"BEST FOOTBALL IN THE LEAGUE!" Jamie O'Hara's BOLD TAKE on Spurs leaves Jason Cundy DUMBFOUNDED!
Jamie O'Hara says Spurs play the best football in the Premier League, leaving Jason Cundy dumbfounded
The video rounds up weekend talking points, focusing on a heated debate over whether Spurs are playing the best football in the Premier League. Jamie O'Hara insists they are and will eventually thrash teams; Jason Cundy points to 19th place, poor results and Newcastle's win over Spurs. It also covers pressure on Michael Carrick at Man United and their difficult upcoming fixtures.
- He cannot question Man United's spirit — He saw the players care and grow into the game; there were mistakes, but the commitment was genuine, and they must do better and win more.
- Tottenham needed that reaction and played with more courage and energy after the red card — Given the game, table and season situation, Spurs needed a response; it was not a good reaction for football, but after the red card they attacked with more energy.
- Man United will get nothing from their upcoming away games and Carrick could be in trouble — Their recent results have been poor and the next fixtures away to Athletic, Leeds and Como are very tough; on the evidence he has no faith they will pick up points.
- Spurs battered Man United and should have won 4-1 or 5-1 — Watching them, he found their play exciting and they created chances; they were fragile and conceded poor goals, and should have taken their chances.
- Spurs are playing the best football in the Premier League and will start thrashing teams when it clicks — Their movement, patterns and style are exciting and the team is jelling; they have not got the wins yet, but it is coming.
- There are no encouraging signs for Spurs — They are 19th and Newcastle came and gave them a hiding; you cannot claim the best football in the league from 19th.
- Many teams are better than Spurs, including Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea — He names multiple teams and points to Spurs' league position and results, arguing others are stronger or take their chances.
- Those teams are not better than Spurs, they just have better results; only Man City can compare in terms of football — He argues other sides simply take their chances, while Spurs' overall football is better.

You are listening to the sports bar talk sport me high Jason Kundy. A reminder we have a brand new YouTube channel the sports bar lockin where we'll be streaming our shows live giving you tons of behind the scenes content. Uh we got some big ideas coming up on the show as well for it. Subscribe now. Big things coming up in the next few weeks. It's time for a Monday night round up on the sports bar. We run you through some of the other talking points from over the weekend. Let's start with my mob. Man United Michael Carrick under increasing pressure to drop points to 10-man Spurs. Despite that, he said he's insisted he can't question his side's spirit. From kind of what I have seen out the corner of me eye, I think there was a sending off. I haven't seen it back um to to to look at that. I think there was a lot of emotion in around that. I thought um I I I can't question the boys how much they care. Um, I think we showed that how much they grew into the game and and and and it doesn't always say you make the right decisions or the the the the quality is is is as good as it is or um sometimes there's bits of mistakes in there, but it's it's come from a place where the they genuinely care. We have to do better. We have to do better. We obviously need to win win more games. We need more points. We do, but it could have it could have looked ever so different for a couple of for a couple of minutes here or there, but that's the reality is reality. We got to accept that and we got to do something about it. >> Yeah, that was Michael Carrick. Let's hear from Roberto Deser after the game speaking talks about the energy Benor's red card created. >> But listen, in this moment, Tottenham needs this reaction is uh not right. It's not good because uh all people in football understand is a is a bad reaction. Is not good for football. But in that moment of the game, in that moment of the table, in that moment of this season, we need a reaction for sure. Bad reaction. But after the red car, we we reacted very well. We we played with more uh courage. We we attacked with more energy and we need it. >> Good performance, mate. >> Was it played well? Played all