FourFourTwo Transfer Deadline Day Livestream
🏃 Hello! As mentioned, I'm doing the Great North Run in September to raise money for Mind. They provide vital mental health services in the UK, and I can personally attest to him important that can be for people. A small amount goes way further than you might think, so any donations are enormously appreciated. and it's live do we get to do the whole like oh is it on is it on bit the awkward thing everyone does at the start of every live stream is it on yeah it is oh it is hello hello everyone no hello welcome to our transfer deadline Day Live stream the two Adams United in London talking about every Premier League club whether there'll be incomings outgoings that kind of thing what's already been done the business today um and yeah just general waffle it's going to be for 10 hours so we got a lot to get through and there's going to be lots of bombers as well most importantly we're here for the bombers the onstein bombers yeah we got we've got a direct line to onstein here that's totally real uh you've got Romano on your phone absolutely anything that happens which God I hope it's something uh we'll be dealing with it discussing it we've got and can we cut by the way magically to the subio table uh we'll be over there at some point uh looking at all the fun tactical side of it we''ve actually gone professional here yeah got a full setup um and what was the other thing I needed to plug loads loads of things um what it's for mind yes talk about that yeah yeah yeah yeah so um we had two options here either do an incredibly professional like rival to Sky Sports News live stream but we thought that was a terrible idea because it's just us two in a box room uh in Paddington or do something a bit more fun and we thought the fun thing to do would be to try and raise a bit of money for a good cause uh anyone who's watching the channel at all over the last couple of weeks uh will have seen me banging on uh about uh the great North Rome which I'm doing for mind in like 10 days or something which that's fine that's not going to be a problem at all but we're doing it for uh mind who are in mental health charity uh in the UK if you live in the UK you will know that access to stuff like that through stuff like the NHS gets harder and harder every single year especially since sort of covid and not to be political but over the previous few Administration massive priority Charities like mine they have to do a lot of the heavy lifting they've to pick up a lot of the slack there and they just they're a great cause so wanted to raise a bit of money for them so far we're at like nearly three grand for the run which is really good but if you are enjoying the live stream and you feel compelled in any way to donate any amount of money because all all goes uh really really far uh the link is in the description we'll occasionally flash a QR code up on screen we're not going to ram a down your Thro but we will mention it every now and then cuz that is uh why we're here yes donations can be made in the link below if you are a super chat type person one of those people that likes to throw money into the YouTube mechanism just just use the link just use the link because we will send any money we get through Super Chat to mine but I think YouTube takes like a processing fee or something like that so it'll all go to the charity if you use the link but if you want to spend your money on asking us questions then feel free because we do have the chat open and we will be uh we'll be taking questions we taking questions at some point but we might not be looking at it the whole time because we've got transfers here transfers there transfers every can we swear sure yeah we should probably introduce our uh executive production P you can't see them we've got allly and Johnny uh who actually know how to run these things cuz if you're looking at the professional setup going wow God we've not done that the guys have done so well there we've we've done nothing they've already seen my bedroom it's a drop down Green Screen the light shines through it this is state-ofthe-art thanks to these guys here we've we will at some point reluctantly grab them and make them City here for at least 5 minutes to talk to you but for now they're over there we will be asking several questions and asking them to do things and when things go wrong you'll see us both like Mia cat look over here like this in the hope that uh they'll fix it so that's that's us for the next 10 hours that is that's us for the next 10 hours we've also got lovely lower thirds as well which are going to pop up which uh might surprise you when a transfer does happen and speaking of one that has happened let's just get right into it we for that's what we're here for James Ward prows now came out of nowhere yeah it did actually didn't it it was just like this morning it's done it was a bomber was it a fabito or onstein bom an bber it was an Ste Stein bomber L can we get the first one we're using it's a preemptive onstein bomber we got that great there there you go it was an onstein bom Ste bomber um now I uh I guess when I think about James W prows maybe I'm a little bit of a footballing neanderthal but all I can think of is oh he kicks dead balls well he a setpiece man and Nottingham Forest have some big fellas in that side namely Chris Wood well FR I'm glad I'm glad you said this I I'll now head over to the uh the Tactical area and talk you through it do you need me to join you or should I just I'll just sit here do your thing I haven't got enough players for this keep talking yeah Chris Wood um oh he's gone I can see Adam on the on the screen is there a delay here oh okay right I was going to say I thought he was like it like an apparition he'd like gone over there but you're still here oh yeah know Chris Wood uh Tyro aan as well you know um free kicks set pieces Corners you name it James W prows is good at it and it gives Nottingham Forest an extra Dimension it gives them that I guess that X Factor from dead balls that West Ham maybe wanted last season but didn't quite get out of him I think today West Ham are looking like they're going to sign Carlos cair which is positionally a pretty similar signing to James W prow will'll come on to that later but of course James W prow is now at Nottingham Forest um and yeah I think it makes a lot of sense especially for a team that's going to be down there fighting for points are you set I'm all good yeah I'm I'm good I'm good here so uh can I can I get can I get the thumb from the production team we we good right great uh so Moy ball last season that was a lot of fun wasn't it occasionally we would see West Ham in this sort of four 2 3 1 going to give we new at this