Welcome back to Premier League Weekend Live and it's a very warm welcome to our very own war room for actor and celebrity Chelsea fan Archie Reo. Archie, lovely to have you, mate. Thanks so much for coming on to the show. Let's start with it because it is everywhere. War is is been so successful, man. So far, a hit legal drama series. For those people that that don't really know, how I guess for you, how did this come about? >> I was actually on another job. I was in Canada. Yeah. See, there's a bit of time difference there as well. We're doing night shoots >> and I really didn't feel like I had time to even look at it. I got sent through from my agent >> and I was just like, "Oh, it felt unfair to give my time to something else when I was that deep into something else." >> Yeah. >> Uh but she kept pestering me thankfully >> saying this is the one. >> Saying this is good and I read it and it was a real >> page turner character Johnny which I who I play >> very good. I was in. >> You were in. You were in. >> So, look, episode 4 dropped last night. Uh, for those people that haven't actually caught up on the show yet, I mean, what's the rough idea of it? What can you tell us? >> Uh, episode 4, I actually haven't watched >> just just for people that that haven't seen the show. So, you watch the show. >> I have, but it's a while ago. I haven't watched yesterday's episode. But, uh, the show is about two rival law firms going headto-head against each other. big divorce case. Sienna Miller, Dominick West. Uh Dominic's sort of like a tech billionaire. Sienna Miller plays a an actress and it's all out in the open, very public and uh yeah, >> gets juicy. Get tasty. Get >> very very juicy indeed. Exactly. But look, your your character Johnny has been front and center of the action on the show so far. uh just to give you a little bit of an idea of how much Johnny will do uh to get a take uh to get what to do whatever it takes near to get the word out there. Let me get it right. Uh to get the job. Take a look. >> Speak to your colleagues. Tell them I'm going to give this guy a month. Tell them I'm going to give this guy a week. A day. Day. That's it. You're going to go, "What a day. What a guy." It's indisputable. Undeniable. Irefutable. Inexplicable. Please understand. I would never risk selling myself to you in this way unless I could look you in the eye and tell you that I was a perfect fit for Natchornne Sand for Coset Eldridge Caendish Row Deamir Butterton Lynch. >> Very good. Very very good man. I mean look the cast as you mentioned right brilliant. >> Unreal. >> How fun was it working with all those guys? >> Amazing. Like we had such a obviously it's a big cast, big ensemble, >> but I mean you got senior class actors. Yeah. Yeah. Nick Muhammad's, Emma, James Mard like >> I've got I have to name everyone. >> Yeah, exactly. Yeah. >> Was it instant chemistry like with with them all? >> Yeah. I I mean I knew Emma led from a film we did uh before that. >> Uh but everyone was really spot on like really enjoyed each other's company. Like we were laughing most of the time. As soon as the camera is cut, we're we're laughing a lot. >> Yeah. Well, it's it's intense show. So I mean you must have some little bit of yeah trying to find the levity and >> it is quite funny. There are funny moments and you know it is important to find that levity and to keep it entertaining. Um >> but yeah like Miles Jup there is uh yeah very good comedy actor and like yeah it's it was it was great. >> As I say m congratulations. It's the show that everyone's talking about but Sienna Miller working working with her I mean iconic right. Yeah. How's that been? >> Been amazing. Uh she's she's a lot of fun. Really really down to earth which I think is important as well. You know when someone you have these sort of >> like big names and it's you know important for the everyone to sort of feel comfortable. I feel that's where you do your best work is when you feel relaxed and comfortable and she was very welcoming and yeah just a joy. >> It's not one of those who's got the biggest dressing room. >> No no not at all not his dressing room earlier. Yeah, you haven't been invited. >> Yeah, you didn't. You came in a gate crash. >> Green room museum. It's huge. >> Let's get into your team then, >> right? Yeah. >> So, Chelsea, look, this is why what I love is you talk about your show, you go, >> okay, I get Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But look, Chelsea. >> Yeah. >> Why Chelsea? >> My dad. I feel like that's >> it's everyone's for Yeah. Whoever your sort of old man supports, >> but was that just like non-negotiable Chelsea fan? >> Pretty much. Yeah. Yeah. All right. And how big is it in the house for for you and your family? >> We're a big Chelsea f family in in in our household, but then one half Yeah, there's me. Autoglass kit. Yeah. >> Uh but then the other half my mom's side are Arsenal. >> Oh, okay. >> So there's a little bit of >> Do you do you is there backing up? Is that like do you have a soft spot for Arsenal or is it more so now it's just pure hate? >> No, it's it's pure hate. >> It's pure hate. But mainly because >> you're you're good. you you're you're better than us at the moment, you know, winning stuff. So, >> I've been getting a lot of stick off of my mates, my mate Shako. >> Look at that. What are your favorites there? >> What What were some of your earliest memories as as a Chelsea fan? >> Uh, my first memory, this is funny, actually. I think it was Chelsea Middlesbrough. And I had to look at the date the other day. It was 2002, I believe. So, it was just after the World Cup. