what's up everybody we are ready to go here we go so today we got some Barcelona versus Real Bettis or Barcelona versus the team that they sent V out on to and a team in real that Barcelona regularly scores uh quite a few goals against so first hello to everybody in here because I mean this is you want to talk about overlap we've been mentioning other teams that Barcelona have a number of old friends on and this one in particular verer Ro OB Mark bartra I mean this is this is a team that Barcelona knows well RIS Silva they've played ton of times of course sergy Al Al uh alamira yeah Sergi alamira maybe real betes he's you know one of their one of their young players that they're trying to put out there the game starts at 10:15 East Coast time so in 27 minutes it gets started Marcus loso is having a good year and then Timmy Aila Timmy a is starting has been starting out in there on the wide and then Matteo Flores is another one of RI bettis's young players so uh to let people know yeah I am planning on uh upgrading in terms of like having a little more graphics on the screen all those different things hey Marcus yeah from Atlanta Georgia There you go yeah yeah so your East Coast time too um but yeah just let everyone know I do plan on adding graphic to this and upgrading the streaming stuff in the new year um I've been putting a lot of work behind the scenes to get a questions yeah so I'm interested to see how this one's going to go let's talk about the starting lineup a little bit um and by I think the only surprise in this starting lineup to be honest with you with leowski coming back in and it being the same starting lineup from that Tuesday match against mayorca which timeline wise isn't that crazy what is seemingly a bit surprising for me is that that game on Wednesday against Dortmund it seems like this rotation is going to be the same group so it feels like Hy flick is just kind of running these players into the ground which you know as we know is never great but also the Barcelona doesn't have much depth the only surprise that I have is gobby I mean sorry not Gabby Gabby's not starting pedri is starting pedri starting is pretty pretty much the one surprise that I have here um I figured he was going to get rotated with with cido and Alo also starting with him I also thought Almo might be the one to get rotated you know he's had he's been in and out of lineup with injuries recently and the fact that he came right back in the starting lineup last time out Marg you're saying I think levandowski should be rested for the Champions League well he was just rested against mayorca and levandowski is a starter does do less running than everyone else on the field so the fact that he rested against myor did not play at all in those 90 minutes that tells you that he was going to be starting pretty much every game for the rest of this season by season I mean I mean this year and may may maybe season but I think cobal Del re wise because Barcelona he came out this week their four potential opponents are all in the third division so with Barcelona kind of having you know potentially a lighter Copa del re first round in that round of 32 I think that leowski and most of the regular starters will be rotated for that one that said I I would have picked Pablo D actually to start against R Betis instead of Elo um when araho is back who should be rested first kubar SE or niika Martinez I would rest kubar SE he's you know broken his face this year he's had just a ton of different ups and downs kuari not Downs in terms of performances but I mean like breaking his face and all those things this season so uh also bringing a raho back I think as the right-sided center back with a left footed Center back next to him Eno Martinez I think is the best way to kind of bring araho back into this and I also think the leadership that enigo Martinez brings at the back for that high line if you're goingon to throw nigar Martinez back in we're also looking at what match you're throwing him back into it seems like he will be back H Midway it seems like he will be back for the Barcelona versus legan S game on Sunday the 15th so if that's the case and you're bringing him back for that game on that Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening in in in Barcelona you're bringing him back for that game against leganes leoness have had okay results this year they're bottom half of the table but they're not you know they're still a ways away from the relegation Zone at the moment so they're having some good good results that being legan s so I think you bring him back for that one with Eno Martinez and you rotate kubar SE for that one that would be my plan Luis and then that next Saturday you have a decision to make between Barcelona Atletico Madrid who you go with and then Barcelona have about three weeks off because in the match after that is not till January 8th at the semi-final of the super Copa against Athletic Club but I believe the third round of that Copa D would be that first week of January so January 2nd or fourth or whatever that day winds up being that said that first week of of January when Barcelona playing the com D I would expect again heavy rotations there and because I've talked your ears off about the laasia players in this laasia generation hey that Koba Dar match is time for a player that's been on the the first team bench all year here Sergio Dominguez you know especially at the back it's your turn so maybe Aro and Sergio Dominguez then wind up being your your starters for that match in Thea Dar and you rotate n martinez and Kari completely so now having that you know another Center back option isn't necessarily A Bad Thing and we'll see how aaho you know kind of fits back into um the rotation interesting