Huge Premier League fix to focus on Chelsea v Spurs. Right. Introducing home corner tonight live from West London with none other than Don CFC. You right Don >> at the Chelse. >> What's happening boys? >> All right. Let's have it, man. Let's have it. I'm coming with a little bit more vim today, Jace. >> All right, we'll see. Let's go to our next contestant in your way corner from North London, Ricky Sacks from the Last Word on Spurs podcast. Right. Sick. >> Hello, boys. How are we? >> I'm all right. Right. Let's get straight into it, boys. Where do we start? I go look I start with Dom because you got to be confident obviously going into this one. Spurs is you know this this is a game that you always love winning in but I are you confident? You know what? Silently I am. Silently I am. You know last time I came on here I was complaining about the lack of midfield. Um, I think having Kaisedo back is massive for us cuz I think we're going to dominate that midfield and that's going to be the first step in making sure that we absolutely kill Tottenham, you know, cuz I feel like there's a team right now in the big six who are due a real spanking. You know what I'm saying? So, it needs to be Tottenham first and then it needs to be Man United not long after. I know we've got Liverpool away that's going to be a little bit tougher, but we need to make sure that we get hold of that midfield first of all and from there I could just see our attack just just blitzing you guys. >> Rick Rick I've got Yeah. Go on. Sorry. Go on. Go. >> What can I say boys? Listen, this is what won the last 30 years at Stanford Bridge. You know, I'll be sitting here live if I can come here and say we're going to blitz Chelsea, but I do they concede a huge amount of goals as much as score as many as they do. So >> 13 goals they've conceded in the Premier League. Yeah, I do I do think listen we've got a great chance of scoring up there. It's where we can just keep the back door shut. But um look, Chelsea are beatable. I'm not sure with Tottenham in front of the name or behind the name is another question. But listen, Chelsea definitely is susceptible definitely at the back. >> Do you feel though Rick? Right. Because like everyone's look everyone's expecting us to get beat right. They are >> record because the record mate >> because of the record and because of way >> well the way we started whatever but actually right we are playing all right. >> Yes we are. We are >> apparently you're playing the best football in the league. That's what I've been. That's what I've heard from you, Jamie. >> It's funny. Monday, Monday night was probably one of our worst performances of the season and we got the three points. If we play anywhere near like we played at Old Trafford, we've got a chance up there. I'm not I'm not denying the fact that look, our record at Stford Bridge is horrendous. But this is not Chelsea under Mourinho or under Angelotti. This is Alonzo still finding his feet and still trying to find his best team. team. I mean, I do think your front three is formidable, but I also look at your defense and think you've got definitely issues there at the back and you will concede goals. So, if Tom can go there, score a couple of goals. I'm not sure where the goals are coming from, but if we can defend, we've got a great chance of getting something there. I really do believe that. >> Dom, he's gone to a back four last couple of games. It it definitely feels a little bit more secure. We can see a set piece against Brenford. ever and I thought Everton were terrible to be honest with you, but I I do get the feeling that he's kind of found a little bit more of a settled system now the 4231. What are your thoughts on that? >> No, I think I think I think it's been really good. You know, I think our right side really I know we've conceded quite a lot of goals, but Josh has been excellent most of this season. Um, just having that pivot, having that stability in the midfield has helped us so much on and off the ball because number one, we've been able to actually have control of the ball. We're not having, you know, 28% possession like against Brighton or 35% against against uh was it Fulham and whatnot. You know, we're actually able to keep the ball and off the ball. It just seems like Henderson and Kaisedo know exactly how to screen and help our back line. It's no surprise that Coowwell and Laqua have looked so much, you know, so competent now that they've actually got protection in front of them. You know, don't it don't matter how good your center backs are or how good your backline is. If you haven't got that protection in front of them, you're cooked. You know, we we saw it when Man City didn't have Rodri. they really struggled in that in um during that period. You know, they were conceding goals left, right, and center. Yes, we went away, we didn't beat them, but ultimately they really struggled during that time. So, for me, the biggest change so far has been that midfield. Um and like I said, the the defense at the minute, you know, we're kind of building something there. And I'm really happy to see Josh getting opportunities um in the team right now. >> Yeah, Ricky, um another relegation fight. Looks like it's it's it's coming. >> Shut up, Gundy. Stop that. Oh, I'm not I'm not finished asking the question yet, >> but >> looks like Well, look, you could be in every chance you'll be in the bottom three again come Monday morning, right? Every these are facts, right? These are facts. Um, and another season fighting relegation. Do you think the fact that you've been in a relegation battle last two seasons will will leave you in goodstead? >> We've certainly got the bottle for it. I think so. I don't think Listen, I think look B was saying it earlier. I think based on our performances this season, the position that we find ourselves on the table is a bit of an outright lie and Lampard said that on Monday night as well. So look, I've got