I'm ging we on I wish I could see what was going on I can I can see myself still on a delay you can right so this is the 4231 Moy ball quite a lot but also they would use this just classic 4 2 31 now the problem with that is none of that naturally feels like a really good fit for James W PR not really how he was being used at Southampton but they got him in anyway because Adams already alluded to se pieces the guy is an unbelievable deliverer of dead balls from corners from free kicks he can take them directly he can take them indirectly he's brilliant at it so you would have expected West Ham then to all of a sudden become the dead ball Kings of the Premier League but that did not happen it did it I haven't got I can't Flash the numbers on screen but if you a rest H fan you remember last season not really any major uptick in the amount of goals they were scoring from SE P you want me to research this as you're going on like look I'm already prepped it's all it's all it's all up it's all up so there weren't there was no real major uptick in the number of setpiece goals as a result of signing James W prow which implies he wasn't doing a very good job given that's what he's specialist St but if you're a nerd and you're so inclined as we so often are you dig a little deeper into the setpiece numbers I'm going to blow your mind here Adam go on West Ham's setpiece XG through the roof West Ham setpiece goals bang average stagnant stag in fact so what does that tell you James W prous was in fact doing his job and doing it very well just they weren't taking those sort of chances and if we just go back to the pitch for a moment when you are playing a 4-33 that has Jared Bowen up front for half the season uh cudas is over there pett floating around the Midfield Zuma not really a great attacking header of the ball you can start to see that he wasn't particular good fit for the rest of the squad so the corners were much better the free kicks were much better but they did not have within that West Ham side a team that was likely to finish shout out Thomas such though shout Thomas a great score of goals but again you don't associate with set P gos D more of like an arriving kind like Ricochet off his backside he's one of them in it one of exactly so if you can't get your hands on James Bo prous what you need to be able to do is take your setpiece chances really well and it just so happens Adam monk would you believe it there was a team in the Premier League last season that was grossly overperforming that set piece who could it be it was actually not in a forest it if you can believe such a thing so their actual creation of chances from set pieces Notting Forest wasn't great it was a fairly poor deliverers of the ball like Morgan Gibbs white very good a couple of corner takers here and there but not a team that you associate with expert dead balls and yet mostly through Chris Wood they were really overachieving in that area they were converting way more chances from set pieces than they theoretically should have been so what would you want to add to a team like that am I right in saying that this world PR signing must it makes sense aot makes a lot of sense players who can routinely overperform the kind of set pieces you're delivering to them and uh James or prous increases the quality of the set pieces you're delivering so I would expect as a result Notting and Forest to do a lot better for having someone like James W prous in that side than someone like West Ham United but the question becomes with such talent Adam monk where do you fit him in you're not going to drop elanga you're not going to drop Gibbs white they've bought about 18 other players this h a in there as well you can't really play him in the you can't play him in the front fourth can you so maybe it's uh it's it's one of those positions in the middle of the park in that double pivot are we expect James W prow double pivot well oral mangala's left today he's gone G I believe he has I will double check that one but that is what I was seeing earlier so I guess it leaves a bit more of a vacancy in the middle of the park for him to do his Ting why did I say Ting uh I don't know because you you are young probably why use this young person vernacular if we just go back to the pitch for a second West Nottingham Forest they were a bit of an all over the place thing I know nuno's not really seen as like a majorly attacking manager but I watched them play against Newcastle last night in the Cup last night what day is this Friday this is Friday two nights ago in the cup and they had a lot going on I they using like a 4 2 31 which if they do stick that way uh throughout the course of the season with the league you would expect Chris Wood to retain his place up front as we said they've got great wide options H too alanga Gibbs white they've just signed a guy called jotter as well who scored against Newcastle yeah so what what is jot Silva does he not sound to you like someone averaged out every signing of the last sort of three years like it's this guy he also kind of looks like an avered out kind of wol exctly like I don't just mean like his name I mean like every composite element of him like the hair the beard the name all of that the position the yeah so he's there he's obviously he did very well in the Newcastle game he have staked a claim to be part of the site you would imagine that leaves James W prous having to play one of these two pivot positions which is interesting because if you're Notting on Forest you're potentially scrapping around the bottom of the table do you want someone who looks like he's had horse riding lessons in the middle of the park fighting for that ball I'm not sure you do maybe they're looking to punch above their weight Adam well I've got a m I've got a mad shout to really start this live stream off right I once played uh a football manager competition course right it was a football manager playoff competition and quick shout out to the FM Girl by the way that she was had to guide me through it because my computer simply wouldn't do the streaming element OB it uh and it was a it was a draft thing where you had to like draft all the players and then play all these things together and we ended up revolutionary we ended up having James W PR at right back I could see that working I could see that working so the whole plan was we were playing this Football H competition against those serious FM players who had like meta tactics and stuff and we went 442 with just like we had Kea mu up front we had that's a Target man I think we had Langer as well we just had like Target men quick options on the wing and then we're just like we need to we got Ward PR for the set P we need a quarterback he's