right. >> Yeah. The minimum you deserved was a draw. >> We should have slapped them really. They're absolutely terrible. >> Had you taken your chances earlier in the game, um you would have probably gone on to win that. I did say how important the first goal was. I thought whoever gets the first go and win it. That's what it felt like to me just looking at how both sides have reacted in recent weeks about going 1 nil down. Um and the Heat has gone from Derby going into injury time straight onto Carrick. And the Heat, listen to Carrick there talking. The last four results have been they got beat at home by 10 Man City. >> Yeah, >> City are a good side, but my god, they played for 10 men for a long time. >> They got dumped out the Caribel Cup by Brighton at home, right? Good side, Brian. >> Good team, mate. >> 3-2. Then they go away to Fulham, last minute equalizer to get something out the game that they probably didn't deserve. And then they were terrible at the weekend and then they concede to 10 men. Well, those four results, mate, they're all they've all you all look at go. Now, the next games, this is where it gets really tricky. They got Athletic away on Tuesday night, tomorrow night. Right. >> Tomorrow night. Yeah. >> Right. Champions League. Then they got Leads away. >> Oh, >> right. Sunday, Sunday afternoon, leads away. Then they got Como away in the Champions League. Right. The coma doing well under Ses. Right. those three away games I don't I don't I've got no faith that they'll pick up anything at less no chance of at the moment the evidence in front of me I don't see M& United getting anything out of those two games I genuinely don't now that can change of course again the KO one then they got then they got Bournemouth at home that is I mean I mean Bournemouth their performances are better I saw them at Chelsea at the weekend >> I think they're all right I don't think >> they're not Yeah. Do you know do you know the crazy thing is that that Chelsea's so Chelsea scored five right at the weekend. >> Yeah. >> Our XG whether you believe in XG or not it's up to you right. Our XG scored five was 1.08. >> M >> theirs was 1.46. >> So it tells you a little bit >> better chances. >> They had the bigger better chances. Right. And then after that they go away to Chelsea. >> Carrick could be in trouble. >> I I I don't I don't like the look of the rest of October for Man United. >> What about Spurs though, mate? >> I know. Well done. He deserves he deserves someone at the game. >> Cuz you know what, right? Like when when you look back on the No, hold on. Let me talk. Right. Don't know. I don't want to listen to your league table, right? No, I know where we are. We're 19th. All right. But that doesn't that doesn't read true in terms of what I'm actually watching. >> Yeah. >> Because when you're actually watching us right now >> Yeah. >> Like we are playing some good stuff. >> How you are you? >> No, but we are like when when you watch us again like we absolutely battered Man United. >> Yeah. >> Like we absolutely bopped them. Like we're playing like some exciting stuff. And look, yes, we're a bit fragile, right? We concede poor goals and yes, you know, we we've shown fragilityities in in in previous games, but that result >> we should have won four 5-1, right? We should we Seni's got to put goals away. >> Yeah, >> when I'm watching that overall play of Spurs actually quite exciting. >> You're doing all right. >> I think we're actually probably playing the best football in the Premier League. >> Spurs are back. >> I do. I think we're playing the best football. >> Spurs are back. We just We haven't got the wins yet. We ain't got the results. >> Spurs are back. >> Why you looking at me like that? Why are you looking at me like that? I ACTUALLY NO, I'M I'M being serious. I'm being Jesus. >> I'm telling you, mate. When you watch us play football like there is we look we look >> Say sorry. Say that again. >> We are playing the best football in the Premier League. >> Spurs are back. We but it hasn't it hasn't it hasn't happened. We ain't got the wins yet. But when you watch the team play and the way we're jelling and and the the movements and the the patterns and the style, it's exciting, mate. It is. And when it clicks, and it will click when it clicks, mate, we are going to start slapping teams. We really are. We're going to slap teams. Hasn't happened yet, but it's coming. You watch. I know you're I know you're sitting there with that