news this week that Eric Garcia and Anu fatti were told that if the entire team is healthy now this is always interesting too they said that because the team is getting healthier that those two are not going to find minutes which H flick could be honest about that and that can be right but I'm not sure that everyone's going to stay healthy right like making a guarantee that that that pedri and Costo are going to continue to play the amount of minutes they have that Gabby is gonna continue to stay healthy that Franky young isn't going to go down again like those are a lot of big questions like christenson's going to come back and be okay you know that that's a lot of wh ifs that makes me kind of skeptical to this idea that hanzi flick was just going to tell these guys hey you know I I don't don't worry about it we're we're not going to really use you find a new club um T hi to you uh Luis I agree with three of your picks I would want to see quena darich and Kem junette in that first Copa game you know I think that those are three really good picks along with um GMO the only tough thing is that you can't throw too many of the youngsters on at the same time so I think darvic I would start him on the bench Keem junette I would start him on the bench and I would start the Fernandez cousins I think GMO and Tony Fernandez are closer to the first team and the three names you mentioned Luis so I would start with Tony Fernandez on the right in place of l m and then GMO as the 10 in place of I don't know actually because G's tough I said the tens are there's just too many tens um Keem G play on the left wing um oh thanks thanks um so pabl Tor and p v are definitely starting that match right so is it but it's probably Fen Torres starting as the nine and then pal Victor starts on the left you know I don't know that's what I mean like there's enough depth now in the first team that you don't necessarily have to have a Copa del R match that's just full of full of young players um what's up with the pal PR Renewal by the way we we got told it was done but nothing more since then I guess it's more going to do with FF but he's athletic player so surely it wouldn't hurt that much um yeah the renewal might be done but they just may not have signed it yet there might still be details at the very end that they're going through um so yeah I mean listen once the once a renewal like that is verbally agreed upon for a player that's been at the club since the academy level um and you stop hearing any links with any other clubs like that I just kind of expect that it'll get done at some point um maybe it'll potentially be done you know in that little break there um so yeah I I'm not too worried about it uh it because the ffp for the for bars athletic is still just fine they can still I believe they still have room in their budget to and by there I mean like the club's total budget but the numbers are so low um you're you're talking like less than a million per player so pal PR is I mean I think his his renewal is 18 now so his renewal is likely going to it would jump him up to maybe 1 million or something like that um per season so I don't know um I'm just asking because I feel like P is good enough to be a Caso backup as a deepest midfielder I don't think he's ready yet I don't think pal PR is just at the level at the moment where you would you'd start him not even start him but where he would even be getting experience Off the Bench like Eric Garcia Christenson those are really the backup center back I mean uh defensive midfielders at the moment uh well not even because D young is there Gabby is there there's just too many quote backups like right now gobby is the CTO backup D young is the Caso backup you know so I I hear you about the power PR stuff but I mean I think what he's doing this year pal PR is similar to what Costo did last season and you hope that pal PR I mean he could even do this for two seasons he's 18 right now he could stay with bar athletic it's not insane for a 20-year-old to be with bars athletic you know we've kind of broken our brain how young you should be with that team so PPR could even be two more seasons if he's renewing now and over the next two years till he's 20 21 years old old he improves bars atletic which he has done some this year and just continues to improve so by that time I think two years down the road Franken young is certainly not at Barcelona anymore I'm not saying he's going to be kicked out in the summertime or whatever it is but by that time I think he's he's completely gone so um let me see Alex uh sorry kogan you're asking first do you think flick is prioritizing this game over Champions League really can't afford to Madrid put them on the path where I had said over the last month that by winning the matches in October that they did having such a good October they gave themselves some cushion now in terms of the standings Barcelona are now technically they're going to be trailing um well no technically not not trailing Real Madrid because Real Madrid failed to get a result uh in the last timeout so that athletic right I'm I'm considering that athletic match um so yeah in the case of now say here I'm hold on let me just check this out I'm trying to remember brain's not working this morning right that's right on Wednesday losing to Athletic Club um to that point John I didn't get a chance to watch that match um that's why like I'm not even remembering it so Athletic Club did Barcelona a big favor there by beating Real Madrid I mean giving them a loss their first their second loss the season I should say so now Barcelona is still on Pace to be up by one in the league table um which I think that is what makes rotation a little bit more interesting uh Luis you're adding to this we just