Yes, back at the Legends of Football Awards. Delighted to say I'm joined by Jamie Carrager. Jamie Sierri, one of the winners tonight. Someone you work with a lot. Someone you would have played against. Just tell me about the man and maybe just maybe your worst or best memory maybe I have to say playing against him. Oh, a lot of bad memories. He was a fantastic player I think. The best player we've ever seen. Grace are fantastic Premier League. One of the greatest teams as well and Arsenal the Invincibles as well. So, uh, yeah, lot of memories on the pitch. Not always great ones really, but now work with them uh doing the TV as well. Great football brain. You see that as well on Sky Monday Night Football. We do four or five shows a season and I don't think there's anybody better. >> Yeah. What is it like in terms of that football brain? Because we've seen him obviously analyze the game. We we know how much of sort of a football geek he is really and we know about his upbringing and playing you know for Wenger all all the Pep Guardiola as well. How deep is that kind of football knowledge? How much does he care about the game? He he he when you think of people who who do the job we do pundit I don't think anybody out there is across the world game as much as Thierry I mean most of us obviously we cover the Premier League and Champions League but he knows everything that's going on in the world game every country different leagues the women's game is his his attention to detail for a pund I think is is second turn on he's he's fantastic and that what makes him the great pund he is but we're here to celebrate him as a footballer and as I said when he was in the Premier League it was none better. >> Was he the hardest opponent you you came up against as just a sort of a battle in terms of a striker against the center half. Was there anyone who gave you as tough of an afternoon or an evening as as Thierry Henry? >> No. And it wasn't a problem playing as a center back against Terry Henry. The problem was being a right back. You know that famous left side for Arsenal. But no, I think myself alongside many others defenders in the Premier League would always I think point to Terry Honry being the best. I mean, we've had some wonderful players in the Premier League from all different clubs, different nationalities, but as I said, non top tier. >> J, I know you've talked about this story, this Man City story that's been going on. I know you've covered it for Sky Sports News as well. Obviously, we've got the game on the weekend coming up against Liverpool. Of course, it had to be. What kind of reception, I guess, do you expect from from Anfield and yeah, what are your thoughts, I guess, just on the ongoing situation going into that that massive game? But now that Premier League football is actually going to return, we're going to see City players back on the pitch. Well, they'll get a very hot reception, but that's always the same when Man City come to to Anfield because Liverpool and Man City have been the two teams going for the titles or or the big trophies over the last decade or so. They've got a really poor record in Anfield really for such a a great team as they were in the past and that's because the atmosphere has always been redot. They found it difficult at times and I don't think this will be no different. There'll be an extra spice to it. All eyes will be be watching this game and it should be an absolute cracker for us on Sky >> because what we've talked about a lot I guess is the lawyers the people upstairs people in the boardrooms who who've been part of this decision-m but actually now we finally get to see the players as a a Man City player I guess how do you think they'll be feeling going into this because really this has got the charges have got nothing to do with them but they're almost now the representatives of of the club going in to the rest of the season. Yeah, I mean we look at players and trophies maybe in the past, but a lot of these players are new to the club and probably think we've done nothing wrong. Uh but, you know, they're the one who going to have to fight the, you know, the battle for the club on the pitch. There's a lot going on off the pitch. But, uh, Man City were fantastic against Manchester United. They were down to 10 men in that game, come back. So, I don't think wherever they go this season, it can be more difficult than that really. And they'll have to, you know, use that as some sort of motivation. But I think be really difficult for City this season now in terms of going on to achieve anything. Of course, there might be sanctions as the season goes on. But I think every away ground that they go to now will be the best atmosphere in that stadium maybe that season. Everyone's baying for blood unfortunately for Manchester City right now or for their players and manager right now. So I think it's going to be very difficult for them to achieve anything. >> Just finally Jamie, I know like I said you have covered this. So I can't remember if we've asked you necessarily on the type of sanction you expect Man City to get or just I mean how quickly the Premier League need to kind of make a decision I guess before the end of the season would be ideal but we know how long the initial process has taken. Do you have any views on what you see potentially happening as a punishment or like I said the kind of speed that the Premier League need to kind of get this done now? >> Well now that we know that they're guilty. Yes, there's an appeal but now that we you know they got a big guilty verdict initially now I don't think anybody wants to wait. You know, it has to be done this season because Man City need to be affected for next season really. And and in some ways it will make almost I know the word at the moment is sham. It almost make the Premier League of this season the title to be a sham if Man City went on to to win that league with what we know is gone on. So it has to be done this season. And I think the punishment, excuse me, whatever it should be, I don't think it can be a one-off punishment for one season because of, you know, this has gone on for years and years. So I think the punishment should go on for years and
