Alex is okay. >> Okay, we stick with Alex. >> Yes. >> You're going to give me a five-star rating at the end of this, yeah? >> [laughter] >> Well, it depends how you drive. I know that you drive on the on the left side, but >> Oh, yeah. So, we have a lot of questions all from the local fans in Australia today. >> Okay. >> If you have a look in the glove box, you'll find some questions. I would love to ask them, but I have to focus. I have important passengers today. >> Okay, [laughter] so I'm going to read the question. You're going to do the answer. Who did you have dinner with that made you think, "Wow, I'm actually having dinner with them?" >> Ooh. It's a good question, eh? >> It's a good question, yeah. >> And you must have had a lot of dinners with a lot of cool people. >> I did. I did. Of course, in the football world, but also in other sports. >> So, how about with you? >> to to to watch other sports a lot. >> Really? >> Yes. >> What's your what's your favorite other sport? >> Well, as a footballer, you know, we are very connect with two sports, tennis and basketball. >> Yeah. >> So, that's definitely two of my favorite sports. The other one is um rugby. >> Rugby? >> have a We are in a rugby also in a rugby state, you know? >> Yeah. >> That's uh but uh I'm scared to say it because the Australia fans are going to >> [laughter] >> because I'm a All Blacks fan, so. And talking about dinner, I had the opportunity when I was young to meet the All Blacks. In dinner in Torino. Yes. It was cool. I mean, I was watching them and it was cool. I like the tradition. I like the rugby world in general because because of the physicality, because of the of the toughness. >> Yeah. >> But also, you need to be, you know, focused. You need to be respectful. You need to be >> The respect is a a big thing in rugby, yeah. >> Yeah, yes. Who is the people that uh answer this question. The The coolest people that you went to dinner with. >> You know, uh I'm sure we had a dinner together, so I'm going to say you. >> [laughter] >> Okay. What's your most useless talent? >> These are the questions of life right here. >> [laughter] >> Useless. Okay. First of all, I don't think that any talent is useless. >> Otherwise, why would it be a talent? >> Yes, but it's also a mental thing. Because even if it's useless, and there is some uses, to be honest, it's something special special that you can do. So, make you feel special. >> Yeah. >> It's something that you say, "Wow." The first time that I start whistle >> Yeah. >> with with your like this or with your hands on my my mouth. I was so proud. >> I can't do that, so >> Yeah, it's not a talent, but I was happy when I was 7 years old. I was I don't know how old I was. >> Hey, but it's important in football. Get people's attention. >> You can't whistle during the field, I mean. >> Yeah. It's so loud and >> It's a it's a referee allowed to whistle. It doesn't make any sense. But it's cool. Back in the days, cool. >> Okay, we like that's not a bad answer. Now, we can move on to the next one. >> Let's move. Yes. It's not a talent, but >> Hey, I got >> that you can do it, it's >> It's a talent to me. >> special [laughter] already, you know? Who is the funniest non-footballing celebrity you ever met? >> You've definitely met some comedians, right? Surely. >> Yes, I met some comedian. >> You can say me, it's fine. That's a good answer as well, like >> [laughter] >> Let me do it again. Who is the funniest non-footballing celebrity you ever met? >> I mean, you, of course, my friend. I mean, come on. >> [laughter] >> This is easy question, this one. >> Okay, let's move on to the next one. What's the Australian animal that scare you the most? >> Oh gosh. >> All of them? >> [laughter] >> I'm going to say spiders. >> Spiders? >> Yes, because I'm not going to jump in the water that far to meet sharks. >> Yeah. >> I'm sorry. I'm not going to close to crocodiles. Snakes, well, even snakes. Okay, snakes, yeah, even yeah, scary, yes. >> Snakes, yeah. were living here, did you have any encounters with any of the Australian wildlife? >> Of course. >> Oh, really? >> Yes. I mean, straight away I took my kids to the to the zoo because there's some animals that, you know, you can't find in in Europe. >> Yeah. >> One One day we went to training and we found a a brown snake that is particularly dangerous and big. >> That That's what scared me the most. I say, "Why Why Well, why is dead?" >> Yeah. >> Who killed him? >> Yeah, what did >> That's you know, we we training in the morning very early morning usually, so we went to the field and outside just outside the pitch there was this big snake dead. I say, "It Why is dead?" >> killed >> [laughter] >> If I'm scared of a snake, whatever's done that to the snake is even scarier. >> Exactly. So, that's I was checking around