Hello and welcome along to the latest of my GMS newsletters. Ben Jacobs with you for all your latest transfer news. Sign up and get all of this information straight in your inbox. We begin with Bournemouth and Michele Di Gregorio is formalizing his move to the cherries. It's a loan from Juventus. My understanding is that there's an option to buy for 12.5 million pounds plus a further 2.5 million in add-ons and Juventus will also receive 1 million pounds if Di Gregorio doesn't join permanently. On to Mykhailo Mudryk, a really interesting story between now and the end of the window. Chelsea are prepared to sanction a loan, but there's been no breakthrough with Leeds United over the weekend and that's led Chelsea to start looking at some other options. Strasbourg, Chelsea's sister club, is one of them. Brentford had made an inquiry earlier in the winter and yet the player wants a Premier League move. Key to Chelsea deciding here is not just the financials, but how many minutes Mudryk might get and the challenge obviously within the Premier League is that it's very competitive. So, let's see whether it's Strasbourg or Mudryk gets his move to the Premier League, but Leeds United would have to revive that deal now even later between now and deadline day if things are to progress because Chelsea do not, as of now anyway, recording this on a Monday morning, view Leeds as a viable option. Dario O'Shaughnessy another interesting story. He could go to Strasbourg, too, but that's the challenge for Chelsea. They've only got one more loan spot left at Strasbourg. So, if it's Mudryk, it won't be O'Shaughnessy or the other way around and Hull City also like the Portuguese midfielder as well. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi's future is one to watch as well. Chelsea sources had said earlier that he was untouchable and that was because there was firm interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Now, late in the window, it will be intriguing to see whether Xabi Alonso wants to keep the player or if Chelsea are prepared to sanction a loan, there is still not expected to be any permanence as far as an Akpom exit is concerned, but the player is open to options even though Chelsea still value him both now and in the long term. Enzo Fernandez is his future remains one to watch. Manchester City have got an agreement in principle for Ayub Buaddi for 95 million euros plus 5 million in add-ons and they want another midfielder as well and Enzo Fernandez is the lead target. All depends on Chelsea. One, are they prepared to do business this late in the window? And is it going to be more than 120 million pounds because that deadline to offer 120 million pounds has passed? Or alternatively, could Chelsea become open to a different kind of structure? And in addition, Chelsea would need a replacement as well. Yes, they appreciate Adam Wharton, but Crystal Palace don't want to sell. They told Manchester City that only a few days ago and Chelsea had bid as I exclusively revealed 64 million pounds for Alex Scott as well. He's another target that Chelsea really like and yet Bournemouth don't want to sell this late in the window. I'm told Scott would be open to the move, but he's been ever the professional and is not agitating or pushing and I wouldn't rule out if the window shuts a new deal for Alex Scott because he could sign something in the short term, get improved money between now and 2027 and still have a release clause as part of his new deal whether for next summer or potentially if like Antoine Semenyo for January as well. But Chelsea are going to be busy with outgoings between now and the end of the window and if Enzo Fernandez departs, they will want to bring in another midfielder as well. Speaking of Manchester City and midfielders, advanced talks for Nico Gonzalez to move to Newcastle. Again, recording this on a Monday morning. At the time of recording, my understanding is an agreement in principle is essentially in place between the clubs and Gonzalez is now deciding whether or not he wants that move and he still has to agree terms, but Newcastle United are confident and that's another outgoing that could help Manchester City fund their pursuit of Enzo Fernandez. On to Arsenal, even if there's a 1% chance that Julian Alvarez is available, and I've said this many times, Arsenal are prepared to move and Atletico Madrid, if they're to sell and despite their public stance, would rather do so outside of La Liga rather than to Barcelona. And yet, Alvarez needs to be convinced on moving to Arsenal as opposed to waiting if he doesn't get Barcelona now and then potentially having that move in 1 year's time. For Alvarez, it's a case of a very difficult and tense situation with Athleti. I'm sure they wish the window was already shut. Let's see if the door becomes open to Arsenal because talks are still ongoing and Arsenal held meetings last week as well. Alvarez, a dream target all summer and they are prepared to move for Arsenal if he gives them the green light. And my feeling here is despite what Atletico Madrid have said in public, if Julian Alvarez says yes to Arsenal, then Arsenal will move and get the player. So, it all depends now on Alvarez. Gabriel Martinelli, left out of the squad for Coventry City. Arsenal want to sell and it's now Al Hilal. Earlier in the window, Galatasaray had an offer rejected for 45 million euros. Now, Al Hilal are pushing. They want Gabriel Martinelli and Ollie Watkins. With Martinelli, there's an offer in already. 55 million euros plus add-ons. Arsenal want over 60 million euros and some sources say even closer to 70 million euros, but talks are ongoing and Al Hilal are confident that they can agree a deal with Arsenal and also that Martinelli is now open to Saudi Arabia even though he said no to Al Nassr 12 months ago. So, Arsenal, like Chelsea, going to be busy with outgoings and putting heavy emphasis on still trying to strengthen on that left-hand side. They do also like Cannon Juventus, but Juve sources have told me that they do not wish to sell in the final days of the window, and Elif Elmas could still be one to watch, but I sense Arsenal want to go all in on Julian Alvarez if, and it is an if, they are given some encouragement from the player side. So, lots going on in the market outside of England and the big five leagues. Fabinho has joined Trabzonspor, and the 32-year-old is formalizing that move today, agreed in principle for him to join on a free transfer from Al-Ittihad. And Ethan Wheatley is going to go to Lincoln City on a loan from Manchester United. So, that's the latest from my JMS newsletter.
