the player is not for sale. It will be interesting to see whether Newcastle go in with an improved bid for the Norwegian striker. But clearly Eddie how looking for striking reinforcements. They don't want to overspend. I spoke to him just a couple of days ago in the buildup to this game. He says they don't want to overspend, but they know they need strikers in because they're playing not just in the Premier League this season, but they've got a Champions League campaign to contend with as well. We would like one, but it's got to be the right one at the right price. It's got to fit the club both short-term and longterm. There's a lot of key things that have to be met. Um, what we can't do is make a bad decision or overpay for a player that puts us in long-term financial difficulty with PSR. So, all those things come into play here. We lost Callen Wilson, who was a massive player for us, massive character for us. We're still looking to replace him. So Keith, Eddie talking about looking for reinforcements. We know they are desperate to bring players in. Who else is on their shopping list? >> Yeah. Well, G, I alluded to ever so slightly there in my previous answer. Yan Whissa is a player who we've been speaking about for a number of weeks now. Newcastle of course have had two bids uh rejected by Brenford for his services. The first of those was last month, 25 million. And then there was an improved offer of £35 million plus5 million as add-on that in add-ons that also turned down uh by Brenford and Newcastle still hoping to do a deal for Yan Whissa but Brenford really digging their their heels in and it feels as though their stance has hardened over the the last couple of days and their manager Keith Andrews saying at his news conference this afternoon that he hopes and and expects Whissa to be a a Brenford player beyond and the end of the transfer window. >> It's just a decision based around what I feel is best for the group. Keep saying it. Understanding of the situation, understanding of the market, what goes on. It's going on at every single club I'd imagine up and down the land, the disruptive nature of it. But, uh, the focus is on the group tomorrow. So, Yan won't be involved. But, as far as I concerned, there's been no movement in any way. And fully expect Yan to be here come next Tuesday. the focus is on the team really when you get close to games and in and around games and the nature of it, the emotions of it, I think can be difficult. So what goes on exactly um behind closed doors, we'll probably keep a lot of that exactly there. My stance hasn't really changed from day one of when I took over. I knew there was or would be interest in Yawan naturally when he scored that amount of Premier League goals and you play as well as he did last season in particular and he's built his career at this football club over the last four years where he's he's grown in stature, presence. Um not surprised by it and yeah, I haven't really changed throughout the whole time. I've been pretty consistent with my message around it and it's not just because there's there's cameras here. It's it's how I genuinely feel. >> Yeah. the Brenford manager Keith Andrews there talking about Yuan Wissa a player he is desperate to keep a player Newcastle would love to have this season for as I say both Premier League and Champions League action but it's becoming very protracted and drawn out and that is why Newcastle of course have turned their attentions this afternoon to Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larson with that 50 million pounds offer placed and turned down by Wolver Hampton Wanderer. So Newcastle, it feels very much at the moment spinning plates. We don't yet know what is going to happen with Alexander Isac, whether he will remain a Newcastle United player or not, but they're ensuring that they're doing everything they can to get in replacements should he move to Liverpool. And of course, just to add extra spice to all of that, it's Newcastle against Liverpool here tonight at St. James's Park live on the Monday Night Football. The coverage gets underway at 6:30. It's going to be a hostile, hostile environment at St. and James' part this evening. >> Brilliant. Thank you very much, Keith. Carve and Dom with me. And Carve, I mean, the game that's being played out off the pitch is almost more important, isn't it, this evening, than than the one being played on it in terms of where this transfer might go. Yeah, I think um some people in the industry think that this whole uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isac is sort of um blocking the transfer market when it comes to moves for out andout strikers because there's so many clubs looking for strikers for instance Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa, probably Everton as well and everybody's waiting to see what happens to Isach and people just think maybe once this game is out of the way we will get some more clarity because if Liverpool are