who the hell killed this snake. >> Yeah, that's crazy. >> very big. But even spider, you know, in Australia everything is big. You need to understand I mean, maybe you know, everything is big. Snake are big. Uh spider are big like this. >> Yeah. >> Like a hand. Bat. >> Bat? >> Bat Bats are are eagles. I mean, are huge. You know, it's uh cockroaches are big as well. Everything is big in this country. That's incredible. >> Okay, so we we got an answer then. >> Do you have any scares animals? >> Um scared of everything. We'll go with that. >> Yeah? >> The I think the sharks. Cuz I swam with one and one had a little nibble on my arm. And since then like >> Where? >> In the Maldives. Well, when I was with Juventus. >> Okay. >> We did a >> But you know, those sharks didn't bite, you know. >> Yeah, they just had a little but it scared me, you know, the thought of it. >> Yeah, that's true. Yeah. What's the last thing you bought and regretted? >> Oof. >> [laughter] >> Yours is letting me drive. I have one from yesterday. The team they gave me fast food. Usually I don't eat fast food. I was so hungry and they they just got it for me and said, "Ah, here." But usually I don't eat the eat the fast food. >> So you are fit alien then. >> Ah, it's not big in the Italy to >> Fast food? I mean it's big but in our culture is slow food. So it's completely the opposite, you know. >> But food in Italy is very is a big thing. >> It's a it's >> No pineapple on pizza? >> Mhm, no. Come on, right? No, it's >> I love Is it bad? I love pineapple on pizza. >> of the car now. >> [laughter] >> But pineapple I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> I love pineapple but not on the pizza. I mean it's crazy. >> Can you tell me why? Why why is this such a big thing in Italy? >> Because I live in in LA >> Yeah. >> and and I went to a Hawaii that's supposed to where this pizza, you know, they call it even a Hawaiian >> Hawaiian pizza, yeah. >> And I say, "Okay, let me have let me check." I mean at least >> Yeah, let me find out. >> I don't know the flavor between the pizza dough and the tomato and and the pineapple together wasn't that great to be honest. >> Okay. >> We made thousand of pizza. I mean the creativity of Italian pizzaioli is amazing. And we put everything on the pizza that Okay, pineapple is still a >> So tell me this, what's your favorite Italian food? If I go to Italy, what do I have to test? >> Oh, definitely need to eat pasta. >> Of co- Of course. And a And very important question, do you cook yourself? >> Yes, I do. >> So, you're a bit of a chef? >> Well, a chef Chef is a big word. Let's do not exaggerate. But yeah, I cook myself. Yes. >> you cooked on the field and now you cook off the field. >> [laughter] >> Yes. Yes. >> Okay, nice. And do you have a favorite dish to make? >> Well, definitely pasta is the best things that It's thing also for footballer is a very important close to the game, give you energy. >> to have the healthy >> also and the and the quality of the pasta that we have in Italy it's it's much better than the around the world. >> When you go shopping, >> Yeah. >> do you go prepared with a list or do you just go, "I'm going to go in and I'm going to buy whatever I see and figure out as I go"? >> Depends which shopping are we talking about. If I go to supermarket, I need to have a list. >> Oh, you're So, you're prepared. You're >> Yeah, I have a list. I don't want to waste time, but I'm always end up with the wing it something. >> Cuz you go to the >> something that gets out of a list of 10 items and then you come at home with 15 at least. >> Okay, yeah. >> Because when you you go there for clothes or anything like this, usually go if I have some specific things to do, yes. But so I have something in mind, but on the other side, I I like to to check and to see what is offer me the market. Let's say like this, you know? Something that attract me, bang, I'll do it. >> I like it. So, you've got your You're You're prepared, man. But you're also ready for the chaos. >> Yeah. Yeah, no. Always ready to the chaos. Yes, always always. >> And you played like you traveled all over the world. You went to a lot of different places, a lot of different countries. >> Yeah. >> Outside of Italy, you can't say Italy, what was the nicest place you went to? >> I'm biased but I had a great time here. I lived 8 years in Los Angeles on the west coast in the US. >> I I lived in Los Angeles as well. It's a nice place, yeah. >> nice place, yeah. >> It's cool. >> I live in Spain in Madrid. Beautiful as well. