, Brazil three, Canada two, Ivory Coast one. Of course, that will all change over the next 90 minutes. >> It's Tas Benny coming in at the back and Daniel Silva here, his partner. There's Benny of Bragantino sending it forward. Let's see whose wing backs can push whose wing backs. The furthest back >> physically a really strong side Ivory Coast. You've seen that in their tough tackling and athleticism so far in this competition. See Mory Dumbia here wearing 15. >> Looking more like a left wing back than a left back in this lineup. Teasing ball forward. Juto will chase. It's been well defended. Fourth in group A. Playing fourth in group B. Third and third. second and second and first and first that's how Saturday will happen that effectively is the final if you like to determine the winner of it has been an African winner this is only the third edition but the first was won by Marley a couple of years ago coast won't be able to add their name to that and Norwell Brazil because we know it is going to be in terms of the winners that is set the two group winners England have guaranteed it and Spain cannot be overtaken >> even if they were to and it would be a surprise lose to Canada in the other game that's just begun now. As for the rest, all bets are open as they say for who finishes second, third, and fourth in this group beneath them. Zilno will win. Guarantees them second. A draw probably will. Whether to lose this game, they'll almost certainly finish third, which would mean again a game against Egypt. Now >> first touch of the ball here for Artur Dval the young Santos keeper getting his first go at Sain of Atletico Paranain had been the keeper for the first two games different coaches have done it in different ways here some mixing it up in all three games all the time for Brazil it's been a a pretty obvious first choice 11 And now everyone else is getting a go in this game here. >> It's Nore embodying the the physicality of the Ivorian squad. Leonor who's just joined Paris Sanja from Versailles in France. Just a reminder if you haven't been seeing these games that if there's a draw, they go straight to a penalty shootout and an extra point is available. for the winner of that shootout. Ivory Coast had an epic shootout with Canada. 13 of the best penalties you'd ever see until a very fine save. Saw the Canadians come through for the extra point there. Here's Xiao Franca for Brazil. Oh, what a great ball in. First bit of danger in either box and it's a nice confidence boosting early catch for Bayon now. promoted from the under 16 group for this competition. Three different games, three different goalkeepers is the way coach Diabate has done it for coach Dvoir here. And Tar grabbed that very nicely. Garrick Con was between the posts for the last game including that shootout. Gibbro Katera the Paris FC goalkeeper started the the first game to Dvoir have scored and conceded in both so far. Brazil kept a clean sheet against Canada and scored six at the right end and beaten 3-1 by Spain. They were two-0 down and a couple of goals just before halftime but got back into it very quickly after the start of the second half and then only very very late on a great goal you may have seen from Matos so of Spain deep in stoppage time made that 3-1. You always expect Spain to be technically excellent and contenders in any tournament they're in at any level. Sure enough, that has proved to be the case. >> Lifted forward by Art Gome. It's a searching ball that uh news over the way of uh of a moment that is going to >> make the outcome of that game I think a little more likely. The Canadian goalkeeper Kater has just been sent off game that kicked off at the same time as this one. So I think we can probably forget about any Canadian shocks in that one now. Now they got to play most of the match against a brilliant Spain side a man down. So let's see if Brazil can win anyway here or Ivory Coast. And they'll know almost certainly they'll know by Halime anyway once they're told that any winner here will get second place and meet Colombia. >> It's not all about winning. It's about development. It's about >> getting introduced to an international tournament, foreign soil. >> Frana, there's Daniel Silva. He's let that one slip. Yao is strong. Here he is. FC San Pedro in the Ivor and he was their number nine Ivory Coast at the under 17 AFCON tournament this year and scored in that. They won their group in that competition. Ivory Coast obviously technically speaking one year lower than this but fair few of these players were involved in it. Two wins in a draw in that. Well beaten eventually at the quarterfinal stage by Egypt. And they may well >> face some of those familiar faces on Saturday when this tournament concludes if it works out that they play the Egyptians, which it could. Here's Kulibali. Generally there's a lot of rotation but Hamza Koulibali who was captain in the second game and scored their penalty played all 90 odd minutes of both matches that is highly unusual at this tournament. >> Scored his penalty shootout penalty as well. That's lovely footwork and a chance to spread it here. A great pass as well to find Frana but he was eased out of it. A heavy touch between them and dealt with the potential threat there. Risk