here tonight at the Bet 365. Indeed, it is Netto Borges, the hero for Middlesborough. A stoppage time winner for Kim Hellberg's side who now go eight games unbeaten. They win in dramatic fashion here tonight. They took the lead. Stoke fought back. Middlesborough took the lead again. Stoke equalized, but Netto Borges with a wonderful piece of composure so late in the night gives Middlesbor victory on the road and you can see what it means to them, Don Goodman. >> Yeah, 100%. And you know, just a word for Stoke. They've just been really applauded off the pitch by these home fans. They know what they've given. They know what they've left out there. Look, on the night, it's going to be no points, but I think it's worth more than points that performance by Stoke City. They've competed with one of the best teams in the championship. And as for Middlesborough, the character to just keep on going. That is a commodity that is priceless if you want to be automatically promoted. Two teams who walked out tonight here in good form. And they treated us to a fivegoal thriller. But it is Middlesborough who are celebrating at the end of the night. They remain second in the championship. Middlesborough momentum continuing to build. Fulltime score, Stoke City 2, Middlesborough three. >> Andy Dom, thank you. Tommy, there was a noise, wasn't there, that came out with that that third win, that third goal, I should say. >> It wasn't for myself. You talk about me. No. Yeah, there was. Listen, I think Dom was absolutely spot on there on Cocom. He just said about the character. Uh I think that was the main thing tonight from Mil point of view. I'm absolutely delighted, you know, to get pegged back twice and then to go on and win the game. It's a big big three points for them. Uh absolutely delighted >> and a couple of the players there seen Ailing and Bas when when you see what happened earlier on for him to get that that winner. >> Yeah, I mean it was crazy, wasn't it, the way it ended up just felt that that second half just blew into action. You said there'd be goals, didn't you? But yeah, I think when you make mistakes and and you you know you dwell on them and I think credit to both sides really. They're both both sides showed massive character in that game, particularly in that second half where we've seen all the goal action >> cuz you felt for one moment it's going to haunt them that the the points that they dropped when they from winning positions. Hold that thought cuz we can get some reaction from the pitch with Jonathan. >> What both of you Natau just tell us about your winner at the end there. Could you believe it when it landed at your feet just in front of goal? >> I was kind of nervous to be fair. Out of nothing the ball was just there in my feet and then just had to turn and shoot the ball. So yeah, uh just happy to help the team to get away with. >> Yeah, you might have suspected their first goal has gone down as as an own goal. It took a big deflection off you. So is there relief as well as joy? >> As soon as it happened, I I just like I'm going to score. It's okay in my head. So when you believe it, things happen. So yeah, just happy. Happy. Very happy. >> Callum, well done on your first goal for Middlesbrough. How would you describe it? A bit of a scoop. I would describe it as an absolute worldy. >> Two fullbacks on the goal sheet. Who would have thought? Uh, absolutely buzzing. >> I mean, you had to come back from You had to go ahead three times tonight. They kept coming back, didn't they? I mean, what what does it say about your resilience that you keep showing? >> Yeah, there's a there's a special spirit within this squad. We've got great uh great people, great players, and yeah, it's it's an amazing team to play a part of. >> You certainly make it exciting, don't you? Yeah, we're an entertaining team. We want to keep uh keep more clean sheets, but if we keep that spirit and we keep keep scoring last minute goals, then who cares? >> You've really hit the ground running this season, haven't you, Neetto, after the the disappointment of how last season ended. >> Yeah, of course. Uh this year is just motivation to to get the job done. So, just keep going, scoring goals, keeping the clean sheets. Uh we couldn't today, but yeah, keeping the resilience, the motivation to come out and having pleasure to play together. So yeah, very just happy to be part of this group. >> Thank you. Well done both of you. If you could do the honors, please. Callum's the sky player of the match. Well done. >> Wonder which way that would go, but it had to go for the absolute worldy of the goal, was it not, Tommy? >> It was a great goal. And listen, he's thoroughly deserving of that as well. He's been absolutely fantastic, Callum, since he joined the football club. He's consistent. He's always available, which is a big thing in itself. Um, I think I'm right in saying that's his first goal this season. It was a great goal. It was a shame it wasn't a winner. Um but yeah, brilliant goal. >> You said it was a cross. >> I thought I thought I thought at first he was looking for Will at the back stick, but no, it was a great goal and as I say, thoroughly deserved from a goal. >> Instinctive strikers finish then. Um they that that note then from Netto saying we want to get it this season. We want it to be done. That was the kind of resilience at the end. I was about to say you could throw at them. Oh, they've dropped points again. Yeah. >> But getting that over the line could be so crucial now. >> I think so. I think so. But when we, you know, at the start of the show, I know he's over the moon. I'm not sure he would have been too happy if he'd have ended up a draw because, you know, over the the whole view of the game, they did deserve to win it. Um, I think the two goals conceded, that would have been a disappointment. I think it's the own goal, it was hard to to sort of digest, but I think the way it happened so quickly, that's where you go and you dig deep and that's where the teams rise to the top for me. the quality rises to the top and I think they they've got the squad depth for me to really go and push on this season and and and get over the line as they said. >> Listen, Stoke played their part in that game. You know, there's no two ways about that. They did, but I think on the balance of play, Millers were fully fully deserving of the three points tonight. You know, it happened in dramatic fashion at the end of it. I mean, look at the celebrations here. It's great. Middlesbrough deserve three points tonight. And that's not me being biased. I think on the balance of play, like I've just said, from a shots, from a possession, all that type of stuff, I think they definitely deserve to win in the end. Not least, when you see Stoke come back at them and back at them again, it was so easy not to be resilient in that moment. >> Yeah. I mean, I I was I was really really impressed with Stoke. I really was because I think the game plan it looked like it was going to go in their favor, didn't it? Uh at one stage and, you know, all of a sudden, you know, they go one down and you think this could be Stoke going back to Stoke. But, you know, credit, they they literally dug deep. They show your character fairness twice on on two occasions >> and and I have to give Mark Robbins, you know, a lot of credit because he didn't just sit back. He threw two strikers on. He give it a go. Um I mean smiling faces obviously he knows how much it's going to mean to the football club this season. You know how close they got last season, the disappointment and still I'm sure he'll go away and he'll reflect and he'll look at what they could have done better. >> He looks exhausted, doesn't he? >> The head in disbelief, isn't he? >> Not surprised. Lovely little moment.
