"VERY FOOLISH!" Spurs fan SLAMS Gabby Agbonlahor for BELITTLING Spurs after first League win!
Spurs fan Gav calls out Gabby Agbonlahor over his dismissal of Spurs after their first league win
The video recaps Tottenham's first Premier League win of the season and James Maddison's return, then Spurs caller Gav challenges Gabby Agbonlahor's view that Spurs are nowhere near top-six material. Agbonlahor points to Spurs' poor 2026 league record, while the host worries about their goal supply.
- I never doubted my quality, and my main focus is being fit and available — He had gone nearly 18 months without a start and had been through some dark days, so this start was special for him.
- It is wrong to rule Spurs out of the top six after only seven games — There are still more than 30 games left, the team is still gelling, and it is foolish to conclude so early.
- Spurs were held back by a board and chairman reluctant to spend and by two managers who did not fit the club, but now they have a good manager and an almost new squad that needs time — The current problems should not be reduced to players being useless, because the new signings do not yet know each other's movements.
- Kulusevski made a late run and found no one in the box, which shows his new team-mates do not understand his movement yet — Old team-mates such as Kane knew what Kulusevski would do and made runs early, but many current players have never played with him and need time to build that understanding.
- Spurs should not be taken seriously as a top-six side, and the mockery aimed at them is backed by facts — In 2026 they have only four league wins and two home league wins, and they were the last team in the top four leagues to win a league game.
- Spurs' biggest concern is scoring consistently because they have no reliable source of goals beyond Maddison — Maddison cannot score every week, Ben Davies cannot score every week, Solanke still looks short of form, and it is unclear where else the goals will come from.
- Kulusevski can get the goals for Spurs — He is a fantastic footballer, but he has to stay fit.
- This call is why people think Spurs are a laughing stock, as anyone would think they had just beaten Manchester City — Spurs have only won an ordinary game, but the fans are celebrating as if it were a huge scalp.
- Spurs should be allowed to enjoy this win and others should not spoil it — It was their first win of the season and only their second home league win in 2026, so such chances are rare and worth celebrating.

minutes past eight tuesday october the 20th it was lift off at last for roberto to serbia and spurs as they finally registered their first premier league win of the season. Jamie O'Hara and Jason Cundey were on watch-along duties last night on their brand new YouTube channel sports bar, The Lock-In. And as ever, when it comes to Spurs, the boys were on top form but it matters what's a goal what's a goal James Madison get in there you beauty oh don't fail Van Hecker he's in the box don't fail don't fail don't fail don't fail Don't foul! No! Ah, no! Let's go! Coventry! Summer Frank in that bar! It's amazing! Do you know what? He looks like he'd be enjoying life in a championship because no disrespect to Coventry come on right off your pop son you say the championship it's 2-1 Spurs oh yes not everyone was as impressed as jimmy o'hara jake as texas say spurs beat coventry at home and finally win a match when's the Open Top Bus Parade. James Madison making his first start for Spurs since April 2025 and he was back with a bang. What a goal he scored, an absolutely brilliant finish. He spoke to TalkSport after the game about his journey back to fitness. I've never doubted my quality, I just want to be available you know, my main focus is just being fit and available. It's been a tough 18 months for me, I think it's been nearly 18 months since my last start. That was a special feeling for me today to be out there from the start because it's been some dark days in there, not in Marbella but previously and I had all my family and all my friends who obviously are from Coventry where I grew up here today so that was a special moment for me there'll be a few angry with me up in the box and I go and see them after but it was all worth it yeah. And he was terrific in the time that he was on the pitch as well I thought. Head and shoulders above pretty much everybody else. Mohamed Koudis as well I thought was a very good performance for Spurs and great to see Kulusevski back. So what do Spurs fans think? I think 03717 2223 is the number. 