Adrian, I know you was at um Anfield watching the game, but you've seen the videos of the Etihad and there's so many empty seats and 40,000 were there last night when it can hold 61 to 21,000 free seats. Is it come to the stage where City should be giving tickets away to neutrals to come and watch? >> How how many were there? Did you say >> 40,000? >> Yeah, it's not bad crowd midweek. Um I don't think that's too bad at all. I think sometimes like with Wembley for example, sometimes when a stadium isn't completely full, we tend to think that there's a big problem, but actually 40,000 on a midweek when Man City in a normal season, and we know this isn't going to be a normal season for them when they get a punishment or when the appeal happens, whatever, in a normal season, they will have a lot of games to play. There'll be a lot of traveling to do. And they don't have I mean Allan just nailed it there talking about Man United and Liverpool having loads of fans from all over the world coming to see random games. That's how their seats get filled up and Manchester City, they don't really have that history of that. So I I I see that as the reason why. But I think there's also a big turnoff among city fans towards UEFA. They've been booing the anthem for years because UA they feel they've been badly treated by UEFA and that's now started in the Premier League because they feel whether rightly or wrongly they feel they've been hard done by by the Premier League. So there's a bit of a turnoff factor for some City fans when it comes to UEFA and now with the Premier League as well. But 40,000 isn't bad. >> So Gabby's caused even more rage this morning. Yeah, believe it or not more. >> This time the City fans are not happy. >> Oh, here we go. 03717234 is the number to call and have you say. He basically he basically said it's a disgrace. 40 20,000 seats un you know unsold people that Man City champions of the world can't sell their seats out. What a joke Gab you give them a break will you? >> Oh no that's >> Tony has given us a call on 0371723 Tony morning >> morning tone. Hello lads. How we doing? >> Good. Tony, >> come on man. I got up at 3:00 on Saturday morning to go and watch the game at versus Twitch, which is decent Mr. Brazil. >> Yeah. >> Last night after a 14 hour 45 hour working day, I parked up just south of watched on the iPad. Do you honestly think I want to work that many hours or I'd rather have been at the Etiad? You'll find out our football support on Saturday morning when we turn up and take over Villa Park for you, mate. >> Good luck with that, mate. Do you know Do you know what the attendance last night was at Molyneu? Walls versus Pompei. Molyneu hose 30,000. There was 29,000. Only a,000 spare seats. Last night, Manchester City 21,000 spare seats. >> Yeah, >> that's okay with you. I would I it's not great, but it wouldn't if I if my circumstances were different, I'd be there. Maybe there's a lot of people who work night shifts. >> What about all the other fan bases then? Just Manchester City fans work nights. >> Tony, tell me this, Tony. Right. And and I said, look, I've said it's pro it's maybe because Manchester United have so many uh foreigners come for games to Manchester to go to Old Trafford. Um what is it what is the difference then? United wouldn't have with the great respect. United probably wouldn't have 20,000 spare cities, would they? Champions League. Why is that then Tony? Would you I understand your predicament by the way, don't get me wrong, but why would City not sell 20,000 whereas United can. >> I I think City fans have to pick their their games that they go to. Go back a week to the PSG one. It was filled to the rafters. Nobody mentioned that one, >> did they? >> It's not cheap. I I travel up and down south to the games. >> The cost is horrific sometimes. >> Yeah. >> Well, can't can't city do something about that though and and lower the prices. >> It's what a fuel >> and lower the ticket prices. >> Actually, they actually they probably could. The ticket my ticket cost £41 on Saturday mate. It's not the ticket prices. It's the fact that everything else of my wage has to be accounted for as well. No, I get that. >> I'm not I'm not in a privileged position. Well, I I know where the real Bravo is, by the way, Mr. Brazil. I I'm not in a privileged position like you, Gabby. You can spend money. >> How do you know I can spend money? >> How do you know I can spend money? >> Because you have a piece of sporting equipment that apparently costs over 250 quid for a paddle. >> Got it for free, mate. >> Did it was that a lucrative sponsorship endorsement? No, no. I got it for free off a sponsorship. Listen, I I totally agree what you're saying. Listen, it's it's it's not easy to get to games, but 21,000 spare seeds for a Champions League game for a football club that's won the Champions League once. I was surprised to see >> I I I wasn't because it's H Athens, >> right? Okay. So, basically, it was down to the opposition and you've got to count you. Yeah, Tony, we get it. Look, you know, you're right. and you're traveling from south to north. It costs a lot of money and you have to budget your money. So Tony, we're not having to go at you. We're just trying to work out. I'm trying to think if Celtic were playing in in Europe, would there be 20,000 spare seats? Maybe maybe five or 6,000 in a in a Europa League game