going to make another offer for him, you would think they would make it after this game. So some people I speak to in the industry think in the next 24 or 48 hours uh the situation should become a lot clearer and depending on what happens to Isach that will have a knock-on effect uh on the future of players for instance like Nicholas Jackson at Chelsea. Yeah, >> you got to remember as well what Newcastle United said in their statement because as much as they would want to keep Alexander Isach, they said that the conditions and the terms of a sale were not met. So, by definition, there were conditions and terms of a sale. They also said they don't expect the conditions of a sale to be met. That's almost maybe asking Liverpool, well, if you want him, there is a price, but also the other conditions that Newcastle United have to meet is bringing in those replacement that Keith alluded to there. >> Yeah. Which means a very busy last week if that deal is to happen, isn't it? Okay. Um, we're going to turn our attention to Arsenal now and and talking of busy summers, uh, eighth signing Dish possibly on the way. >> Yeah, Eberz was their seventh summer signing. You know, it's a around250 million pound spend that they've made so far, but they don't look like they're stopping because they're exploring a deal for the B Leverkusen defender Pierro Hinapier, Ecuador international. Now, it should be said here Arsenal's focus does remain on departures, but they are working to be in a position to act on someone like Hinapier if they were to make those sales. Now, he's got four years left on his contract. Levakusen don't want him to go. Sky Germany though are reporting that the player does want to make a move in this summer's transfer window. He's got a 52 million pound release clause in his contract. I think Arsenal would probably want to negotiate on that. Tied in with all of this. I mentioned departures. Yakob Kivio who's a central defender on that left side of central defense for Arsenal who can play left back as well rather like Hin Capier. He's interesting. Porto Porto and Arsenal are still in talks over that signing. We think the total deal is worth around£23 million including a loan fee. Added to that, Alexander Zenchenko who can play on that left side of the defense as well. He's been interesting a number of clubs. Fenabach, they spoke to um Alexander Zenchenko and his representatives in this transfer window, but they couldn't come to an agreement over the finances of that deal and they then switched their attentions to a holding midfielder in Eden Alvarez from West Ham United who they ended up signing. other departures that Arsenal will be looking at. Uh Albert Samonga they'll listen to suitable offers for Fabio Vieiraa as well. Stoutgart were really pushing. We think Porto again might be looking at um Fabio Vieira. They might even be looking at Alexander Zenchenko. Looks like everyone that may want to leave Arsenal. Porto seem to be interested in them. Let's see if they can they can sign one or even two of those players. But it's clear that they do want to go back into the market, but it might depend on sales. >> Yeah. What about the Manchester City and the goalkeeping situation which I think quite a few people uh found will find particularly interesting you know perhaps off the back of that performance of the weekend from from James Trafford. >> Right. The the two keepers in your picture there Edison and James Trafford. Manchester City's intention is to keep both of those players. However, Edison is into the final year of his contract at Manchester City and there is serious interest from Galatastaster. They've held talks. They were proposing uh an offer to Manchester City, but at the moment Manchester City are sitting tight on that one. They don't want either of these players to go. Well, Trafford, of course, they've just signed. Now, it is understood that Manchester City have made initial contact with Paris Anger over Jean Luigi Donnaruma. That contact highlighted a gap in valuation. PSG valued Donna Rumor. There he is. and around £35 million plus. Now, there are some sources who may be suggesting that Don Rumor thinks, "Is that a little bit too high for me? I've got one year left on my contract. You don't clearly want me here because we haven't managed to agree on a new contract." So, >> he waved goodbye, didn't he, last week? >> He did, but there's a little over a week of this window to go. And at the moment, Edison's still a Manchester City player. Donna Rumor is still a PSG player. And that could remain the case. And Donna Rumor has basic basically accepted that if this deal doesn't happen then he might have to revisit and exit in January. >> What's your reading on this car? Well, I don't think Don Roma thinks that 35 million pounds is too much for him because when he looks in the mirror, he sees the best goalkeeper in the world. And obviously, he's got a big ego and even though he's got a year left on his contract, I think £35 