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Japan. Yeah. >> Yeah. Uh, but I remember I must have been about 5 years old, but I remember being more interested in the seats going up and down like >> when everyone's standing up. Yeah. You hear that sound? Yeah. >> And I remember shouting, "Come on, England." >> Yeah. >> People I see my dad and people looking at me with like funny looks. >> That's it. >> And going, "What?" I was Why are they looking at me funny? >> I mean, you look you're so busy obviously working. Do you get down to get down to the bridge much? as much as I can and when you know when there's tickets available. Um it's been a bit tough for the start of the season. I got to the whole game. >> Yeah. >> Two two draw. >> Yeah. Wasn't the best. Yeah. Yeah. Good. >> No, they played well. They played really well actually. I think they sort of >> surprised uh >> Chelsea a lot there. I don't think that was expected. >> We had the owner of Hull on the show, Azan. We had the owner of Hull on the show the day of that game. >> Lively. >> He's lively. He was fantastic. He was buzzing for that. What what what was your what was your favorite game that that Well, your favorite Yeah. favorite match for as a Chelsea fan. >> Favorite match goal? >> Oh, it's got to be 2012. >> Oh, yeah. >> Cup final. Yeah. >> Yeah. The 2012 cup final. Love that. >> The first Champions League. >> Yeah, exactly. What about in terms of favorite Chelsea goal? >> Uh Essen again versus >> against Arsenal. Yeah, one of them. >> I mean, yeah, exactly. I was there that day in the away with with my dad. Where were you sat? Could you see >> So the away end's on the other side. So we just literally you just see this bend. Bang. >> The movement on the I remember watching it. We showed the replay and you see it in slow motion and the like it starts outside the goal. >> Yeah. It swings in. >> Well, >> Jay, you've hit a couple of them. >> Yeah. >> Basis. >> Yeah. It's nothing new that. >> Yeah. >> No, I mean that's just picture perfect, isn't it? >> And uh and what about what about for you growing up? you he's been your favorite player or not even just growing up just just that you've seen play for for Chelsea. I mean >> Frank Lampard we've had Yeah. Frank Lampard. I I've Here's the thing. I grew up we've always been good and winning stuff and and now it's starting to feel a little bit more what it must be like to be a normal football fan, you know. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> You don't win everything. That's what what I had growing up. But Frank Lampard, Ddier, Drogba, >> Hazard is >> and Hazard is like I would say >> when you used to watch Hazard as player, was that just like >> well you know he's good when other teams you know other fans are even in sort of awe >> at what he does and now he dribbles and zigzags out of players like he is just unreal to watch. He's game changer >> you know. Yeah. >> Okay. It's always against Arsenal. >> Arsenal. There was one against Liverpool that I loved about >> Francis Cockland having a great time there. >> Yeah, look turning inside out. There's one against Liverpool. >> He sort of I can't remember who he does. He get picks the ball up sort of near where the center circle is. Drives out to the wing, cuts inside and out and then smashes it into the side netting. >> Yeah. >> And it's just like wow. And he plays with such easy makes the game look easy. >> He's one of those Jay, would you agree? He's one of those players that like the fans get their money's worth when he >> play. Well, there's certain players in the game that you you pay to go and watch, right? Yeah. >> And he's he's one of them, right? And there's not many of them around anymore. And Eden had for me >> was just one of them players that whoever you supported, you just appreciated how good he was, you know, and you hated when he played against you and he was just won the league. >> That was it. Yeah, exactly. >> But you got to appreciate how good he was. You know what I mean? He's just one of them players that just love playing the game. Yeah. >> Jamie banned us from showing that goal today. >> Yeah. Now, it may be one of the most one-sided fixtures in Premier League history, but Spurs boss Roberto Deserby