hello cool actually it's pablo here and welcome back to bass universal and welcome to the match review of linares deportivo one barcelona two barcelona haven't needed progress to the round of 16 of the copa del rey it was a hard-fought encounter as we expected away from home but barcelona have done it from behind we've won two goals in the second half from dembele and then have recovered the lead and the victory for barcelona we've progressed to the next round there is a lot to discuss the game was really interesting actually a lot of chances a lot went on so let's get started and let's kick start with the lineup from chavi hernandez actually all half long in the first half i just couldn't really figure out who was playing where this was it roughly guys we had neto and goal you had mingetta there almost next day they got to see out center back i suppose giordia aliba was left wing araujo was left back and danny alabas was right back later it changed after the goal arrow went to the right edit came to the left i mean get in the middle it was kind of a back three slasher back four and we've seen that a few times already from chaby this season i think in that first half it just left everyone a little bit confused it really didn't that's why i think in the second half when we went to you know the more natural 433 almost everything felt just more natural in a way i just feel as if i'll get on to a bit later too but i think when we're playing this you know makeshift fallback three back everyone seems a little confused with their roles i think the 433 right now it suits basta a lot better but let's kick start with the match action i thought barcelona were actually okay in the first half look i think in these games i'm never actually expecting fireworks or anything amazing the pictures are quite tough to play on it's hostile it's usually a rotator team you know all of those things apply today i'd all had a good headed chance actually in the fifth minute and actually all game long by the way there were so many chances in this game loads and loads of chances to cover uh 17th minute elias had a good chance i thought that was going to be the opener for barcelona good play i think my nikoi who got it through to him elias comes in there it looked like he got a bit of a nudge before his shot went in but it just goes wide of the goal and then a minute later it's actually linares deportivo who opened a score the stadium absolutely erupts and it's a good goal from them you've got to say it but 18 minutes played like i said it's a good cross it's a very good header too by olga diaz good movement from leonardo's what i would say though this is dreadful depend defending from barcelona that's a fact i will say that right now i wasn't impressed actually with the lead up to the goal we gave the ball away quite poorly with that alcohol and then the pressure on the ball it's just non-existent that's not good enough at any level i think that was complacency getting into our games they're thinking you know these guys aren't going to score and look of course they lack a bit of quality i think we saw that even in defense in the latter stages of the second half but look if you give professional footballers time and space they're going to punish you and that's what happened here no one pressurizing the ball i think ricky porch and john of the alibaba they just stood back they watched the cross come in and the back post and it just mean guesthouse man nowhere near close enough it's poor defending ramen get that again and it's a good header by olga diaz and at that point one millionaires and as i say i don't think barcelona had been dreadful up to that point i think we'd been okay quite good in a way you know it was a solid start to the half i thought from basa but i think one player we've got to pick out almost he did get subbed off at half time was ricky pooch i think ricky porch has been a player of course has had a lot of almost press behind him a lot of support i think maybe in the past he was unfairly left out of the team and that's left him almost quite you know a resilient and loyal fan base behind him saying he deserves to start he should be this he should be that but i think we're seeing now for me ricky porch isn't at the level of a barcelona midfielder it's been apparent i think for maybe over a year now it's just not good enough you're seeing him on the ball he gets nudged off it easily even when he's in possession does he look that dangerous not really i think physically compared to our other midfielders too when he's on the board like i say is it that special no it's not i don't know you know pressing tracking back he doesn't have a lot to his game right now and i think again today you're thinking kendrick he's shy and can he you know get on the ball make something happen well the answer was absolutely not towards the end of the first half barcelona she'd have a flurry of late chances we maybe could have equalized here ricky himself had a good chance that he blazed over the bar i think to be fair he saw it quite late i think it looks quite bad the way you know he blasts it over from such close range but i think he saw the ball quite late it kind of just you know hit off his leg in the end about a minute later actually dropped the alabama and then i gotta see i had good efforts actually and good opportunities uh to score and even right at the last minute at the half i think it was danny alves floated a good ball to the back post and alibaba kind of just misdodged it i think we were expecting a linano's defender to head it out but half time one nil down not good news of course we don't want to be going out of the copper this early so at half time chavy made changes and actually three changes the senior players came on pique came on far away we're hoping that's not an injury by the way we also had frankie dion coming for ricky porch that was expected and then dembele came on for ilya so dembele hey after all the contract talks that's his first game by the way since all of this so i think that was a bit awkward i think we saw that in the second