WHAT A GOAL. >> RIGHT BEFORE WE WERE ABOUT TO GO TO NEW TOWN, BUT already we have the shout of what a goal. It's come at Stanford Bridge. >> But who's the goal for Merc? I sense I know. >> Chelsea 1 nil and it's Henderson who scores it. What a goal. They give away the ball cheaply first Chelsea and then Bournemouth give it back to him. Then it falls to Palmer on the halfway line. Lot of space to run into. He runs. He runs. He gets into the box and he sort of does a trick and I think he's going to shoot. He rolls it back to Henderson on the edge of the box right footed. He rips it to the far corner, hits the inside of the post and comes out. Brilliant, brilliant finish. Great play by Palmer. I thought he'd messed it up as he took a bad touch and he turns around and then he looks up and then it's to Henderson. What a finish. Whips it off the post in. 1-0il Chelsea. It is absolutely brilliant from Jordan Henderson. And what a start. What a start for Chelsea as the Premier League returns. We need to go into the championship and find out what's been happening in the game between Preston North End. Remember Graeme Alexander's first game in chances. He left Bradford, took over at his old club. They're up against Milwall already. Significant happenings in this game. What's happened, Neil Miller? >> Well, the significant happenings were that Milwall put the ball into the back of the net. This was not in the script at all for Graeme Alexander. He's 55 today. Happy birthday to him. It's his return for the third time, but first time as a permanent manager. Big banner. Alexander the Gray. A big support from the North End fans, but Milwall had the ball in the back of the net. It all went silent. The flag went up for offside. I've seen a replay. He was just offside. So yeah, Graeme Alexander's return nearly wasn't such a great start. Still no nil. >> Talking about great starts. We've had a great start at Stanford Bridge. Chelsea Mers have flown out of the blocks. >> Yeah. And they're two-nil up. And it's Morgan Rogers. First of all, the ball goes down the the wing. Comes into Palmer. Palmer rolls it to Neto. NETTO HAS A SHOT. Ga parries. It comes back out, plays it to Rogers who comes back on side. He's on the edge of the box. All of a sudden, there's a there's a run, a great little run, an overlap. He takes a defender away. He comes inside. He whips this ball. Takes a little deflection, but flies into the back of the net. It's a great little run. Takes a takes him away. It takes a little touch off of the defender and then goes in and beats the goalkeeper. It's 2-0 Chelsea. What a start for Chelsea. It is an absolutely ridiculous start by Chelsea. Old Trafford Manchester United taking on Tottenham Hotspur. And as I was trying to then lead us into the promotions uh for what's coming up tomorrow, we don't care because in the same way they came out of the blocks rapidly at the start of the first half, Chelsea have done exactly the same. Rinse and repeat in the second mer. >> Yeah, very much so. Gando come on for Brooks but they kick off. He goes down the line and the defender Silva comes across and he's with Netto and he should get there. He goes to slide and he should cut it out and I don't know why he doesn't. He goes in and he misses it. It goes under his legs and then he gets muddled up for the netto now do something. He pulls it back to the arpedro on the about to the right of the penalty spot and he hits it first time into the roof of the net. First time. Brilliant. Brilliant finish. Great ball by Neto and a great finish. Pedro exactly the same as the first half. Great start. 3-0. Game over. >> Don't want to split hairs, but the difference is it was 66 seconds that Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the first half. Just the 40 seconds for Xiao Pedro to record his fourth Premier League. 30 seconds. Actually, let's knock 10 off that. 30 seconds even quicker. Either way, at the start of the first half, start of the second, Chelsea Rapido out of the block. But before we go to Peter Smith, let's quickly go to Stanford Bridge where it's all happening and it's a lifeline of sorts for the Cherries Mercy. >> Yeah, and it's a Bournemouth Evan Nelson. So the the clean sheet goes on for Chelsea. Corner gets whipped in and it looks like it's a diving head. It looks like it's silver and he gets under the ball and it falls to Casso. Cassedo goes to clear it away. Evan Nielson puts his leg out, hits his leg from four yards out and goes in the roof of the net. Big mistake. Bad goal for Chelsea to let in. And it's 3-1. That's another game without a clean sheet. >> A Stanford Bridge. It is game, sets, and match to Chelsea M. >> Yeah. And it's 4-1 is Y Pedro. Real good football goal played from the halfway and up back into Rogers on the left. Shavaro goes on the overlap. He rolls him in. He plays an unbelievable ball across the box. And there's Y Pedro coming in. Just got to let it hit his foot and guide it into the net. Brilliant ball by Chavaro. What a signing. This kid looks a real player. And it's 4-1. Game over. Just before that, I thought that Chelsea were not on the rack, but Bournemouth were really looking for another goal. And if they had got it, it would have been game on. But now, game over. Fifth Premier League goal of the season for Xiao Pedro is second of the afternoon as well. And it is 11 goals in their last three games as Stanford Bridge. No problem in front of goal, but they remain having that problem in terms of keeping goals out because they don't get a clean sheet. It's now 22 Premier League games without a clean sheet, but they are heading back to winning ways this afternoon. >> Here we go. Strand dominating Athletic now 4n up and Chelsea dominating Bournemouth at Stanford Bridge. Let's get an update from Merse. >> Yeah, he got free kick. Palmer good run gets brought down by Christy. Tries to stay up. He gets brought down. He got a free kick just to the right about 25 yds out. It's either Palmer or it'll be Anderson. Uh Henderson. I think it might be Palmer. They're both having a little chat. One's going I got eight years and the other one's going I got a year. Probably the eight years. Probably the eight years. But they're just waiting to take it. Henderson's already scored one as well, but here we go. Cameras are out. Everybody's filming. Palmer lets IT GO. HENDERSON. OH, WHAT A GOAL. WHAT A GOAL. GIVE HIM ANOTHER YEAR. THAT'S 51. What a goal by Henderson. He goes over the wall. Keep a full stretch. Can't save it. Two goals for Henderson. 5-1 to Chelsea. Six shots on target in the game. And they've scored with five of them. And it's two brilliant coals from Jordan Henderson. The first one came inside the first 66 seconds at the start of the first half and he has just scored a wonderful wonderful free kick as well. Chelsea now 51 up at home to Bournemouth and Marco Rosa search for that first league win. It's going to go into another week. They got Sturm Grass in the Europa League to come on Thursday before sun home next Sunday. It is a brilliant brilliant free kick by Jordan Henderson. Right. And it is all over at Stanford Bridge. Handshakes between Jabi Alonzo and Marco Rosa. But what a performance this afternoon by Chelsea. The boys in blue have beaten Bournemouth by five goals to one. The first goal coming from Jordan Henderson in 66 seconds. He added a second, the fifth from a free kick. Beautifully taken. They were two-0 up inside 2 minutes and 29 seconds. The only black mark on their copy book today is that that weight for a clean sheet in the Premier League now extends to 22 Premier League games. But in front of goal today, they were absolutely sensational. Two from Xiao Pedro, one for Morgan Rogers, and two from Jordan Henderson as well. 5-1 Chelsea win at home to Bulma for Marco Rosa and the Cherries. The wait for their first Lee win of the season continues.
