This is Katy. Morning. Morning Katy. >> Good morning fellas. How are we going? >> Good weekend. >> Lovely weekend. I was in Birmingham St. Andrews. >> I wish you sorry about that. >> Blues are flying. Gab >> 3. They beat QPR. >> Yeah, we had the Blues manager on yesterday. Al great guest yesterday. >> Chris Davis is wonderful. >> We'll be great guest. It's always the same. I'm not on. >> Are you joking? >> We'll sort that out. Don't worry about that. >> Listen, listen. We don't need any We don't need any guess. Yeah. >> No, I'm here. So, that's all you get. >> So, um what a night it was for Phil Foden and Rio Engamoa grabbing the headlines in the back pages this morning. Phil Foden with a hat-tick as Man City beat AK Athens 51. Rio Enga also on fire. Teen Spirit is the headline on the back page of the Daily Express. Fill your boots on the back page of the Sun. Rio Bravo on the back page of the Daily Star and Enamoa inspires Liverpool comeback. Um I mean in terms of let's talk about Enga Moa then. How can Liverpool continue to get the best out of him Gabby? >> Playing him, starting him, giving him runner games. When you're that age, you need to play consistent football. Yes, there's a lot of players in our position. Gakpo was back last night. Obviously, you got Barca, you've got Munos, you got so many players that can play there. Frim Punk as well who's got an injury. Well, can you play him again on the weekend? Give him backto-back games because he's a threat. He gets the ball and runs at defenders. You know what it's like, Al. The last thing a defender wants is a young 18, 19 year old with space behind them >> and with speed and with fitness. >> What I would say as well is when you get someone as talented that with that pace, don't don't take his space. Leave him oneonone. Don't try and make runs in behind and help him. Leave him. >> That's a pain for fullbacks is that like he's relentless. He just he'll take you on. All right, give me again take you on where maybe some of the older players. >> Well, let's take all right as an example. Sacka on his game is fantastic. Magnificent. You know, comes inside with that left foot, >> but he doesn't, you know, he won't take a fullback on like this. Yeah, on the outside. >> Yeah, he won't do it. He'll go to and then come back on his left foot. This fell is just all about getting in behind and >> that's the thing. Defenders know what Saka is going to do now. So do you think now Thomas Tukul should be thinking about Angamo over Saka? >> Um I wouldn't say that yet. I feel like there's some let's not disrespect Saka of how good a player he is but Ingamoa in the next internationals. Why can't he be in the squad and okay he gets 20 minutes. Let's see how you do in 20 minutes. Not to take Saka's place yet. Will he eventually 100% but not at the moment. I think an impact player for England. >> On to Phil Fodden then. Phil your boots on the back page of the Sun. No Harlon, no problem. On the back page of the Sun with the headline in the Daily Express, feelgood factor, feelgood factors for Enzo's men. I mean, >> right away I looked, I thought, where did Harland get? I didn't realize he didn't play, you know. >> No, he didn't play. >> And when I looked, I was shocked. I went, what's going on here? Then right away, bang, it stands out for Hatray. And I thought, good. That was my initial reaction. Good. >> But also, we need to see this more from Phil Fod. And I think, you know, week in week out, these kind of performances He's not in a game, Katy. You know, he's not playing regular. You know, you look at that star studded midfield. It's difficult. >> Sherky's in there, isn't it? It's difficult. But >> can we talk about his goal, please? Oh, that touch. >> Oh, >> is it out? Honestly, Shery now, he's just he's just enjoying football. That's why it's hard for Foden. But like I said to Alan earlier, because Smen is out for eight weeks, he'll get more of a chance now. Phil Foden, eight weeks. >> Eight weeks. Yeah. I'm not sure what he's done. >> But as well, Foden sometimes as a player, you go through a little bit of a rut. scoring that hattick out. It's like giving that boost, you know. I am I am still Phil Ven. I'm still the top player. >> Scored against as well. >> Exactly. So, he maybe just needed that boost and hopefully another player maybe. >> Well, again, it's all about squads. If City are going to go a long way in the Champions League and win it. >> Yes. >> You need, you know, you need great players. >> How nice to be able to rest Harden to play Rico Lewis at right back to make all these changes and still win comfortably. >> Yeah. >> Let's move on to Eric Tenhog, former Man United. >> Interesting. slamming the club's culture as toxic on the back page of the Daily Star. Views at 10. Uh Sir Jim broke his promises. Slacker Ron let the team down. United's chiefs fuel toxic rock with obviously Michael Carrick having to defend United saying we're not toxic. So Tenhog has shed light on his two and a half years at Man United. He was given a one-year contract extension after beating Man City's um 2024 it was in the FA Cup final. that was at Wembley. So he made it two domestic trophies in two seasons of Tenhog. So you know relatively successful. During the discussions from that time