#1628 | Lads, Its Preseason! Spurs Post Match Reaction + New Signings! Tactical Breakdown + Squad Concerns? ft. CFC Central #CFC

London Is Blue - Chelsea FC Podcast

In this episode of the London Is Blue Podcast, Dan and Sam (CFC Central) discuss Chelsea's 2-1 preseason loss to Spurs and the latest roster updates under manager Xabi Alonso. The team recently announced the signing of midfielder Valentin Barco and is nearing a deal for defender Pep Chavarria, adding depth but contributing to a bloated squad. Furthermore, Mykhailo Mudryk is set to rejoin the squad following updated legal rulings, with a potential loan move to Strasbourg or another side expected to help him regain match sharpness. Despite the friendly loss, the hosts highlight Alonso's tactical experimentation with a 4-4-2 mid-block and the promising attack led by Cole Palmer, Estevao, and Joao Pedro, while acknowledging major squad-pruning and defensive depth challenges ahead.
