they ended up comfortably beating Liverpool 3-0 Very competitive game, there wasn't a tremendous amount in it sensational yes brilliant really played very well um he started to i felt started to prompt his team and then of course you say the decision, the big decision Ali, I thought he played very well particularly the first yellow card the first book and i think is that on and us in the first half the first one, i mean i don't know what i don't know what you heard there really and so i don't know if it was his knee or he got a clonk on the knee or something or on the shin i thought he caught him in his foot did he did he right well that one seemed a little bit soft but of course because it's the first because it was his first yellow you end up shaking already yeah on with it but i just think mate when you're on that yellow in a game like that you can't dangle a leg anywhere pal you just cannot and and i thought that was a bit of a daft challenge from him to do that and uh yeah lots of people lots of people after the game we're all going there's a lot of different opinion on that a lot of people agree with you saying never as never yeah that's what i should never have gone that's what i thought i just thought it was a stupid attack a challenge i thought it was a risky challenge and by the way have i ever done that myself yes and been sent off stupidly but i i felt he shouldn't have he you don't he's quick enough to go shoulder to shoulder with docker yeah yeah he's quick enough to go shoulder to shoulder and i know his game is about winning he looked powerful didn't he a couple of occasions he looked powerful can buy people grabbing merch as well as I've seen him do it absolutely you know the one thing I'd say is when I said to you when I came in here back at 5, 6 o'clock the quality of goal I don't think off the top of my head I don't think I've seen three better goals in one game yeah they were great they were good and hard absolutely outstanding finishes mate and Harland he'd missed the one with his right hand. Two minutes before it. He'd missed that one, hadn't he? And I'm sitting there commentating and you end up saying, you do, you know he's the sort of guy, he just doesn't get disappointed if he misses. He shakes his head and you can see that he grits his teeth and he's a bit frustrated but he just gets on with it because he knows the next one and of course it comes on his left oh mate what a finisher I mean there's a wee deflection takes it away from Van Dijk exactly takes it away from Van Dijk and Van Dijk you can see he's actually taking a little step back yeah and that's where he gets his half yard and what a finish the pace of the ball beats the goalkeeper fantastic and then as you said at 1-0 and then obviously Liverpool down to 10 again was finished and when he He brings Doku on, who was brilliant. Everything you want from a wire player in a situation like that. He was brilliant. His goal was amazing. And every time he got the ball we're thinking off, you know, something's going to happen here because he was just looking so good. And then the third goal. How about him? Is he... He's tremendous. There's a question for our listeners, of course. Is he as two-footed? Is he the most naturally two-footed player we've seen for some time? Uh-huh. I can't think of it. I don't think I've seen anybody manoeuvre the ball with both feet quite as comfortably as that boy I mean it was a brilliant goal he's got an over straight away he lets it through him a wee flick back to him yeah he goes to hit it from pong buys it back on and he just rolls internet what a finish what a goal great go brilliant stuff yeah they were great mate okay so it's the perfect second one from six for mareska to start his city reign. Mareska spoke to the media after the game about the result, Andy boy and the outside noise regarding their charges. No, my friend, absolutely. You cannot imagine how happy I am. I don't care about. I'm here to try to prepare the games and win games, so I don't care about... I said many times hopefully I can speak about this situation when we're going to win the appeal. about it in there it's do you know i i and i hate i hate the whole thing mate i i just we need to get get it sorted as soon as possible because that i agree you know what i mean it's that i totally agree man and it's not going to happen mate because it's going to be an ongoing issue with this appeal. Not expecting to hear anything now for a couple of months or so, are we? Right, on the back of the finding them guilty, they've appealed that, so we're not expecting to hear anything definite from that and then after that obviously the sanctions have got to be put in place if there are going to be sanctions and then they'll appeal those so it's this is going to rumble on and it's not a good look for the league it's horrible it's a nightmare it's horrible and it and you walk out there and you see you see what was on the face of it a very good win at Anfield one of the toughest places always to go and play and then you think what's it going to be worth in a couple of months time might be worth nothing that so it's I'm like you listen you and I have watched the league ever since it got going we've played in it and normally you look we look afar at other leagues that have had issues never ever thought it would happen here I never thought for one minute what's going on here is incredible and it's a great shame at the end of the day but that's going to get thrown at them and leveled at them until everywhere they go the last 10 minutes all you heard when they were knocking it about pop pop pop pop one touch all you heard was then they're going to get that everywhere they go but listen Enzo Mariska and the players all they can do is control what happens today and tomorrow not what happened years ago so they've got to just keep trying to do what they do and they did it