because they're used to the Champions League. >> Let me tell another City fan, see what James thinks about it. James, how you mate? Morning. >> Morning, James. >> Morning, Gabby. Morning. You're all right, guys. >> Yeah, good. Thank you. >> Good. Good. No, just a quick obviously a city fan. Yeah, love the show as always, guys. Um, >> just a quick is obviously the rise of City Success is obviously undeniably there's no questions about it. You know, it's financially interjectured and all that sort of injecture. It's all that stuff. We get that. That's fine. But don't forget City however many years ago, not that long ago compared to United were a working man's club. You know, East South Midland, East South Manchester, that's that's what it was. The rise has come like an escape on a graph. It shut up. people workingass people don't have that money to be going three three times a week you know your Champions League you're succeeding in every area of every competition it's difficult then to go through one game a week like you said about Molyneu Wolves one game a week they're playing >> do they realistically what he's saying on about Wolves and Po >> yeah they don't play one game a week they championship >> no >> yeah but they don't play three games a week don't they ain't competing in in high-end competitions like the championship >> they play three games a week but they don't play >> they won't you know, Champions League of stuff, but with that Championship, they come thick and fast. >> I think it is, James. Like, obviously, you haven't got the fan base, you know, like say the same the same issues Manchester City fans have got, everyone's got, but there's so many fans waiting for tickets they can't get, you know? >> Oh, exactly. I could agree like you're saying about United, Liverpool, stuff like that. Yeah, your midweek games, they don't they do sell out. They of course they sell out and there's no denying that. But they're getting flights in from Norway, Ireland, stuff like that. But that's come from that success of so many years, hasn't it? drew in fans from all over the world. We might have we might be in that position in 15 years time if we carry on the way we're going. Who knows? But right now it's the rise of our success, isn't it? We're in the early stages of it's only been the last sort of 8 to 10 years. And you know, United and Liverpool have dominated for ages and maybe in 15 years we have this conversation and it might be 60,000. >> All right, James, let me move on. Let me take one quick another one. Allan's a City fan. Allan, welcome. Morning. >> Morning, Alan. >> Good morning, GENTS. I WAS AT THE ETIAD LAST NIGHT AND I'M a courier offer. I had to race back from Scotland and I may I missed the first 10 minutes of the game, right? What you guys have got people have got to understand is right, we've just played PSG record attendance for us. We played Ipswich Ipsswitch down a low division Premier League team, record attendance when then we're playing at home last night against a substandard European side where we knew there was going to be changes. We've also got another game at home next week and then a game I think we're playing some like four or five games in 10 or 12 days at the Etias. We're a workingclass fan base. People have got to go I can't really afford that. And if you're going to pick a game, are you going to go and watch PSG full strength or you going to go and watch the second string against AFK on a Wednesday night, but you know they're probably going to win four out of 5. >> Take your point. I take your point. I take your point Allan. Thank you. Allan a City fan. It's finance. Finance. Simple as that. And I I agree with that, but >> just find the money. >> No, but Al, I'm not saying that, but that's not just Man City fans with finance. It's the whole country. It's the whole UK. Every club, it's hard to get money to go to games. But if you can't go to a game, big massive fan bases like Villa, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, there's so many fans waiting for tickets. They they're on the Look at Arsenal. There's there's tens of thousands waiting on the season ticket list. Mind you, um I'm looking forward to that Villa City game. That'll be a big game. >> G take points of them. >> You you're still building that stand at Villa. >> Yes. Yes. Yes. I think Villa um get a result. >> You think? Yeah. Get something right. Score draw. >> Yes. >> Now for more on City's performance last night. Don't forget City and England legend Cal Walker is hosting Drive today alongside Andy Goldstein. He's in for the full three hours. So don't miss that one. >> Coyle H. >> Villain City of course live on talk and Gabby isn't going. What? What you mean you're not going? Say again. >> You're not going. >> What? Tonight? >> No. Villa City. >> Villa City? No, I'm not going. I can't make it. I can't make >> Can't afford it. >> Oh god. See, now that you see that's kicking that's kicking the poor fan right in the You know what? I'm a kicking the That's kicking them right now. I'm saving my money. I'm saving my money for Barcelona. >> Gabby, you can't do that. We all know you're minted. >> I'm not minted, mate. 70 grand. I spent it in Vegas. >> Unbelievable. mented and he's now having a go at you not out of order. Up next, we bring you a story shocking coming from uh horrible story coming out of Snooker. Horrible. Yeah.