is determined to improve his side's record at Stamford Bridge when they travel to Chelsea in the Saturday Night Football live on Sky Sports. >> Let's talk about some of the players that have come back into the side. James Madison, one of them scored a great goal against Cometry. He spoke after and said that he spoke to you about maybe getting a start and getting back into the side and getting more consistency. How was that conversation for you and how positive is it to see someone be so willing to get back into the side and make an impact? But from the beginning of my time in Tottenham, I always said uh great things about James Med as a player because he's a special player, different player, as a guy because you can see the team with or without Medici is very important. Uh we are waiting for uh Pedro Porro because he's another top player for us but we need to become teams team we we need to to follow in this way to make results in a row and to play with the same uh attitude we we have done in the last two games. >> And how big would it be to get a result against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge? Yes, it's very important for the for the for the confidence first of all because um because we need to believe more and more to to increase and improve in the in the confidence and many times I say I I look my players nicer than they look themselves. No, but is a is a process is a is a journey and when we arrive the top of the of the mentality of the confidence, I think we can show all our qualities. >> Deserby talking there after uh Spurs got their first win of the Premier League season. Jay, you know what I'm going to say? >> Are Spurs back? >> Are they back, mate? >> Um, do you know what? I think we might be, you know, but I don't know if it's going to happen today. >> I feel like >> Spurs are not quite back. >> We're not quite back, but we're on our way back. >> Yeah. >> You know, because look, Chelsea, it's the worst game to play. You get your first win against Coventry and if there's one team that Spurs don't want to play in the next game, it's Chelsea, right? Because we just don't seem to know how to get it over the line against them. So, look, I' I've been I've been encouraged by what I've watched with Derby, with the way that we're playing. I think we're playing some of the best football. Yeah, I've seen signs. I've seen signs. >> I've seen signs. So, I've actually seen actually some, you know, some good stuff. I really have. But >> the problem we've got is we're playing Chelsea. We got a a shocking record there. >> Yeah. >> And, you know, we've just got to somehow find a way of can we upset Chelsea? Can we make a statement to the Premier League today? >> We'll see. But I'm just I'm not convinced we're there yet. I don't know. >> It's one of there's no record like it. And you can either look at it as like maybe it's the perfect time to play. But from a Chelsea fans perspective, Archie, I mean, how much do Chelsea fans love this game? >> Oh, we love it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Three-point lane and it's like it's a good day out. Um, >> but do do you feel that rivalry when when you're watching a game with, you know, when this, you know, battle bridge type stuff? >> Yeah, I mean, I know a few Tottenham fans at the moment. It just feels a little bit sad really to kick them while they're down. It's like it's, you know, I feel like they sort of know where they they know where they stand a little bit now. There's not It's like >> feels sad. >> That's a horrible statement. >> It does, you know, and I and I uh you know, I I won't really give it to them too hard because it's sort of >> So, you're a little bit worried though, aren't you? You don't want to go >> I'll never I'll never I'll never say never. as football, you know, anything can happen. And we're we're not amazing at the back this season. >> No, but you've gone to a back four, haven't you? They've changed a little bit. >> Back four. We're still leaking. We only have we had one clean sheet, the first one last last week. >> Martinez will be out obviously after >> Penders looks good, though. >> Yeah, he looked very very good, but but I mean, look, we're talking about, you know, records, >> Jay. I mean, it is it's >> one one win in 34 Premier League season. >> It's embarrassing. It's embarrassing. Is is that as bad as it gets in terms of records, would you say? And and and I guess what how can happen because you you've had so many iterations and different variables, different managers, different teams. >> Is it almost like a voodoo ground? I think as a player, >> I think it's a mental block. I mean, there's certain grounds I used to like playing at and there was certain grounds that didn't. And Stanford Bridge was one of them grounds. I just never felt like you could get a result. But obviously I played against a Chelsea team who had you know Balac and Lampard and John Terry but it