Okay, this is talks world breakfast with Alan Brazil and Gabby and Arnold Clark steel drop. Enjoy the new car feeling without the wait and discover great value cars in this month's deals. Now another great night for the teenage sensation Rio and Gamoa as Liverpool beat Villa Royale 4-3 Anfield. He notched two assists as he won the man of the match. But what does his future hold? Well, areola speaking after the game said he still has lots to improve on. I'm happy with his attitude because he's eager to improve the things that we think he needs to improve. He's eager to add more things to his game. Has changed the the sides a lot. Has played a lot on the right lately. He's feeling so comfortable now. And and I think he's adding even some shoots with the left that he hasn't scored, but he's getting there. If he can add these small things not to his game, it will put him even in a in a better position. And that's the good thing with Rio is still 18. It's not the still the full package. You know, he can add things fortunately for for us also. And I hope he continues the same way. It's not going to be always like this. He will have up and downs in the process, but I'm I'm happy because attitude wise, I'm seeing him in a great place. >> There you go. Gabby, you played wide. Um, you love to get at people using your pace. Tremendous pace you had. >> What is Rio? You see, you got to be careful here with a player like Rio. I I think this is only my opinion. >> You don't want to take away that fantastic eagerness to get out people and get out fullbacks and beat them and get to the by line and cross. >> You you know, you don't want to bamboozle them. You got to track back more. You got to do this. You got to do that. you know, if he's naturally gifted, play on that and and just you mentioned the other side, defensive sides, but don't go overboard on it. Don't take that brilliant talent and that ambition from him. >> No, of course. And I just remember Al, it was my second half of my career. >> I played on the left hand side and I actually at first I was like, I want to play as a striker. But then I loved it, you know, cuz you're not back to goal as much. You're on the half turn and you can receive the ball and maybe get a bit more space through that. Did you ever come short to go in behind? >> Always. Always wanted to run in behind and then if it wasn't on receive the ball, but I didn't complicate it. You know what I mean? It wasn't 10 step overs and try and get past the play. It was like, I'm going to stand you up. I'm going to knock it. I'm quicker than everyone. I'm going to stand it up left. I could use my left foot as well, which is good. I was both both feet. So, I'd stand it up to the back post, get crosses into the box. I had a chance to cut in and get a shot off at goal. But I actually really enjoyed it. The defensive part I didn't enjoy. when you're playing the top teams and you you're playing left back more or less, which he will have to do. But what's exciting about Enamo is he can play on the right, play on the left, and he's relentless, he's young, he's fit, he's got stamina, and he's the sort of player that if you're an aging fullback, you do not want to see on the team sheet. >> Yeah. >> And I'm looking at England as a setup and I don't think he takes Saka's place at the moment, but I'm saying to myself, Rashford's not playing at the moment. Madu yes he come on and scored but apart from Gordon and Saka Ez is not in form and the Moa has got every chance in the next international break in a few weeks in November to be called up and to get some good game time >> I didn't you mentioned Rashford there I didn't understand why United didn't bring him on you know I thought get him on get him on you need a goal you need a winner >> something's not right there I was I was hoping that Rashford was going to come back to Manchester United smile on his face enjoy his football get back to scoring goals but it hasn't worked And a lot of Man United fans are looking at it and saying has Rashford coming back stop Ka in playing in his preferred role on the left hand side. But Manchester United got a lot of problems not just Marcus Rashford. >> Um so back to Liverpool after Salah's departure. Liverpool now have two good options now on the right hand side. Don't know Gammore who's I think. Wow. We talk about worker and attitude and directness. Yes, definitely. Look how he took his goal as well. Ver puts him in behind on on the weekend and he's down the line against Brenford. And what I like is that he cuts in. He's not scared to use his left foot. When you can use both feet out on the right or left, you're a problem for a defender cuz whoever the defender was um chasing him back, it's what you're thinking like, all right, if I block off the shot on his right foot, if you know you're going to chop inside before the defender, that it's unstoppable and finish it side foot into the bottom corner. And then on the left side, Gakpo was back last night from injury, which is good. You got Barcolu as well. So, Liverpool looking a lot better going forward. Each back as well, scoring goals. Earlier in [snorts] the show, the Telegraph's Mercy said correspondent Dom King, a big red joined us and said this about Enam's performance. >> You know, you're right to talk about Rio. He was um he was sensational. I I would describe it more as a a coming of age night for him. Um, we've all known for quite some time that he's a he's an he's a brilliant talent. You know, you don't go and play for England before a World Cup um and be included in plans if if you're not. Um, but last night there was a a maturity to how he played. Um, he was dangerous every time he he got possession. Um, he was fearless and it was just uh it was it was very exciting to see. >> There you go. Dom King on Talk Sport. elsewhere. There's plenty of criticism for Van Djk after his mistake last night. Uh Gab, he's getting on a bit now, but he's still, you know, you can't write him off after last night. It was a lapse of concentration. It