Jason Cundy REVEALS he CELEBRATED "FUNNY" Manchester City goals against Liverpool!
Jason Cundy on celebrating Manchester City's goals against Liverpool, criticising Florian Wirtz and discussing Newcastle and others
The show starts with the officiating and Liverpool's collapse against Manchester City, with Jason Cundy admitting he celebrated City's goals and found the result funny. He then turns on Florian Wirtz, calling him a potential candidate for the Premier League's worst-ever signing; later the discussion moves to Newcastle's troubles, Fulham's lack of identity and Coventry's resilience.
- The first yellow card was not a yellow and the second one was; the soft first booking put the player in trouble — The second challenge clearly stopped a promising attack, while the first did not meet the standard for a booking
- I celebrated Manchester City's goals against Liverpool and found the result really funny — I had said I would find it funny, and the Liverpool fans' reaction plus the money and cheating jibes made it a great football wind-up
- Florian Wirtz could go down as the biggest waste of money in Premier League history — He lacks physicality and personality, does not demand the ball or influence games, and looks scared; a youth player in that form would be on the bench at best
- Fulham have no clear identity and are in big trouble — You cannot say what their style is, while Hull and Leeds have a clear identity and are hard to play against
- Newcastle's midfield has been weakened and if this continues they could be fighting relegation — Without Bruno and the midfield control they used to have, they look flat and cannot impose themselves
- It is premature to say Newcastle will fight relegation; they will be fine and probably mid-table, maybe 10th — There is too much of the season left to draw that conclusion now
- Newcastle's final-third choices were poor, and Coventry deserve credit for weathering pressure and breaking their spirit — Newcastle kept making wrong decisions in the final third; Coventry could not get out for 15 minutes but used substitutes to hold the ball up and find a way out

yourself in trouble and you put ourselves in travelers yeah the yellow card that the first yellow is not a yellow card no that is a terrible decision second one is you can't get away from that he stops the promising attack you know he's already he's gone past one challenge yeah and once he's gone past the first Gunnberg's got to realise he can't get the ball and he stopped a promising attack that is a yellow card yeah stonewaller it's not the first one though that's the problem but Jay it happens all the time picking up soft yellows then you've got to know you're on a yellow he's an experienced boy don't give the referee a decision to make it's harsh the first one definitely the second one's not but after that they capitulated absolutely capitulated they fell apart they fell apart and city absolutely put them to the sword did you celebrate yeah yeah you celebrated man city goals yeah i got up and give it a big old whack in front of the telly i found it funny i told you i was going to find it funny it's a funny result liverpool fans giving it all the big is it funny yeah it's funny yeah yeah it is it's really funny everyone hates city city fans going out there they're like got the bananas got the money giving it all that about you know you've got more by the cheaters that's that's golden that got more by the cheaters it's oh why are you putting the face no i'm no no listen i i found it isn't that what football's about those have the house remote yeah mansis i expected more from liverpool i was disappointed in liverpool yeah i thought liverpool are a bit crap though i mean they're gonna be better like florian verts mate is he all right now there's what he's going on with him an uncomfortable conversation needs to take place like come on he is so do ryan jerky right the real deal right ryan jerky or vert i mean there's not much in terms of the stature ryan jerky mate owns the pitch yeah he's got personality gets the ball for on verts they've got personality mate it's got no personality the way he plays no he's got lovely touches lovely flicks you can see there's but he can't he can't he can't there's an influencer can't influence a game at all Jay he's miles away from influencing and if he was a youth team player that had been put into that first team there's no way he'd be starting every week he'd be on the bench at very best and they've got a problem he's he's a problem to them yeah it's a real problem they spent so much money on him yeah I mean look you bring back your sack and you bring back Ikatike and then Gakpo their front lines all of a sudden feels and looks different and it'll be a different I think that Liverpool give them a bit more of a game right but Wurtz mate he's a yeah we'll have this conversation I think he could go down as the biggest waste of money in the Premier League's ever seen really yeah I do I genuinely do I think I've seen enough I think I've honestly seen that I'm not sure he has one the physicality two the personality you know