taken and it didn't work. And a chance here. Big chance. Totally wasted by Jarasuba. And that's a huge shame for K Diva. Should be one nil. And there's a a whole lot of relieved Brazilians out there. >> Mistake and a problem of their own making there. Gome played 25 minutes in the first game on for a bit in the second. Daniel Silva here likewise came on at that juncture in game one. There's Benny here now. France who has his wing back up with him. Frana darting in field away from Murray Dumbia. Confident run from the young winger. Confident strike too. We'll never know if it was going to trouble Tar cuz one of his defenders in front of him got the block in. Dumbia to Kaduno. Kulibali back to Kaduno. Plays for Wazi FC. Another one of the under 17 AFCON players in this lineup. Nicely done from Murray Dumbia. The left wing back with some skills. Kulib Valley again and a foul on the captain Eduardo Concal. Quite a few attempts against Canada in that first match and scored their opener and they led 1-0 for quite a while. The flurry of goals started after the interval with Canada's scores not helped by a red card. A couple more went in after that as well. So, it was a yes, it was a 6-nil, but they weren't hammering Canada right from the start. It became that rather than >> being like that throughout. and whether to draw this game Ivory Coast because uh nobody wants to finish bottom of the group and let's say Canada did in indeed lose to Spain. They'd both be on two points. And you might think cuz Canada won the penalty shootout that they would edge the head-to-head, but that part of it isn't a factor when it comes to the head-to-head. It's just the inmatch result. Obviously, that was a draw. So, it would then be down to goal scored first and then goal difference. So, a draw for the Ivory Coast here would more than likely be enough for third. >> They've managed to get in front in both games as I mentioned, but been able to hang on to those leads. foot up. Foul throw. Let's go. >> There's Betty. He's gone for that big switch a couple of times now. >> Clearly something a weapon that he has in his locker. That's Otavio Gabrielle who's effectively the right wing back in this team, but he's got quite a good license to go and join in midfield. The Crusero player now. What did that hit? Oh, chance came sharply. >> And we're going to come back for a free kick in a late challenge as the ball came in there in a reasonably dangerous position for the Brazilians here. Keeper's got to watch this carefully. one of those that can deceive them a bit and they have to wait in case there's a glancing touch if it's curled towards that far corner. There's >> some local support for the Brazilians here, isn't there? Always whipped in and whipped over. Gome just beaten to it. Excellent tackle from Abdul Lasis there. Rare touch for Dval, that's for sure. But the biggest scare has still been on his goal. Only thanks to a defensive mixup. But even so, that's a nice layoff. Promise for the Brazilians here. Jakucha coming forward. >> Super tackle. >> Jarasuba with the layoff. >> Yao has runners including Murray Dumbia coming up here. Kulibali outside him. And here is Hamza Koulibali. It's worked its way through. Kulabali again. He and Abdul Dumbia in there. There they are linking again very much there. First choice central midfield there. It's nicely worked until the offside flag brought it to a halt. Well, Not a lot in the way of goal scoring opportunities here. One mistake at one end. Couple of dangerous balls in at this end. But a pretty quiet under 17 debut for Bayern now Tar in the Kot Divoir goal. Franc trying to make something happen there. Mostly it's been in the wide areas and at a bit of a distance. They do have another set piece here. Brazil been able to create anything through the middle, but when you got wing backs, I guess that is the uh the main way of doing things anyway. similar angle to the last but a bit further out. They've got six forward for it here. Brazil >> and Koulali will clatter it clear >> because they've got the power and the pace on the break. K Divo, I'm sure the plan will have been to sit the deeper of the two. They knew they wouldn't have as much of the ball. Ready to pounce and go if they can suck the Brazilians into perhaps attacking a little too much. Well, they haven't fallen for that just yet, but the uh the day is young. Here's Otavio Gabrielle, 17year-old who plays for Frana will keep this in. He's been followed out there by DO Kuno. Some very tidy defending and not a bad ball either for Jarusuba. I mentioned their physicality. They slightly the slight anomaly in that is their center forward. He generally plays from the start and he's the smallest player they have. So the only place they don't have that physicality really is when they want to get it up to the front man. So they can't quite do it that way, which you'd think on a counter would be quite handy. There's potential for one of those counters here. Kulabi to Dumbia onto Diabed himself there, but he's lost out. >> Still scrapping away. And in the end, he's fouled his man, but play will go on. Or will it get brought back? Well, it's a short advantage that brought nothing for the Brazilians there. >> [laughter] >> Zusten. There's the screen in the