was a poor header. >> Yeah, he's he's not he's not the same Van Djk, is he that we've seen in his prime, but he's still a very good defender. Still got speed as well. Not as quick, but still got every attribute you need as a top center half. But what I didn't like from the the goal we give away was his reaction. If you make a mistake like that, a bad bad header, the player was going away from goal, you could have ran back. Maybe you would have been able to get back and do something, but even if you're you're not going to get back and stop the goal going in, it's a reaction. If you as captain >> aren't reacting to your own mistake, what does that say to the rest of the team? So, he's got to do better. >> Talk about center halfs. You know, I was impressed with the forest center half. What's his name? >> Milo >> at the back. Yeah. Every time I see him, every time I see him, I'm impressed with him. aggressive. Very good on the ball as well. He can dribble with the ball. Aggressive. He's big as well, isn't he? One of those big, strong defenders. >> Yeah, I rate him highly. >> I see him Friday. It's his Forest Friday. Port Road. >> Is that Friday? No, you're going to that game. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Really? Yeah. Where you sitting? >> Uh, what do you mean? Where am I sitting? In my seat. >> Oh, where's your seat? >> Never mind. [laughter] >> Why is that a secret? >> Well, you like Joel. Won't tell us his address. >> Why do people want to know what I say? >> So you can get things signed. They can catch me at the front door, can't they? Not a problem. >> Is it a free course? Can you? >> Yeah. Very nice. >> Okay. Okay. Nice, mate. >> Uh, right. Okay. Where are we going now? Liverpool. How good can this I don't want to build them up too much. You know, we do that too often to young players, but um certainly exciting times at the moment for Real Liverpool fans. What did you make of last night? Is Rio your next superstar? H the perfect salah replacement? Martin's a Liverpool fan. So, let's say good morning and talk. Hi Martin. >> Good morning Gavity. Good morning Alan. You all right? >> Yeah, good. Thank you. >> Yeah, good, good. Um, what a performance that lad put in last night. Incredible, weren't it? Absolutely astonishing. Loved it. Um, yeah, I mean he's he's going to be a star. He really is going to be a star. He's his attitude towards the game, everything. It really means so much. And Liverpool fans, they adore him. They adore him. He's like, uh, yeah, he's he's going to do so well for us. So, lot of maturity. >> What else did you What else did you enjoy about the game, mate? Conceding three goals. Is that a worry? >> It is a little bit. I mean, I've got to be honest with you, Gabby. I love that night. I really do. Um, and he's done so much for us, >> but you can tell now he's started to kind of make the mistakes and, you know, it's it's sad to see, but, you know, it's it's time for the young ones to step up. I mean, you got the only he's he's uh currently injured, isn't he? Uh the new Jack A has come. He's good, doesn't he? Talent. If we can keep hold of Vero, I'd be happy. >> Um you know what I mean? He's definitely worth his price tag. How much is he about 45 million or 55 or something? >> So yeah, he's um keeping hold of him. That's going to be key. Um cuz he's very very good. Very very good. >> How happy was he of scored? He needs to step up now, doesn't he? And get continuous goals in the side. >> Yeah, he does. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, it's it's boosting his confidence. Uh any goals that he gets. Uh what I have noticed with Verts, though, um and I come on the show, I think come on drive time the other day. Um what I've noticed with Verts is his physicality in the Premier League. He's finding it a bit rough. He is. I mean, um, truth be told, like I say, when he when he plays the sides abroad, you can really tell he he really gives his worth, doesn't he? And he puts in such a performance. I mean, you could argue um that last was, you know what I mean? They're not exactly a a top performing side and they shouldn't have really been in the Champions League anyway. >> Um, but [clears throat] >> they beat out. >> Yeah. Yeah. Look at the comeback. I mean, come on. That would crack us, wouldn't it? But they gave us a good run at towards the end. But when um when Gomez and uh Van Dijk come on I thought you know that was uh I didn't I didn't think much the change to be honest. You could really see that wide open because the find found it hard to get into the game. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Exciting times mun there as well. So listen I think Liverpool I said at the start of season I think they're in for a good season and I think they'll get stronger and stronger. Martin I've got to leave it there. Thank >> you Martin Liverpool fan. Rio Bravo. Do you like a bit of a western Gabby? You know, >> I do indeed. >> On the river. Rio Bravo. >> Clean Eastwood West back in the day. >> Spent loads in there. >> Yeah. My dad used to always have him on. >> And where is it? Gab. Uh, River Rio Bravo. Where? >> I don't know, mate. >> Oh, you do? I don't know. Come on. Come on. Where do you think it is? >> I don't know. >> Come on. Where is it? Where is it? >> Tennessee. >> Tennessee. >> Good guess now. >> Was it border? >> I don't know, mate. >> Border countries. Two countries. >> I don't know. I don't know. >> You do. You must do. >> I don't know. Come on. >> I don't know. What's your favorite western? >> Did you ever watch um Fist for the Dollars? >> Of course. It's Mexico and Mexico in America. Texas, right? >> We used to have that on repeat. Fist for the dollars. Clint Eastwood. >> Yeah. High plain. >> Um is it Muer sister Sara or something or Yeah, Clint Eastwood was just incredible, wasn't it? >> Magical career. He's had >> proper films like this younger generation. He's got behind the glass. >> They would know each one of these would do. >> They can't wait for June 7 to start, you know. [laughter]
