Liverpool Want TWO Attackers, Man City Eye £200m Double Deal
Liverpool are pushing to strengthen their attack before the transfer deadline, with Bradley Barcola talks ongoing and several alternatives under consideration. Manchester United also remain confident of signing Carlos Baleba after continuing negotiations with Brighton. Elsewhere, Manchester City are weighing up major midfield moves, including Enzo Fernandez, while Tottenham continue talks over further additions. Aston Villa are also set for a busy end to the window, with Nicolas Jackson a target and Al-Hilal pushing to sign Ollie Watkins. Hello and welcome along to my latest GMS newsletter. Ben Jacobs with you. We got loads to get through here on YouTube. Sign up and get all the information in your inbox as well. Quick Manchester United update. Confidence on Carlos Baleba. No real rush. One because Brighton had a game yesterday on Thursday and two because BB is still out for a couple of weeks. So it's not like Manchester United need to force this one through for the opening game in the Premier League season. But the point is the 60 plus 5 offer was not that far off Brighton's valuation and talks are ongoing. It could move very quickly, but as I say, no urgency. Manchester United expect to sign Carlos Baleba between now and the end of the window, even though they know that Brighton are always tough negotiators. Staying in midfield, Manchester City will be looking for two midfielders between now and the end of the window. One is Enzo Fernandez despite Chelsea's deadline for 120 million pounds to be bid passing. And then in addition there's several other options. I bui one possibility advanced talks have been ongoing there for quite some time. Feeling as if City want to close that they can. They'll have to assess whether or not they want to essentially spend best part of 200 million on two new midfielders or if they go all in on Enzo Fernandez and then decide if Buadi is a deal for now. There is a possibility too that Buaddi could be pre-aggreed for 2027 even though all cities talks to date have been framed around signing the Moroccan this window. Manukone another possibility. Adam Walton as I revealed two weeks ago an option for Manchester City and yet when they made an inquiry they were told the player is not for sale and Alexis Mallister Manchester City like him but the expectation is that he stays at Liverpool. Meanwhile, Omar Marmush very very close at the time of recording to joining Tottenham Hotspur and it follows Cevin of course an 85 million pound deal. Club record sale for Manchester City 75 million 10 million in add-ons and City's perspective is 5 million of those add-ons are relatively easily achieved. Marmushu arrived for 59 million is expected to go for relatively similar money. That's certainly Tottenham's perspective. They want to try and close Cinho plus Marmush for in and around 130 to 140 million pounds with Cinho including add-ons being 85. Manchester City starting point is to bring in about 150 million and they're not that far apart on Marmush. So I would expect the Egyptian to be a Tottenham player between now and the end of the window. Now if Liverpool had two attackers, Cody Gapo could also potentially join Spurs. Can't really progress the negotiation until Liverpool sort out their incomings. Bradley Barka talks are ongoing as Liverpool hope the waiting game pays off in some respects and the price for Barcela drops now that PSG have added Ferin Torres Magnus Aklush and also Mika Girtz and in addition there's other targets and it's kind of bark plus one so Yanub into one option as I exclusively revealed in June 50 million bid rejected my expectation is 60 million might be tough for Brighton to turn down they have looked in the past at Sed Al Mara as well who only yesterday signed a new deal. So he's going nowhere as things currently stand. It's true as I reported two weeks ago that Endrich and Liverpool was one to watch before his future at Real Madrid was clarified. But the challenge is when Liverpool made an inquiry on Enrich, they were told there were two options. Either alone with no option to buy or staying at Real Madrid. And now Enrich is the new Real Madrid number nine and Real don't really have an appetite to sell. So it doesn't look like that one is going to move bar any surprises. And yet Liverpool like Hendrick, but they would want permanence to the move. Matteas Fernandez Pardau, another player that has been on Liverpool's list. So it's Barka plus one if they possibly can. If they don't get Barcela then we need to keep an eye on a combination of various names, some of which I've mentioned and Ibrahim and Bay has been on Liverpool's radar as well. The price is a bit prohibitive there. As things stand, the player would be open to a move if a club to club agreement was put in place. So, Liverpool are obviously going to be busy between now and the end of the window. Curtis Jones has already gone to enter as well. So, lots happening as far as Liverpool are concerned. Aston Villa are going to be busy right until the final minutes of the window as well. And they're viewed, according to my information, as the front runners for Nicholas Jackson. Chelsea are prioritizing a sale, not a loan. 65 million pound asking price. Villa not one of the clubs that can loan because they've already got Alejandro Garnacho on loan but Atletico Madrid held talks in the last 24 to 48 hours over a loan formula and they didn't make a breakthrough and Chelsea are expecting a bid from Aston Villa and that will become even more likely if Ollie Watkins goes off to Alhilal situation with Watkins and Alhilal. Watkins wants the move. He's told Villa that directly. Four bids have come in in the last few weeks too verbal and too formal. The last one was about4 million pounds and although Aston Villa haven't counted with a specific number, the feeling is Alhilal are going to improve even further and there'll come a point in time maybe where with Watkins wanting to go and if a replacement is sourced, Villa's stance may soften even though they've been trying to get Ollie Watkins to sign a new deal. Watkins sees appeal in the project. It is backed by Simon Francis, ex Bournemouth technical director and Richard Hughes will be joining potentially as early as when this window shuts but certainly on the conclusion of his contract at Liverpool in 2027. But many believe Richard Hughes is straight off to Alhilal as we get to the end of this window even though he's fully focused on Liverpool for now. So there's a lot of ambition. It has a new private investor Prince Alwali who used to be the minority owner of the football club. So no longer controlled and run by PIF and Al-Hilala arguably having spent a lot of time in the Middle East, one of if not the biggest clubs in Asia and Watkins sees appeal in all of that coupled with the fact that at his age the money on offer is naturally relatively life-changing and he doesn't want to turn that down. So Alhilal are confident on Ollle Watkins and hoping to close that deal sooner rather than later. Villa have already got Aaron Wambasaka through the door. He's joined from West Ham United on a seasonlong loan with a conditional obligation to buy. And West Ham have also confirmed today that Divine Macassa has joined on a loan from Manchester City. The highly rated 18-year-old attacker spent the second half of last season on loan with Leicester. Well, that's it from me. I need to stop here because I'm losing my voice in the back end of this window as you can probably tell, but I'll soldier on as we will across the GMS network as well. Market Madness every single week during the window and this newsletter twice a week as well on a Monday and a Friday until the window shuts. Thanks so much for watching here on YouTube.