no doubt about it. Even if we don't get anything at Stanford Bridge, um I'm still confident we've got the right man in place. I'm still confident with the squad if we can add a striker to on the 1st of Jan rather than 31st of Jan, we've got a really good chance of having a decent campaign this season. But it all comes come down to guys who's going to score the goals. You know, I've got really deep concerns about Dominick Sileni. I think he is getting sharper but I don't look at him and think there's 10 15 goals in him. I hope Marmush can contribute. I hope players from midfield the likes of Gallalagha. Hopefully he can also help the team. Obviously Fernandez will be an interesting one to see if he brings in back into the side. It's been a difficult time for him so far. But look, I mean look, I don't need to try and sit here and kidney well about how difficult it will be at Stanford Bridge. The record is a problem. It's a massive issue. It has been for so many Tottenham teams better than this one. So look, if we can go there, give a good account of ourselves, we've got every chance of getting something. You know, I do think this Chelsea side, for as much as I keep saying, they do score a lot of goals. They do look defensively vulnerable. I think we saw that with Hull recently at the stadium. >> We changed things have changed last two games. There is definitely a change. >> Jad's been back. Moes is back last two games. Moes having no masters in goal is a big I think factor as well. >> That is that is a very good point by the way. That is a very good point. >> You know, you know what it is for me, Jace? Yeah. I want this I want this to be a slow killing. I want it to be a a game where we score at least two goals in that first half. Don't let you lot have a little sniff. You know, I saw your game at Anfield away. You had a lot of chances in that game. You should have walked away with with a W to be honest. Same thing against United at Old Trafford as well. I don't want Tottenham to be in this game at all. I want you guys to be on the floor where you realize in that first half that the game's lost already. And that's only going to happen by us scoring first. What we've been doing a lot this season >> start fast and I think Chelsea have started fast in recent games. They've got goals early on. Same in the second half. You seem to get goals early on. So look, if we can obviously thought you in terms of the start of the first half, start of the second half, we've got every chance of getting something. But I do go back to what I just said a minute ago with the goalkeeping situation there. I have got my concerns about Kinsky in general for us as well. But I look at the backup goalkeeper for Chelsea. Forgive me. I don't think he's played that many times in the Premier League if at all. So, we have to use that as a bit of an advantage and hopefully put some pressure on the backup. >> Don't don't talk about my Goliath like that. You know, Penders is 6'7. Yeah. He's not a joke, man. You know what I'm saying? He's not a joke, man. He's coming he's coming on here and listen Martinez might have to fight for his place when he comes back. You know what I'm saying? Don't sleep on Penders. >> Don't sleep on Penders. He's the next one up for Belgium. >> The thing with Chelse at the moment, there's no John Terry there, there's no Frank Lampard there. You know, these players from what it used to be like a London derby. It'll be interesting to see who is channeling that messaging to your players because look, I think for you guys, this is no respect to you. This is the biggest game of your season. You know, for us, it's always Arsenal home and away that is the bigger bigger London derby for us. Chelsea's become bigger since the battle of the bridge. There's no doubt about that. But this is still down, I'd say, in terms of the priorities to where it is beating Arsenal. But look, I think we've seen it with Pettino in his first season. He got results against Chelsea and Arsenal that really kept fans believing this was going to be the great start of a new project. So if we can get Stanford Bridge and we've got ass on the horizon in December, you know, we've got a real good chance of having a really good season under deservy despite the fact we have made a horrendous start to the season. But I'll go back to what Lamp parted on Monday. The position the table is an outlier at the moment. We are playing well like Jamie said earlier. But we've got to start, you know, putting points. >> We just never beat Chelsea though, Rick. That's the like, do you know what I mean? Like it's hard to do as Scars are off when you're playing Chelsea. >> That's reality. >> The reality is is we always just get bloody beat. It's so It's painful. What do you think the score go? Give us a score prediction, Dom. What you saying? >> I I'll say I'll say I'll say 3-1. 3-1. Chelse, I think you'll probably nick a goal, Rick. >> I'll say 3-1. >> I'll go 1-1. I'll go one. I feel your nicks out there, so I know 1-1. >> 1-1. It ain't going to be 1-1. There's no way it's going to be 1-1. I'm going to go 33. >> J, you scoring three goals for us. >> I know, mate. Mush is back. >> Score free the other day against commentary. >> Yeah. Do you know they're leaky, mate? He keeps saying, "Oh, we're all right now. We're all right." Well, we'll see. >> Moyes being back is a massive It's no coincidence. The last two games we have looked so much better. Moyes is an absolute >> Yeah. >> Yeah. He's a he's a powerhouse and it looks like he's he's got it right. Look, our front four of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, Pedro Netto, and J Pedro, you ain't playing against a better front four than that. That is right up there. >> I have that argument. >> I will. And we we will create we will create chances. We win this game 3-1. >> Uh boys, we'll see you at the weekend. Eh, it's going to be good fun. >> Cheers, boys. >> The Chelse Ricky Saxs and Don CFC.