million is pretty cheap for a goalkeeper as good as Donorama. Now, what happened on Friday is that he went to PSG's home game and he will be leaving PSG with the best wishes of everyone at the club. After the game, he had a very long emotional personal meeting with the PSG president, NASA Alcali, >> and I think they talked about all the good times, all the trophies that they've won together. And I think Mr. Alkali said to him, "Look, you can leave this club with your h head held up high. You're leaving this club in the right way. Okay, we weren't able to agree a new contract, but this is for the best." And I think it was a very emotional meeting. Um, I think Donorama then obviously said goodbye to all the fans, everybody at the club. He also had a long chat with the head coach, Luis Enrique. Obviously, Luis Enrique was crucial in the decision for Donor Rama to leave, but I actually think PSG are going to do whatever they can to make sure that his future is resolved in the next few days because they think so highly of him even though they weren't able to um sort out a new contract. >> Do you think they'll have to bring the price down though? >> I don't know. I I they they will sort his future out. Okay. >> He's not he's not going to be not playing football for the whole season. >> He's not going to be jobless. >> Too good to be jobless. Okay. Stay with us here on the transfer show and we're going to discuss the keeping situation at Manchester United in a few minutes time as well as bring you the latest on Raasmus Hiland. [Music] Right, welcome back to the transfer show. Darmsh and cave still with me and Manchester United's are in advanced talks with Royal Antworp goalkeeper Sen Lames. Darmsh, what is the latest? Yes. So he was pulled out of their squad for Royal Antrop yesterday for their game against KV Meccalin. Now that was a decision of the club because he actually wanted to play and the reason the club pulled him out is because they didn't want to risk anything happening to him with a deal with Manchester United according to them being quite far down the line. Talks we're told are advancing over a deal that's worth 17.3 million with the payment structure currently under discussion. Personal terms for Lammonds not expected to be a problem at all. Now initially Manchester United wanted to bring in Senna Lammonds to add to their goalkeeping department. So they have Tom Heaton um Alai Bayindia, Andre Onana and now Sane Lammonds as well. However, I'm told today that we shouldn't rule out a potential departure from the Manchester United goalkeeping department should Lammonds as expected join Old Trafford. Now you remember yesterday Andre Anana was on the bench. Alabia Bayinda started his second Premier League game in a row. Anana wasn't in the squad at all in the first game because Ruben Amarim said he hadn't been training and he hadn't had enough game time and so it was a big decision to leave him on the bench at the Fulham game yesterday. >> Yeah. And Amarim tried to get him, didn't he, at Sporting Lisbon, I think a few years earlier. Domesh also update on Raasmas Hamm for us. >> Yeah, this one looks like it is moving now. Um Napoli remain in talks with Manchester United over the signing of Raasmus Handland. Discussions are understood to be positive with Napoli exploring a loan with an obligation to buy. Now we do know that Manchester United would consider offers of around40 million. Now if it's a loan with an obligation, it would probably contain a loan fee and the obligation price together all of that would come to around 40 million is what Manchester United would want. It's thought more importantly that Rasmus Hyland is open to the move after negotiations between Napoli and his representatives as well. Earlier on in this transfer window, AC Milan went in for Rasmus Hland. They went in with a loan with an option to buy. Now Manchester United's preference has always been to have a permanent element in any deal. And Raasmas Hyland, if he was to leave Manchester United, because remember he said, "I want to fight for my place." But if he was to leave, he wanted a permanent element included in that deal as well. And I think the prospect of Champions League football with Napoli has basically lifted his incentive to maybe want to go and join that. And he's seen former teammates like Scott Mctomin go there and become a Balandor nominee. He was he was again omitted, you'll remember, from the squad against Fulham yesterday. >> Yeah. And Carve, we are now just a week, aren't we? A week to go. um Everton. I mean, it was a good weekend for them in their new stadium, wasn't it? And they are edging closer to bringing in this man. >> Yeah, Tyler Dibbley is having his medical. All being well, I think he'll become Everton's eighth signing of the summer. You have to say their new owners are making some really impressive moves in the transfer market. I think if they get Dibbling that means that they will have forwards on the pitch like