middle there. Gabrielle >> just in front of the back pair. He's a fluency player >> like his coach was. Dudu came through as a youngster himself at Flamingo then Flummenzi and made a few senior appearances for the latter in the 1990s. Jiao Franca. That was a good take. He wanted it on his left foot, didn't he? >> Clearly, it was a chance to take it and strike on his right, but he tried to chop infield and that was very well defended. Bit of a a bit of wasted potential there, but uh getting his first go at this tournament. Xiao Francer has looked as sparky as anyone in that Brazilian attack. Yao pushes it forward. >> And there is your stent to help clear up. Well, you feel like they're largely comfortable in possession Brazil, but they're not threatening much >> more theor, but still not much. >> It's a comfortable enough take. Those hands have looked safe so far. Hello. Kulibali. Nahore away from the center forward Lucas Emanuel who's best he had a touch so far man missed a second half penalty in that thrashing of Canada to get himself on the score sheet as a Brazilian striker at a tournament. It's >> a necessity isn't it? Come on. >> Awkward bounce there. No just about >> did enough. Helps when you can get a body of That magnitude in the way. Well, we've had nearly a third of the game and it's been very low on chances. Lucas Emanuel running the channel here. Followed all the way. Defensive discipline on top here for sure. Neither side yet committing serious bodies forward to try and threaten. And you can understand that. I'm sure they will at some point. Goal would change the feeling. Certainly. Well, one back. Cout and co over on that flank double teaming. >> They're deep here. Ivory Coast, but you would say it's working so far. Absolutely blunting the Brazilian attack. Gabrielle Justine hands off to Daniel Silva here. It's all at this range really to Lucas Emanuel. And that's going to be a free kick. Gabrielle, the latest Brazilian to be frustrated by an orange wall here in the opening third. Just to remind anyone coming a little late. These are the closing games in group B. This one here in the Spanish against the Canadians in the other one. This second versus fourth at the start of the day. >> Any winner more than likely will come second and play Colombia. on Saturday. >> These two will play either Colombia, Egypt or Korea Republic depending on what happens in this game and the other one that's ongoing. Group A is finished. Group B is an hour from completion. >> Might need another penalty shootout if it stays as KG and chance as this. Very little for the goalkeepers to do. Pressure on Jarasuba >> hoping to force T Benny into a mistake. Didn't make one though. Nicely done. Very calm. Such a great ball. Look how fast Ivory Coast got back in and in good number there to block off the avenues. could do with the goal. I think this one fair to say No, I'm not sure. Ramos Benny seeing plenty of it here. It seems to be the one they go to when there are to be passes played from the back. Obviously, he's gone short and square there, but he's the one at the back that seems to have the long range passing. That's nicely worked into the run of Ramos coming to join him with the attack. The left back behind Consisio Gabrielle here opting for caution first. Jaruba with the closing down onto Dval. There been one wobbly moment back there for Brazil as we enter the final 10 minutes of a quiet first half. Xiao Franca here somehow wriggled away from Kinongo. He's done well. Maybe worth a shot here. It was worth a shot. It was blocked and it's been cleared by Leona. Come on. Come on. It's just not happening for either attack here. >> [laughter] >> Ivory Coast doing their defensive duties, filling in so quickly there's nowhere to go. It's either going to take, as I say, a very accurate long pass to catch them out before they've regrouped or perhaps an error. We shall see. Mory Dumbia wriggling away. Junior and Dre who's barely had a touch. That was his through ball and Yao will try his best to get on the end of that. Very nearly did. Ramos has defended it pretty well in fairness to him. He had to cover there and for a moment was second favorite. Here's Kuno Nore back to T. Now there's potential because it's four on three. Just needs a good pass. Big moment at the end of the half. Murray Dumbia. It's only a corner in a game of few chances. That might be as good as it gets for K Divoir. >> You'd imagine it'll open up after the break a little. And that's a big opportunity. They had a man or two over there. First save of any real note that for Artur Dval. He'll be pleased to have some action having watched from the sidelines in the opening two games. It's an Ivorian head first somehow getting in between the two defenders there. Kurabali, excuse me, Tiara Sububa. It was fairly nicely taken opening goal against the Spanish for Sebasta. He's a a technical prospect for sure. I mentioned his lack of physicality that's not in keeping with this squad, but he's a technically brilliant player and he's at Villa Royale in Spain. Well, that's a great hit from Gome and the danger's not over yet. >> Certainly one or two opportunities late in this first half in Neil. Gome with the pass through for the under overlapping Otavio Gabrielle. Now Bra