not he's not going in the Midfield certainly not we've got two absolute [ __ ] kickers in there so we ended up sticking in at right back and I think got like four assists over the tournament just yeah I could see that working in real life if you're watching nun now and presume you're not doing anything else this afternoon there's there's an option for you so James Ro prous that's how he's definitely not going to be used at nottingam Forest but certainly what I would do first of many we didn't think about this I got to walk in front of the camera every time I come back yeah that's fine that's fine any trans uh no transfers since then but I just wanted to say one more thing about Nottingham Forest in a kind of more General sense so obviously you remember when they got prom oted years ago and it was mental they s about 40 players akin to what Chelsea doing right now now you could argue theyve stayed up two seasons on the bounce they've got a good attack now like we just said James W prow in the squad has that strategy I mean has a kind of been a proven method to the madness now we're two years down the line Nottingham in the Premier League you know they survived last season pretty securely in the end did it work in the end that sort of scattergun approach of just bringing loads of players in the thing is right it's a results business especially if you're a promoted side like literally your objective is nothing more than can you stay in the Premier League like it's not about Bells whistles style of football anything like that not Forest came up they were insane they so nearly got relegated twice now right in saying but they didn't because they quality and if you look at like what's happened to Everton Nottingham Forest have avoided largely the sort of PSR Minefield for now they're certainly doing enough deals at the at the end obviously they've not been completely devoid of it but regardless they've stayed in the Premier League they've not been effectively relegated because of overspending so and they sort of shaved the squad now to something sizeable that can maybe kick on they're not they're not if we look at that Squad from top to bottom they're not actually a bad side at I'm looking at it now if you go through like bottom half teams front four of jot Hudson adoy Gibbs white and then wo aan up front that's probably the best out of the bottom 10 half of the league I think you struggle more technical ability than that there I'm going to BU it I'm saying not Forest to finish about nottingam Forest you're in charge yeah why not plus Boys Are Back do you get Europe for 12th now it must be close you probably can there's probably going to be a new UEFA division at some point that'll uh that'll allow it but yeah uh should we move on to Chelsea and we're going to have to at some point we we're going to have to at some this could be the next three hours just talk about Chelsea for three hours I mean it kind of leads nicely in because we talked about Nottingham Forest scatter gun approach well whatever Chelsea are doing is is different it's it's it's different to anything I've ever seen in the history of the league we're expecting outgoings more than anything else aren't we we are expecting outgo I mean if we just go through it now of course Raheem Sterling today if you want to talk about him that's probably the first maybe going to Arsenal yeah Raheem Sterling's an interesting one because I would have loved dearly loved for one of the journalists at those moresa press conferences to just do one follow-up question when he says he's not the kind of Winger I like to go what kind of Winger do you like because Sterling he's he's somebody who I think I think people have a lot of opinions about Raheem Sterling that aren't necessarily founded in his football if that makes sense I think there sort of there's a there's a a reput not even a reputation around him I just think there's like preconceptions around him and stuff but if you look at his actual footballing ability he was unbelievable in Manchester City he was actually really good for Chelsea last season he was involved a lot in preseason and even just the little things you can get right about Raheem Sterling people get wrong like everyone kept saying he released a statement CU he didn't get picked that isn't what happened like he didn't get picked and the papers approached his camp for a reason why he hadn't been gave him and they replied with like we don't know this they just literally gave a reply and watched Monday Night Football that week and they were like ridiculous putting out a statement just because you haven't got picked and I'm screaming at the television like that's not what happened that isn't what happened just like two seconds of research um but as you've alluded to there's some kind of issue with regards to his training I I think personally you know he was when he sort of left City his game time deteriorated and of course Pep's assistant in that season 2122 was Enzo Mesa so maybe there's a correlation there maybe that's the reason and he already by default when he walked through the door thought this isn't the man for me I think he only played him once in preseason which isn't really a good enough sample size to find out what players you're best so I just don't think Mesa wanted him for maybe a number of reasons and we don't really know them but Adam where would you say he's best suited to go where is he the best fit you know the M thing is I actually think he's a really good fit at Arsenal I think he's a really good fit at man united I actually think if you look at especially look at the problems Marcus rashford's having at the minute like the kind of football that ten Hog's going to want to play rashford's may be a little too Direct in the final third I might I don't know that I might not stand by that statement if ever pressed on it but I just think his his desire just to pick up the ball up in the same positions and then run into the same areas and try and have the same sort of mend results I think becomes a little bit twoo dimensional I think it's amazingly utilized in teams that play a different way but I think under ten hog it becomes a bit sort of predictable I think if you asked ten hog would you rather have a player like Raheem Sterling not necessarily Raheem Sterling but a player like that in that position I think you would say yes because Sterling's obviously showed he's he's way better at arriving late to finish off moves he's good at getting involved in the plays a little bit more technical he can also be that outlet like that rashford kind of direct stretch the pitch running behind kind of Winger as well as he has sort of got in those tight pockets as well the most basic way of looking at