he said he was promised time. He was promised alignment saying they promised me loyalty. They promised me backing. They promised communication that we get aligned. We spoke about the issues but the promises they didn't keep. And one of his big requests was someone who was on fire last night, Mr. Scott Mctomin scoring two goals for Napoli last night. Then they sold him in the summer. He was then not given time. Sacked in October that season with United sitting >> so he wanted Tommy in the side or >> Yeah, he wanted them to keep him but then they ended up selling him. So do these false promises represent a toxic culture at United? >> I just think Manchester United have been there for 18 months and the the expectations even in the training every day is just is so high. Everyone expects United to beat everyone every game, you know, that that's the sort of fan base they have. Uh I I found at home you had to really start off well to get the fans going away from home. They were brilliant, great away support, but the expectations are so high. I don't know. It's difficult. You know, you look so so many clubs have spent a lot of money and never, you know, they've not dominated, have they? City are now in trouble because I won't go through all that again. Liverpool have been up and down, up and down, up and down. It's not easy. Man United, when you take that job, you must be dafted as you think, I'm in there for six, seven years. You know, it's all about results. If you don't get the results, you're under pressure. The crowd at home are on your back. Um, you know, you're on, it's a short time frame where you need instant success and you've got a load of stars there and Fergie is the only one I know can control like 30, 28, 30 players and control them when they're not playing. There's my 11. The other the other 15 are saying, "Why am I not why?" He controls all that. Some fans can't. >> Some scathing comments. >> Yeah. So this is So Tenhog also spoke about Ronaldo um saying that he let the team down and he let me down. According to Tenhog, Ronaldo pulled out of training sessions, did not get his heart rate raised to the required level when he trained. He goes on to say, I confronted him with this, saying, Ronnie, >> everyone wants to work for you to bring you into the right position, but if you can't bring yourself into the box, you can't. >> Yeah, I can't I can't I can't go with Tennag on this one. >> I'm sorry. I can't. Ronaldo, his his career, his record. You tell me he's he's played at 90% all these, you know, last 20 years. >> Wow. What it is for me is that like Tenhog's talking like Ronaldo's 21. He was 36, 37 when he was that Manchester United under Tenhog. >> To be playing at that age is a plus. The older players always got away with like a training like less running. Okay, look after them. You don't just get injured. You want Ronaldo to run around like a young Marcus Rashford. >> Well, he's saying here that he wasn't capable to do this. He ran neither in possession nor out of possession. The reason was because he didn't prepare himself. >> No. No. Ronaldo now he's talking the more the more you tell me what he said he's talking out his >> backside. Yeah. >> Sorry tag. >> So why why do you think he's doing that? Is he just got something against Ronaldo? Ronaldo's going to have his say is >> it two years since he's spoken about it. So he's obviously I don't know if it's a new book. I don't know if it's a an exclusive. He's getting a few quid. I don't know. He shouldn't need the money. But from what I hear him saying, get lost. That's what it's like managing one of the biggest clubs in the world. And also I look at like as as an ex player and I look at like when I was younger and some of the older players some of the older players didn't even train till the Friday now those 36 37 and he's never going to be pressing in training. He's never going to be like running as much as the other players. He's thinking can I get another year? Can I just like score goals? That that's what Ronaldo was at that age what he is now. You think Messi would have been running around at 36 if he when he was at PSG? I think it's easy for him to get headlines by having a go with Ronaldo. I I you cannot say Ronaldo does not prepare for games. That's ridiculous. >> I mean, his daily routine is ridiculous. What he eats, how he train, you could imagine how we used to do all every footballer done this where it's like three teams of six for instance, and it's possession, you lose the ball, you got to get the ball um off the other 12 players or whatever. You cannot picture Ronaldo for the last 10 years ever being a player who's pressing to get the ball back. >> He's not gonna do that in training. That isn't that he's not prepared. He's just saving his body thinking I just want to score goals. I want to score goals. I'm a goal scorer now. >> He's probably never pressed. >> When you talk about Manchester United big the managers, great managers. Ten Hag doesn't come anywhere close, isn't he? >> Doesn't come anywhere close. So, I'm sorry. He's He's It must be a new book coming out. I'm >> know it's done in a exclusive interview. >> Yeah, exactly. I hope he got a few quid cuz uh he won't be doing too many more. Right. 630 Katy. Thank you. >> Thank you.