just feels like Tottenham don't get results at Stanford Bridge. It is like a mental block and you and you bit like Arsenal right when they're trying to win the league and you just can't get is it ever going to happen? >> Spurs have got that at Stamford Bridge. We have got to get one over the line to get rid of that you know that record you know and Spurs have got some bad records but that one is one that one's bad. You can't you can't just con continually get beat when you go and play there because it's almost like you're giving up three points every time you play that fixture. And it we've got to make it change. And >> am I convinced today? Maybe. Do you know what I I I feel like it'll be free flowing because Tottenham one thing with this, he's not going to sit back. He ain't going to try and park the bus and I know managers have gone before and tried to park the bus at Stanford Bridge and they have got slaughtered for it. >> Yeah. >> We're not going to park the bus today. We will go and try and win the game. So >> against the best front three in the league. >> Yeah. But you've got I think you got back yourselves, haven't you? >> We do struggle if people sort of shut up shot and do sit back. We we I find we do struggle sometimes to break teams down. >> We We're very good on the counter. I think we're very good on the counter. >> Deserve here. Van Hecka sit sit in. >> No, but I just don't I don't think Zer is going to want to do that. I hear you. And listen, I work with Kundi and he tells me all the time teams sit in make it really difficult for Chelsea. They do. >> I just don't know if Derby is going to be that player that that that manager to sit in. I I then worry because I mean the front three that Chelsea have got currently. Is this the best front three that maybe you'd say you you've seen for Chelsea? I know it's early days still. >> It is early. It is early days. >> It's an outrageous front. >> It is really good though. It's exciting. I mean the first few games of the season we scored in like the first minutes and stuff of games. >> Um and they look like they really enjoy playing with each other and linking up well. I know uh Morgan Rogers fairly new but he's good mates with Cole. Um but yeah, it is exciting but they just I feel like uh it's a case of like can we outscore? I mean obviously can we outscore? >> Today's going to be an outs. >> Well, cuz we let in we let in too many goals. We do a little bit worried you know. >> He's a little bit worried. >> HE'S A LITTLE BIT WORRIED you know. He's a bit nervous. >> Yeah. Do you know I feel like I'm more the more confident I'm feeling. If he's going back to his mate, Spurs, good team good team, you know, bit worried. >> If if we can manage to sort the defense out, you know, I feel, you know, >> we're in a much better position. >> We've conceded 13 goals. >> It's not a lot of goals to concede, right? And and and he has gone to a back four and he's changed it cuz they're playing three at the back and they've gone to a back four and they look more solid. >> Yeah. >> But we'll see today because as I said, I think Spurs will try and win it. I think it will be I look I think like 22 I think is going to be but it could it could be 4-1. Well, I think if you come at us like you said Deserby might try he's going to try and do >> Yeah, >> I think you could be in trouble. >> Yeah, >> I do I do think I do think we'll concede though. >> Well, I mean, look, it's >> it's going to be a fantastic game. As I mentioned earlier, Spurs finally got their win against Coventry. How important Jay is is James Madison's fitness? I mean, the goal that he scored was phenomenal. I mean, take a look at this. >> Yeah, I mean, yeah, it was a pearl. I mean, what a goal. What a strike, you know, coming back. I think it's like the first start in 18 months. Something right. >> Uh he was the best player on the pitch in the first half. He tired in the second half obviously. Do you know his first game back? He made a massive difference to the team because he's he wants to get on the ball. He wants to make things happen. And I feel like sometimes when you know at Spurs when when going gets tough, players can go missing, right? And and but he's not one of them. He will not go missing for you. even when the chips are down, even if it's not really quite happening for him, he'll still try and get on the ball. And that's and that's a great character to have in your team. So, look, I think he'll start today. I don't know if he trained, maybe he was maybe had a niggle after the game. >> We got to try and keep him fit. That's the biggest thing. >> Uh, very quick score predictions from you both. You've gone 2-2. >> I think two. Yeah, I'm going to go 2-2. >> He's gone with a Desmond. Go on. >> I'm going to go 3-1 Chelsea. >> 3-1 Chelsea. >> Yeah. Uh Arch, thanks so much for coming on, man. And congratulations with War. Fantastic show. Thanks, man. Lovely to have you, man. Cheers.