when I say personality I mean give me the ball I want to influence the game I want to have sometimes players you can give the ball away but you're showing you want the ball you know you want to show what I've got yeah I don't see any of that I'm not he's he's having a tough time he looks scared looks frightened and we love dear what liverpool fans think well liverpool fans give us a call let's go to some newcastle fans bad night for them go to michael all right mike mike mikey um bit of a spanking tonight mate whooping uh another whooping mate one from leads and i don't know i just i just think it's midfield and if we've lost bruno up to now let ellie and snow but yeah we just seen flatmate it's just it's just a struggle but one thing i want to give credit to coventry and suit for frank lampard that these teams have come up they caused the concern really because i think i think two or three of them are going to stay up i don't know what you think maybe we'll see well huller 8th right huller 8th my favorite to go down because you just think how can you go out for the playoffs and change the team but they've they've got some They've got a style of play. When you talk about a team, who are they? What do they look like? What do they feel like? What are you up against? Hull have got an identity about who they are. A little bit like Leeds actually. Leeds have got an identity. All right, they've got beat the weekend, but they've got an identity way to play. They're a tough team to play. I'm looking around some of these teams. What's Fulham's identity? What is it? Fulham are in big trouble. Yeah, Fulham are in big trouble, mate. They are. And look, Villa have had some players being sold newcastle i mean you think about that you know you had you had elliot anderson you had the tone tonali and yet bruno gimaraz in the middle of park i mean those three players combined now are worth not far off what 350 million the three of them you've lost them in what three or four years it's a lot to lose that it's it's not right in the sense of so we adapt to now they would have Bruno and just controlled the park against anyone we played absolutely anyone and we've just lost that and we'll find this free I think we'll be all right to see but yeah it's the teams that have come up they've just they've just surprised me so let's hope I'm saying get don't 80 points there take a spot but then yeah I'm concerned because if it carries on like this for us I think I think we might be fighting for survival yourself at this rate well I think it's a bit premature yeah I think you'll be fine yeah I think I just think they're going to be mid-table probably yeah I mean Hipswitch maybe their 10th Hipswitch I mean that's incredible cut the wins the start of season bumps you up you get them early it does you know it just makes everything look so much better let's go to Richie he's a Newcastle fan Rich oh Rich how are we doing hello matey how are you feeling off that second yeah a little bit this one very despondent i don't know who our our first eleven yeah it's a tough one that way your center forward's been taking a bit of stick tonight that's Such a great quote, that. It's such a great quote. Oh, you didn't dump that? You didn't dump that? He did. You didn't dump that? That's... You didn't dump that? Why did you dump that, He bottled it No he bottled it I'm going to say it now What did he say? He couldn't hit a cow's arse Sitting down with a shovel You can't dump back now, mate. That's a wonderful comment. I don't know if it's a wonderful comment. When the cow's sitting down? Yeah. With a shovel. Richie. Rich. Hello, lads. I should have got Rich to repeat it. Lads, I've been selling the Covenry end money. What do you mean? I can't repeat it. Yeah, go on, repeat it. Just repeat it. No one cares. Go Come on. He couldn't hit a cow's arse with a shovel if he was sat in its back. Don't dump it. Don't dump it. Leave it out. Leave it. Rich, you know what? I'm going to let Let it go, mate. There's nothing more you can say after that. He worked great, the old striker. No, he did have a couple of chances. But then you think about what they've They've had Issa. They've had Vissa. I mean, Vissa played today. I mean, Vissa had a good World Cup. He did. He had a decent World Cup. Isn't quite happening. I felt, first half in particular, when they got into the final third, their choice of selection of pass, cross, whatever it was, whether it be across from wide areas deep, wide areas wide, selection of everything. The final third broke down. Again, give Coventry some real credit. The two centre-halves, Thomas and Pinnock, they... They had an off first half, but then they get themselves back into it. And you wonder whether our Coventry going to wilt are they going to find it too much because they couldn't get out for about 15 minutes Jay they could not get out their half no you know and they brought on Sims and he's like now I need a fresh pair of legs can you hold it up can you give us a bit more and And they found a way. They found a way to get out and then all of a sudden Newcastle's spirit was broke.