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> A bit more similar to Italy. >> It's very similar, yes. They have a great culture of food as well and the people are nice. Yeah. >> So, we have some more questions, I think. >> Yeah. >> In the glove box. You're the interviewer and the answerer. I'm just the driver. >> I'm doing all the job. >> Hey, you know what? If I say if I said this to my dad, he he would not be happy. He doesn't like me saying boomer. [clears throat] >> What's the most boomer things you do? Okay, let's do it let's do a very boomer thing now. >> [laughter] >> Let's take a selfie horizontal. >> Yeah, there we go. There we go. That's a very boomer thing. >> Oh my gosh. >> [laughter] >> Here we go. You know what? That might be the best answer we've had today. Hey, and your kids uh Tobias? >> Yeah, Tobias. >> him on my Instagram all the time like he like watching my stories and stuff. Does he laugh at you as well for like these boomer things? >> Yeah, sometimes they told me even my daughter and my other kid, you know. They look at me doing some things and say, "Dad, >> [laughter] >> I I reading their mind that that that is after all that is you really a boomer >> [laughter] >> how does it feel to go from like one of the coolest people in the world one of still one of the coolest people in the world but I mean you're the coolest player you know you got the the aura you got everything and now your kids are like oh dad you're you're a boomer. >> [laughter] >> Well I understand that the new generation are really different I mean in the last 10 20 years the world change a lot communication change a lot social media make a huge change in everything so it's a it's a big thing for us for our generation that we grew up without without the phone for example it's it's a new world definitely so I understand that for them it sounds weird what sometimes I'm doing. Yeah. Because when I was a young I felt the same a little bit with the adults. >> Yeah yeah yeah. So it's the circle of life you know. >> Yeah when I was 10 20 12 years old and I see a 35 40 years old guy I say it's it's all that guy. >> Yeah. >> Now I'm 50 and I say somebody tell me that I'm old I'm >> [laughter] >> going to be stuff. >> So okay wait this is another thing I needed to ask you about I was listening to your interview in front of the the fans at the meet and greet and you were talking about PlayStation like Mario got like all these games yeah yeah yeah so you still play a little bit or is this like in the past? >> I try to play Fifa now it's FC right? >> Yeah. >> But my kids are too strong. >> Oh no. >> I'm not able to even get closer to play with the console as well. >> Yeah I don't know how to play. And footballers by nature are very competitive people right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. there's no friendly game. >> Yeah. >> Even though it's a preseason or whatever it is, it's always some kind of competition thing. Or sometimes I'm doing some charity games. And we all start, you know, with a big smile and you know, let's all enjoy the time together. Let's play for the fans. You know, let's score some goals both of us. And then when you are there, of course you don't want to No, you don't want to lose. >> But but you you see it as well. I've I've seen it sometimes in these like fun games with legends. Just sometimes there'll be a strong tackle and then the other player will get them back with a strong tackle and it's like, "Oh, this just They're going back like 30 years. Now this is getting serious again." >> Yes. Yes. That's so funny. >> It happened. It happened every game. I mean >> Well, with that competitiveness, I heard you're a bit of a bit of a paddle player. And that's uh that's a new passion. >> I'm learning. I'm learning. >> But you're quite competitive at that as well. >> Yes. Yes, of course. It's fun. It's a It's a fun game. It's definitely fun game. For us is uh I don't want to say easy to learn. >> Yeah. >> But the fact that we have the the glass behind, it's almost what happened during the game. Sometimes the ball goes over, so you need to turn quickly and reposition it yourself in the best position. So as as long as you start to understand how things to work, you are able to easy to play decent with your friends. >> Yeah. >> I'm not talking about, you know, >> Like a pro level or anything. But like it's >> This is another word for sure. But that's is the the part that's why footballer and that are very able to learn paddle quicker. >> Yeah. Yeah. And the most important thing, the the talking. >> [laughter] >> Talking is is definitely the most important thing. Yes. >> Actually, sorry. A question on that. On the field, were you a talker? Be honest. >> No. >> You would You would just nice. You're like, I'm going to do the talking with my feet. >> What could I do? I mean, I'm not tall. I'm not big. I wasn't tall. I wasn't big. So, I'm always meeting people that that taller and bigger than me and but I'm not the one that start I'm not the one that start the argument, okay? >> Yeah, yeah. >> But yes, I'm the one that