Right, big breaking news overnight and it's news that could have a big say on whether Giani Infantino continues as the FIFA president. The head of the Asian Football Confederation has endorsed Infantino for a fourth term as the head of world football's governing body. Let's have a listen to what he's had to say. >> We reaffirm our full commitment of course to supporting you and your leadership as you seek a new mandate as a FIFA president. I think you've visited a lot of countries in Asia. I've spoken to a lot of members within this continent. I know your feeling and I think your commitment is clear as well. Your support to Giani is very clear. Well, the news will be just what Infantina wanted to hear after months of sustained criticism over his leadership of FIFA. and he also spoke overnight. I know as president of FIFA and as FIFA as an organization that uh we can always count on Asia on a united Asia on a strong Asia as host as participant as contributor for everything you do. And uh you can always count on FIFA on the FIFA president and on our joint way of working and acting for football alto together. >> All right. Well, James is here to go through this pretty interesting and big story for Infantino. Now this is a U-turn is I thought the Asian Football Confederation were siding with Europe and the others who were going against him. So what does this mean for Infantino's possible re-election? >> Well, it's brilliant news for Jeani Infantino and puts him in a great position for reelection. You're right to suggest that they previously were siding with Europe. Shake Sam and the president we heard speaking there previously condemned Infantino's plans that was to sell off you know parts of the FIFA competitions like the World Cup to private investors but with the vote coming up in March for reelection whereas Yan infantino standing for a fourth term it could mean that he's edging very very close to reaching that point of being reelected. Let's have a look. We're going to look at a full graphic. hopefully is going to come up right now and it shows where the votes are made up and the two highlighted areas you'll see are CF the uh Confederation of African Football where there's 54 votes. They've already come out and spoke and said they endorse Shannino and the Asian Football Confederation which has 47 members and they've now said they want Shannino to carry on. 101 votes that will be and he only needs a majority of the total of 211 votes up for grads from federation. So he is very very close to achieving that and if he gets a little bit more support and that's if all the federations vote for him he will likely be reelected in March. So some very good news overnight for Giani Infantino.