Dibbling, Jack Greish, Endai as well. And there's talk that there could be a ninth signing as well because I think David Moyes ideally may want to sign another striker as well. But very eye-catching moves that Everton have been making in the market this summer. >> And he was of course left out of Southampton's squad at the weekend, wasn't he? Um Crystal Palace as well. This is the one that maybe caught our eye a little bit earlier today. What do you know about Connor Gallagher? >> Well, Chris Palace fans have got very, very fond memories of Connor Gallagher. He was their player of the uh season three or four years ago when he moved there on loan from Chelsea. Of course, now he's at some talk, especially in the Spanish media, that maybe he could be sold uh this window. I'm not sure that is really the case. >> He had a pretty good season last year, didn't he? >> Yeah. I know he did and he's a sort of fan favorite as well. Uh I think Atletico fans would be very unhappy if he was to be sold. >> I don't think he would leave but if he was to leave then there are lots of Premier League clubs who are interested in taking him including Crystal Palace. >> Yeah, it's World Cup year for him I guess. So it's big decision for him to get right >> regularly. >> Yeah. Okay. Um and your feeling Dish on this one? I mean, Palace clearly needs something to just >> He's been on loan at Palace before, hasn't he? As Car mentioned there, I mean, they loved him there. He actually loved his time at Crystal Palace as well. I think they tried to sign him when he was back at Chelsea, wasn't he, before he went to Madrid. There's always been a long-standing interest in um someone like Connor Gallagher. But it's another example of some of these Chelsea players. I mean, Caro will be able to tell us a bit more. They're going to be really busy, aren't they, in these last few days. Not only incomings, but outgoings as well. I think has just had his medical according to Sky Germany, hasn't it? >> I still think Chelsea need to sell a couple of more players. Enkunu Jackson. If they can sell both of those players, then I think in the next few days we could see big moves for Javi Simmons for instance, Alejandra Garnacho as well. They still really want those two players, but they need to sell players too. And and that brings us back to ESAC, doesn't it? Like you were saying earlier, just sometimes in the window, it just needs that one big move, doesn't it? To for then >> Yeah, I think you know if if if there's a lot of ifs, but Newcastle are saying there no ifs because Isak is staying. Yes. But if they were to sell him for something like 130 million pounds, then they would have a lot of money to spend on forwards. And we know other clubs are looking for forwards as well. So we could have that domino effect in the next few days after this big game tonight. Of course, Newcastle are saying, "Forget about dominoes. Forget about ifs. He's our player. He's not going anywhere." >> What is interesting about what Car was saying about Alejandro Gacho because that that could in turn be a really busy final week for Manchester United as well. We've been talking about the likes of Senna Lammonds, the goalkeeper maybe coming in. >> Raasmus Hland is now one of those players that they are listening to offers for, but there are a number of other players as well. And over the weekend, there was all this news coming out that Manchester United, even though these players, they've made it clear that they don't want them at the club anymore, they are still adamant that they will not be sold on the cheap. However, with one week to go until this window closes, there's going to be a lot of negotiating because interested clubs are going to spot an opportunity with these Manchester United players. We're talking about Garnacho. Manchester United may value him at 50 million pounds, but Chelsea, they might think, you know what, let's just wait because the later in the window it goes, we might be able to get a better deal here. >> Yeah. And with a week to go, who do you think are going going to be the busiest clubs? >> Well, I think actually Napoli would be a fantastic move for Raasmas Hland. Why would you not want to go there to live in Naples, to play in that stadium for those fans, also to work under Antonio Conti? They're the Italian champions. You'd play in the Champions League. You'd be playing with Kevin De Bruyne. you'd have Scott McTominay behind you as well. So, I think it's a no-brainer for him. Why would you not go to Napoli if you're Raasmus Handland? >> The busiest clubs with a week to go. >> I mean, standing here this time next week, it's always >> You've put me on the spot, but why not Chelsea? Chelsea. Yeah, Chelsea always busy. >> Manchester United as well because of the players they need to sell. >> Brilliant. Okay. Well, thanks very much, Jents. Uh, plenty more of course coming up with these two. the transfer show that is back from 700 p.m. tonight with Carve and Darmsh. And ther