223324 is the number to call. Gav is a Spurs fan he's just done that because he wants to have a word with you Gabby! Gav good morning to you. Morning Gavin. Morning Jeff. Right Gav, it's bad enough that we've got to put up with O'Hara at night. We don't need you in the morning. Spurs have got to stop living rent free inside your head. Why? Well, about an hour ago you had your man on and at the end of the conversation you were having with him, you just went, you got your little bit of paper out and you go, let it go. Let it go. Are those not No, no, no. Listen, I get that life's not fair and Villa can't spend on this and Tottenham can spend on that, but at the end of last season, who prioritised the European match over a Premier League match? It's to disperse three points and keep them in a division. Villa, you've got a problem with Spurs, take it up with Una Henry, all right? So what do you think, mate, Gav? No, no, no, hang on. Then it was like, oh, you know will spurs finish in the top six you're like no not a chance at all and it's like well hang on a second we're seven games in we've still got over 30 games to play but you're rubbish i yeah hang Hang on, we have been rubbish. We've had problems. We've had a board... Oh, it's the board. Hang on. It's the board. We've had a board and a chairman with a severe allergic reaction to spending money, okay? And we've had two really bad managers who they're not necessarily bad managers but they're bad for the club they weren't right now we've got a manager hang on now we've got a manager who is good for the club oh and he's bought in he's bought in almost an entire uh full full squad okay and they need to learn how to play with each other and a clear example of that did you watch the game last night i did unfortunately Okay, hang on. Kulusevsky came on with about 10 minutes to go, nine minutes to go. Within five minutes, he done one of these trademark lung-busting runs down the right-hand wing he got to the corner flag he looked up no one was in the box player runs down the wing there's so many there they're right there there is so many instances in the past where the ball has gone towards Kulishevsky and both Hume Winson and Harry Kane were like, we know who the ball is going to, we know where he's going, we know what he's going to do. Before he's even got the ball, Harry Kane and Hume Winson are running down the middle of the pitch because they know where the ball is going to come and they want to be there. Right, all these other players, they've never played with Kulishevsky. They don't know his movements, they don't know what he's like so it's going to take time for them to gel together because you can't say that Mamouche is a useless player. He's not, he's good but he needs to gel with the rest of the players around him and that's going to take time. So when you're sitting there saying, oh no it's impossible for Spurs to get a top six you know. Can't you do that with the accent again? I enjoy the accent. You're making yourself you know stand very foolish. I'm just but I did. Yeah but mate you're coming across like an AM version of Jamie O'Hara. I did mention though didn't it? It's your fourth league victory in 2026 two home league wins in 2026 you're the last team in the top four leagues to win a league game these just facts aren't they can I not state facts? We've had problems in the past oh okay but that's right hang on now hang on that's like saying Arsenal haven't won a league title since 2004 facts well who's the current who's the current um league champions albeit with a lot of help from VAR and PGMOL all right so no team no team anywhere is guaranteed success all right no no team is guaranteed success on a on a constant regular basis you know I mean every team is going to have good times and bad times yeah you two you two are getting to sound like Cundee and O'Hara I mean my joy to win mate my concern gap for Spurs would be whether they're going to score consistently or not you know Madders isn't going to do that every week Ben Davis isn't going to score every single week and I'm not sure where else the goals come from you know Solanke still looks like he's a bit short of it um that would be my my concern Gav thinks Kulaseski will get the goals yeah well I think he's a fantastic footballer he's got to stay fit Gav, thanks very much for the call Cheers Gavin Grant by the way he says ironic Spurs fans losing their heads over this he's a West Ham fan they need to keep quiet, realise they're level, lucky not to be in the championship he says well I'm at it, keep it up Gabby it's facts Lewis says everyone's saying the only big Coventry are the same people that rip us every week for not winning at home it doesn't matter who it It was getting a win at home. The first one of the season is important injuries coming back and some confidence. Lewis, you are absolutely spot on. And Tom in Essex says that call is why everyone thinks Spurs are a laughingstock. Anyone would think they'd just beaten Manchester City incredible these were Spurs or Arsenal fans I don't know Gabby sick of them let them have their day they've won their first game of the season they're right to celebrate how the coaching staff want to jump on the pitch when Villa won their first game of this season I bet you were celebrating weren't you yeah Una Emery and the coaching staff were about to run on the pitch and hug the players Una Emery's always about to run on the pitch he's always about to run on the pitch to shout at the players not to celebrate just shout at the players let them celebrate I mean there may not be that many more opportunities to celebrate to be fair it's their second home league win in 2026 do you think they can get a third before the year's over so if it's only their second league home win in 2026 they deserve to be able to celebrate it maybe some fireworks you know coming up we'll turn our attention to the liverpool winning two in a row and focus on florian verts and weather whether we might be finally seeing the best of him. That's next.