half but look if barcelona can move on cortina to aston villa that will give us the wage uh limit to register for antores that means dembele can stay but again you know if he's leaving at the end of the season and negotiate with other clubs it's a bit awkward but it is what it is and actually right at the start of the second half boss i had quite a good chance it was for angel glad there are the alibaba cutter back to him good chance for zhukla and then for about 15 minutes after that not much happened i was thinking you know leonardo's they're running down the clock here you know out of nowhere basta equalized and who else but ulzman dembele it's a good goal to be fair it is a good goal and i think what i would say about denver in that second half is that you stood out i think against third tier opposition when dembele's on it he looks like a different sort of player and that's always what we've said about dembele whenever we praise him we always said you know he looks different he gives us a lot he's quick he's our child he can get in and around players and he's done well here he does well to dribble inside the left-footed effort is good would a first-tier goalkeeper save it yes he would actually go through the keeper's hands in my opinion he's got to be saving it but it's good from dembele it's spontaneous it's out of nowhere he takes it on it's a good dribble but it's a good shot and for barcelona it's obviously a massive goal about 62 minutes played this was and actually not long after it's been kind of chaos in a suit in the match i felt after the assembly goal this is when the match turned because the inanes here i think we'll feel may be hard done by they had a goal that i think they all feel is potentially legal ruled out i think there's a header that's quite far out it trickles towards nettle but he actually lets her in and they've said he lets it in almost because there's a player standing in an offside position in front of him i'd actually tend to agree and actually think if there was var they would have ruled this goal out i don't think it would have stood so i don't think there's any you know robbery or anything going on here but the fact remains it is quite you know a polemical situation if you like i think even more controversy was added to it by the fact that basta then went down the other end and put themselves in front and this is all the work of feranjoogler a player i'm becoming really fond of i think he's really really impressed me in the final third he gets on the ball he's hungry he's got desire about his game he's also got quality he looks very assured he's good with his back to goal he's good at running in behind he knows where the space is he just looks like a sharp striker i've been one i wonder where this guy's been hiding really looks like a good player he fits barcelona very well and this goal is great just a great goal not even much no analysis to say about it he dribbles he cuts inside and he fires into the corner exactly what we need well done jula great finish great goal for bassa and after looking like it could be a really you know devastatingly you know poor exit in the cup barcelona in front with over 20 minutes left to go after we went two one up i did feel as if the game started to slow down a little bit lenara stood up maybe one last big chance where actually a cold effort went off the angle nettle looked like it was going wide but that nearly dipped in actually but other than that you know leonardo's didn't really trouble us pique came on and dealt with pretty much everything that that came forward with him and i gotta see out of solid second half i felt look they put a bit of late pressure on but it wasn't any you know heart and mouth situations for bassa as it was against my older car we also had a few chances actually to kill the game later on alvaro sons fired one just one of the post dembele had a great chance you know as i say he kind of made the difference in the second half dribbled past two players with a fake shot and then fired it off the crossbar pretty much the definition of dembele i felt that chance was just a simple finish to roll into the corner but no he puts his boot through it and he fires onto the bar but for barcelona it's victory it's progression to the next round it is a win away from home it was a tough game a hostile game we knew it would be and look with power enough first team players there i feel i feel as if we've gone strong enough there to win this one we have come back with a victory we have progress we do want to be progressing in these cup competitions and it's another victory for chubby's side it's good news too you know it feels like we're getting a bit of winning momentum behind us and that's what we need it feels like yeah you know we feel like we can win games i just feel as if something's turned almost barcelona i'll come into games expecting to win almost and i know that sounds weird but in the past that kind of wasn't the case even a few weeks ago so i'm positive i'm happy with how things are going today was tough i think defensively we've got to improve a touch from danny alvarez's debut great to see him back out there i think he actually looks a little out of speed with a professional football danny alvarez so let's see if he recoups that in in the next coming weeks but as i say positive signs of bath so i think we're improving i really do i honestly feel that it is positive from chubby side there's a lot of work to do there are a lot and a lot of players missing and yeah there's still lots of work to do like i'm saying and lots of massive and bigger games coming up but today we've done well to go through we're looking good we've got granada on saturday in the league so the football doesn't really stop lots coming up for basser and then after that midweek it's the super copper semi final so look lots of football coming up lots of games to play and i think chavy will be hoping he can recover a few more players ahead of those fixtures so let's see how we do guys lots coming up for bassa today we've won today we've progressed and good night