finish the argument, for sure. >> Yeah, with the goals. >> Yeah. >> [laughter] >> I most of the time, I mean, that's is the best answer. But if I have to reply with words, yes. >> Yeah. >> Back in the days, football was even diff- different than now. >> Yeah, yeah. >> We couldn't say so much things. >> Yeah. >> Inside Still inside the for some ages, okay? You are not not too far, but we we had a toughest communication, toughest toughest tackles. >> Yeah, yeah. >> That's was was different, I mean. You really pray to feel safe at at the end of the game. >> That's crazy. >> Uh because some tackles were I mean, your country is like Yeah, we are known for it. >> [laughter] >> Hey, if you go and play in England on a Sunday, it's just the same. >> Yeah. >> It It never changed. >> Never changed. >> Yeah. There's no VAR in there, huh? In Sunday league, do they have referees? Yeah, right? >> But referees, you know, like >> league? >> Yeah, like you'll see a guy, big two-foot challenge, like red card straight away in Sunday league I didn't even touch him carry on. >> [laughter] >> And then imagine this it's like this and you're playing in weather like we have right now cold rainy it's >> So you're already pissed off because of the weather and then on the field you're even more. >> Yeah. >> That's the passion by the way. >> That's England. >> Okay next What's the song you sing when you are alone? Sing it now. >> You didn't even have to read the last part out but >> I'm asking you what's >> asking me oh you're asking me alone. >> Sing it now. >> You babe. >> Okay next one. >> Like if I'm doing a karaoke >> Yeah. >> I have one song. Do you have a karaoke song yet? >> No. I'm not a good singer. >> No but like the idea of karaoke >> Subject what is the song? >> Hey now you're a rockstar get your game on go play hey now you're a rockstar get the show on get paid. You know this song? All that glitters is gold only shooting stars break the mold but the thing is when you do karaoke you're not meant to be a good singer you're meant to be a bad singer. >> Yeah I know. >> [laughter] >> Thanks God we are not a karaoke. >> So you don't have a karaoke song? But wait okay when you join a new team you have to do an initiation song no? >> I spent 19 year with the same team that's why I didn't change. >> But when you came >> I don't want to sing a song [laughter] with the new team. >> You didn't you didn't go anywhere just because you don't want to sing a new song. >> [laughter] >> I did actually when I came to Australia. >> What was your song? >> What was my song? I picked an Italian song For sure I pick an Italian song. What's easier and less embarrassing. >> That's great. All right, we can go on to the next question. I'm going to take your word for it. We'll tell the people at home you're an amazing singer. And you know all the songs. >> Yeah. And in the in the next episode >> Yeah. >> we're going to show my singer quality capacity. >> I love it. In the next episode you're driving. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. Okay, brother. Okay, what's your most annoying habit? >> Annoying for me or for the people? >> Maybe both. >> Maybe both. I don't know actually. I'm I'm annoying person. I don't think so. >> I mean from the time I spent with you you seem pretty chill. >> Well, I'm a Scorpio so I'm laughing with everybody. >> Yeah. >> But >> I I didn't set the cameras up. That was not >> [laughter] >> Anyway. >> Ah, we have this one. It's fine. You can >> Let's do this. >> You're doing a vlog now, yeah? >> Yes. Welcome to my channel, guys. >> [laughter] >> We're here today with Ben. Ben is driving. >> [laughter] >> Hey, what what do you think about this? Well, serious question. What what do you think about YouTubers and like the vlogging and the social media, and the games and stuff like this? It's it's different, right? >> Yeah, it's it's different. And I got that because I have kids, I got that there's a lot of work behind. >> Yeah. >> Oh, the the job that you [snorts] are doing and you guys and girls are doing. It's it's very demanding to do a right nice product. It's very difficult. I understand that you social media can be a huge advantage and also a tough things to digest for the young people. >> Yeah. So, the most important question you know, you're holding the camera now. You're going to become a vlogger? >> A vlogger? Okay. That's What is the difference of vlogger and YouTuber? Let's say this. For us as a boomers, let's talk about that. >> Same same same. Same thing. Same. Yeah, it's like they're the same. Vlogger and YouTuber, you make videos, content creator everything. Legend. Il Capitano. [laughter] >> Thank you for make me understand the difference between vlogger and YouTuber. >> Ah, it's just my part. >> No, it was it was fun. It was fun. >> Five-star, yeah, don't
