And then this evening, Manchester United against Spurs, which is great because Jamie O'Hara is gonna be live on the radio at that time. So, uh, may the meltdown be beautiful. >> Yeah. And you know what? There's some really great news for Spurs and they haven't had much this season. Koshvski after 500 days back. >> Well, he's fit to be in the squad. I mean, it feels like forever ago he was, you know, playing for Spurs and doing well. Young player. Um, they've missed him. I think they really have missed him. the directness of the way he plays. He was playing really well before he had a a serious knee injury. So, some good news there for Spurs. >> Yeah. I mean, how long does it take for a player to get back up to speed? >> Well, >> after that break. >> Well, 500 days is nearly a year and a half. I mean, I had three knee operations when I was at Chelsea in a in a period of about a year and a half, two years. and and although I played in between that I kept having um setbacks along the way with my knee and this lad hasn't had it. It's not been a setback. It's literally one big set back and that's it and he's not played. >> But yeah, so thankfully and hopefully for him cuz I'm sure in his head he would have felt maybe it's the end for me as a young player. >> Well, honestly since Kulfki got injured things have gone really downhill from there. They've really messed him up >> and he was one of their better players before you know got injured. So yeah, so a big game and and a lot of eyes will be on Old Trafford today >> for sure. I mean, who needs a win more? Manchester United Spurs are foolham today. There's a lot of teams going, "We need it." >> Yeah, >> I think Spurs. >> Well, the the news today on Manchester United versus Spurs is whoever if it goes to a victory for either team is how dire the situation is at either club. You know, cuz Spurs are bottom as we know. >> I know. >> Manchester United have to win today. >> Yeah. And but you you got to and Tottenham have to get something. They have to show way more than they have. >> Just listen to Roberto and everything will be fine. >> Well, if they get beat in a certain way cuz I I I can't see and I've watched Spurs probably more than any team this year uh live. Um and I just can't see a way of them winning a game at the minute. I know we've had this big break so hopefully you can have a bit of reset and I know that all the international players have been away and they come back and isn't a great period for the manager but they have to show something way more than what we've witnessed in the opening games. >> Way more. >> Yeah. Um do you think leads can get something from Arsenal today? I mean they were almost humiliated by Arsenal. But I was talking to Tom, our news reader, who's a Leads fan, and and we were just chatting about the two results of uh last season in the Premier League where Leadeds got beat 5-0 at the Emirates and 4-0 at home by Arsenal. So Leadeds obviously took a hell of a beating last year off of Arsenal. So it's a it's a it's a great test because they've started the season well. I mean, when I saw them against Newcastle, uh I thought they were really good leads. Took Newcastle apart. 4-1 at Ellen Road. Um had a number of draws, but have looked really competitive this year. They look a better team leads than last year. So, it' be interesting to see how they get on today. >> Yeah. And in terms of Manchester, >> I'm at the game. I'm going the game. >> Oh, you're going. >> Yeah. >> Lovely. Um, in terms of Manchester United, it's Carlos Biba expected to maybe get some today as well. So, actually, I'm looking going, okay, him being available could kickstart their season. >> Well, he's energy and they've lacked energy in the center of midfield and that is exactly his game. You know, anybody I when I first saw him at Brighton, I came away and thought, "Wow, that lad can get around the pitch. He can make things happens. He makes tackles and sometimes a little bit reckless, but for a young player, he's got a huge amount of energy and running power. >> Let's hear from Michael Carrick now, Manchester United head coach. He says Spurs are better than their performances. Yeah, points wise, um I think they they've they've played a lot better than that times and um when you look at the games, um they're a very good team with some very good players. Obviously, um assembled a squad this summer that's um a little bit different to to to maybe what they've had. So, um but they're a good team just because of of of the points. So, I understand the question, but um we're not going into expecting um anything less than than their best version of what we know what they're capable of. And actually, they have shown for for a large part, but probably haven't had the results that maybe the performances deserve. >> All right, Carrick, let's get you to spec Savers. [laughter] >> Well, look, I understand it as an opposing manager, you try and be respectful and you talk and obviously playing for the club, you know, but he's not watching the Spurs that he's talking about there. They're [laughter] a better team than what you've seen because they are not. They have been awful this season. I'm sorry. I can't go along there. Going to go go along with that. The Spurs haven't been good. They've had moments in games, but not much more. I don't think Spurs fans will look at and say, "Well, yeah, we have, you know, we've been better than where we are." I think they'll be looking and going, "We've been dreadful." >> I think I think >> we are exactly where we >> It's that media training to a folk. And I think like you're just sitting there talking men, Michael. Well, let's let's [laughter] be real. You're just trying to be nice. And it's >> I mean, I'd love to be nice and be really, you know, you'd want to say, "Yeah, he's got a point, but you haven't. That isn't the point. Spurs have not been better than where they are in the league." >> Because both Manchester United and Spurs are crying out for wins. Is it this going to be a draw tonight? >> Well, I mean, it's hard to I I think United Manchester United will win. Only of what I've seen of Spurs. Yeah. >> Because Spurs have to show something way different from what we've seen. And I I haven't seen that. >> Yeah. Um listen, it's all coming up for you tonight. That's the half past 5 game tonight. Uh you can hear all the updates on Talk Sport. Game Day Live is here at half past 5 with Jamie O'Hara, the sports fan.