well yesterday superb yesterday mate okay guys 03717223344 you know the drill that is the number to call give us a call give us your views what did you make of the game yesterday jake's already texted in saying yesterday's route means nothing that really means nothing he says sham city do you agree with jake or was it just refreshing to let the football do the talking because they certainly did that when liverpool went down to 10 men's city different class to wear and as i said earlier the quality of goal was fantastic we want to hear from you in this up next we turn Right, we've been discussing the scenes at Anfield yesterday and want to hear what you've made of it. John is a Liverpool fan, wants to be safe. A very good morning. Thanks for calling, John. How are you this morning? Morning, John. Gents, how we doing? You OK? We're fine, John. We were at the game yesterday. Unfortunately not No, I was at home But Yesterday when you saw the scenes At the ground It just showed what a classless club Manchester City are, you know, holding up that banner saying in Mubarak we trust. Everybody's known this. You didn't need an investigation. It's common sense. City can't even fill the ground but yet shell out £300 million on a midfielder when they feel like it, on a full midfield this year. It's just ridiculous and yesterday, blesses our Kumas, we've got Kumas up front, and they can just bring in Docky whenever they want. Come on! John, what would you have expected... For the City fans to stick up. What would you have expected? You must have you must have thought that they were going to do something. You know what football fans are like, our tribe, all this all is, all this football world. So you would have expected them to do something. They're not just going to stand there like any other game. It's the most talked about game yesterday in Premier League history. Oh, no, but have a little bit of class. You know, there's no morals in cheating. And, you know, yesterday they say cheats prosper. But in the long long-term, they're not going to because yesterday was a bit of a dead rubber. And, you know, they're going to have plenty more dead rubbers this season and hopefully further on. Why don't the fans actually think that the club has been bought into disrepute by this supposedly cheating and then they're hiding behind this irrefutable proof. Let's have a look. Come on. Let's show it. You can't even show it. So, you know, they don't, clearly the fans don't care about the reputation of their club. Okay, John, listen, thanks for your call, mate. We're going to get a City perspective now. Steve has governs as I call this morning. Morning, Steve. Morning, Ali. Morning, Andy. Morning, Steve. Thanks for your call this morning, Steve. What did you think? What was your take on it? I'm guessing you don't agree with John there. Absolutely not. Come on. You know what? One thing you cannot question and this is what frustrates me, is the integrity of our fans and the integrity of them players. They've done nothing wrong. That team and them fans who were there yesterday were there to enjoy themselves. The media frenzy that had been whipped up all week to make City out of the cheaters or you go to Anfield it's going to be spicy. It's the same every week with us. We get that chant every week wherever we go. So it's just absolute rubbish rubbish. Well I actually tend to agree with you, I've got to be honest with you Steve. There's no doubt in my mind that the supporters have got my sympathies. This is why Ali this is why. Steve, an outcome to this. It needs to happen as quick and as fast as humanly possible because this is just going to ramp up every week now. You're going to get more of the same from a opposing fans and the City fans, in particular when they're travelling, are going to dig their ills in even more. That's just the nature of it. Absolutely. Steve, thanks for your call, mate. The result? We can't argue about the result anyway, the quality of finishing because I thought the three finishes were absolutely out of this world, Andy. Ross is a Liverpool fan. Morning, Ross. Morning, Ali. Morning, Andy. How are you Thanks for taking the time to call us this morning, what do you want to say? It's just about the game at the weekend. Normally when you win you're elated, when you lose you're angry frustrated yesterday after the game i was just sad i was just sad and numb to be honest and um and i thought about it last night and there's no other sport in the world that you can be accused and found guilty of cheating and then you're allowed to carry on while the appeal is heard if this is formula one and you had a piece of dodgy technology or something you'd be fined you'd have points docked and you wouldn't be allowed to race again until you remove that piece of dodgy technology. And I don't think this Man City team, forget the players and the innocence of the players, but this team was built on the success and the financial clout of City that they achieved during that period. And I just don't think that it's fair or it's good for football, that it can just be allowed to carry on like this. I'm just worried that the game, you know, the sort of excitement and the thrill that you get from watching football has come because it's a dark cloud hanging over you. Ross, I'm going to tell you something there's a lot of people feeling the same way. There's a lot of people feeling the same way, Ross. Ross, we've had thousands of texts going down the same road, really. And again, I'm going to say, Ali, there's been lots of texts that I've always admired the way that City are placed. Brilliant, beautiful football, etc. And your eyes, they don't lie. When we've watched that over the years, we know how brilliant they've been at times. But it is, it's very, very difficult and it's a gutting, sickening kind of feeling that our league has got this cloud hanging over it.