need four points out of nine to class to classify directly in the Champions League it makes sense to like want to prioritize the lia um yes Louis but the matches that Barcelona have upcoming in the Champions League are not easy it's brucia Dortmund it's Benfica and it's Atlanta so I think it's a bit risky like those are all three pretty solid teams uh and I don't take that lightly you know benfica's handed Barcelona some bad results in recent Seasons um also historically 1961 I have not forgotten what Benfica did to Barcelona denied them the first Champions League uh for 31 years prior of that then 86 obviously they got to the final also against stett but didn't work out then either but anyway with Dortmund Benfica and um at atanta I mean I think it is still as good as those sides are um tooke this match starts at at the 15 so 15 after the hour so 14 minutes from now um and I'm going to start to have the time of when the match starts here on this graphic I know I still don't have a lot of people in this uh in in this live stream but the plan is for the New Year again to have Graphics here and I do have a bunch of upgrades that I'm planning on even potentially the camera the things like that so there is there's investment coming in through the um in the winter break that I for what that could be you know in theory that that they're hoping that becomes like a basically a twitch for um for people who are watching uh football or soccer content so um that that's the reason speak about the depth I think that really only happened when you look at the rotation because Pablo T started that last match no he did not start that last match um who did start that last match gosh kind of adding to this I don't like gobby and D young as the deepest midfielders I need a a defensive midfielder while goby compress it doesn't mean he's good defensively if we get played through um I I think I think Gabi is still coming back I I think the idea yeah Alex yeah almost started what am I talking about um yeah the idea that I think Gabby isn't going to be able to play in this double pivot as the ball winner I think he'll get there I just think that it's going to take him a little bit of time to to to find himself back in um yeah Alo right Tori Paulo Tor came in on the left and pal Victor played the nine that's right that that's what's the very rtion because far and tus had started um right and then D young played as basically the the 10 so yeah I mean that I think it works out late in matches but I wouldn't start D young like that I think D young as a 10 does not give you enough creativity um to be able to start him in a position when teams have their legs I think he he's a perfect option for that position because he can drive with the ball when there spaces created once a team is been pressed by Barcelona for 70 minutes so it makes more sense to me that you throw Frank uh the higher D young is on the field that permutation happens later in a match when teams are a bit more tired maybe you start with two eights and C with a six Alex maybe but I also think that Barcelona have found they've just found more control this season I know November was was rough but even in the bad times in November I feel like Barcelona they knew the way if hzi flick wed to play and even if it w working right like we talk a lot about the highrisk high rewards the way they play even when things weren't working I still felt like Barcelona knew what they they knew what they wanted to do they knew what the idea was um and they just weren't executing at times they were missing chances things like that uh Samy goal by T in the lusen match I'm excited by the idea of him joining um yeah I mean who does he replace n martinez is 32 so it's not like he's getting any younger he just maybe this this is a one done deal where um you know n martinez the season actually reminds me of um that year with Gabrielle Milow a few years ago for those younger fans you can just Google him um where he wasn't at Barcelona for long but he started that one year really helped out I thought he was an important player that year and then he said all right Deuces I'm good with that um so kind of reminds me of that situation uh tooke who do you feel could be survived if injured for three months in our front line who oh who do you think the club could survive um if they were injured for three months I I'm I'm not sure like levandowski L Ma and rafina are all completely Irreplaceable to season Rafia we just we can't conceptualize who Rafia was every other season he's having a career year that is beyond an understatement he's having a career gear what he adds defensively like Rafia going down for multiple months would completely unbalance the squad L Mo I mean look what happened when he was out for a few weeks Barcelona have no one to attract a second Defender and it unbalances the entire team it allows teams to defensively solidify things a little bit better and once teams are more solidified on the uh while they're in their they're not rest defense but when they're defensively in a low block shape um it just means that they're able to One V one have an extra player out on that Counterattack and and just be more difficult when you don't have luminium all attracting that attention at the back of the opposition so yeah linum all going down would be terrible and then same thing leowski just like being the point of emphasis look Faron Torres was not leowski and it made people last game even you know Miss leowski let me see uh Ron I feel like Oscar G is the next laasia Talent after G and Tony Fernandez that might be true I've just been very careful with oscar style because he's a number nine and number NES for every major Club it's really hard to get minutes in time because you're expected to sc