stupid face, but I actually think it's quite exciting. It ain't happened yet and we're fragile and we got to sort that out. But the football, mate, you can't get away from the football we're playing. That football is is good to watch. Say something. >> 19th. >> Yeah. Yeah, I know. I know we're 19, but that's because, you know, we haven't got we we we had a sticky start, but the the signs are there, mate. Come on. You know, there's encouraging signs. Are you not seeing encouraging signs >> 19? Spurs are back. Just the side just crashed on the floor. >> Spurs are back. >> SPURS ARE BACK. IT'S JUST CRASHED OUT. just fell over. >> I'm being serious though. >> JAY, BEHAVE. JAY, BEHAVE. >> Come on. >> Come on, JAY. >> MATE, WE'RE POPPING. EVERYONE'S RAVING. GARY NEVILLE, EVERYONE. THEY'RE ALL TALKING ABOUT Even Lampard was interviewed him earlier with Sam Mace. He was like, "Mate, they look good. Tottenham >> Jay, sorry. Newcastle rocked up. Pulled your pants down. GIVE YOU A WHOOPING ROCKED UP." THEY DID PULL OUR PANTS DOWN. >> GIVE YOU A GOOD OLD WHOOPING. >> NO, but that's because we're fragile. WE'RE FRAGILE. AND WE'RE NOT TAKING OUR CHANCES, JAY. But if we start taking our chances, >> we are we are we are boppinging teams. We're exciting to watch. The problem we've got is we can see goals. >> PROBLEM. YOU GOT YOUR 19TH. >> YEAH, THAT'S BECAUSE >> YOU'RE 19TH. >> YES. BECAUSE WE can't put there's >> gone from 17th to 17th. 17th. 19th. Whoop. >> There's no encouraging signs, >> mate. We There are signs, mate. Come on. Come on. Come on. Be serious for one second. Come on, >> Jay. Mate, we're can't say we're playing decent football. >> The best football in the league. >> I ain't seen anyone play better football than us. >> City. >> No, mate. City. >> WHAT DO YOU MEAN? ARSENAL. >> ARSENAL. THEY'RE G >> ARSENAL. CHELSEA LEAGUES ARE WAY BETTER THAN THEM. >> CHELSEA. >> 60 MINUTES. >> JAY. >> CHELSEA. YOU EVEN SAID YOU WERE BANG AVERAGE. >> YOU SAID YOU WERE AVERAGE. PROBLEM IS THAT YOU NO, NO, NO. HOLD ON. SHARP A MINUTE. You literally just said that Chelsea's XG was not as good as Bournemouth. The difference is if you've got Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Xiao Pep taking Spurs ain't taking our chance. >> Name teams better than you. Man City, Arsenal, Brighton, Brenford, Everton, Chelsea, Leeds, Hull, Liverpool, Ipsswitch, Newcastle, Manchester. >> No, they're not, FOREST, ASTON VILLA, SUNDERLAND, BOURNEMOUTH, all better than you. >> No, they're not better than us. They've just got the results in front of us right now. >> I'm going to put in terms OF THE FOOTBALL. I NEED TO PUT FULHAM up there as well. >> Fulham, mate. Come on. All right. All right, Man City playing some decent football. They're Man City. >> WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? >> BUT EVERYONE ELSE, I WOULDN'T SAY THEY'RE playing better football than us. They've they're taking their chances. Coventry tonight took their chance. >> You got the tone. >> Chelsea against the tone. >> Took their chances. Brenford ruthless taking their chances. >> In terms of the football though, mate, everyone's like in awe of the way we're playing. >> What? Where are you getting these words for? In awe. Sorry. Sorry. >> We absolutely bought Man United. We bought them. >> MAN UNITED. BRIGHTON BOP MAN UNITED. >> NO, THEY DIDN'T. I'm two NIL DOWN. >> BRIGHTON BOP NAME MAN UNITED. >> NO, MATE. Over the course of the game, we are bopping. >> Let me just So, I've got this crystal clear before we go to a break. >> Spurs. >> I just want I don't want to I don't want to misquote you here, >> mate. Sharp. >> I don't misquote. >> Can No, no. Can I just Can I get this as a quote? >> Spurs >> are playing the best football in the Premier League. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I think we are just hasn't we just haven't got we haven't put our chances away yet. That's what we haven't put our chances away and then the game wears on and it gets a little bit frustrating. They lose you know a little bit of edge in the game and and a team scores on the break and then and then it gets undone in terms of the football. >> What are these? Look. What are these? >> Where you going from my bag, mate? >> It's taking stupid pills. Which one? >> Don't go from my bag. >> Which ones are the stupid pills? Which one are they? This is your bag. Look. Here you go. Get stop going from my bag. >> What the What are these little blue ones? >> Why little blue ones take
