it is crunch time the easter weekend is upon us welcome to championship [Music] 365. i think i mastered the pregnant pause then even if i am breaking my i'm slapping myself on the back ryan dilks how do you in ten words or less describe the the drama the sheer panto of the easter weekend in the championship it's electric it's the fake it's my favorite time of the season really because it's two games this is more than ten words but it's back-to-back just chaos and seasons ultimately get decided in this one single weekend don't they it's lovely uh justin are you up for the easter weekend where are you hiding your easter eggs oh yeah i don't don't get easter eggs no a bit bit tall for them maybe but uh yes it's a sad day for me um but yeah i mean it's bank holiday weekend lots of football it's not much to to go wrong really ben a chaotic weekend ahead for you uh i hope so really i think i'm going to enjoy sort of watching it from afar now that you know north end don't really have a horse in either race for promotional relegation so i'm going to enjoy watching it all unfold ben can i push back on that when did they last have a horse in the race we're going back to the sort of glory days the early years and alex neil maybe it's been a while all right it's been a while so it was very unfair of me um what we're gonna do and i'm sure i'm going to upset coventry fans and below but i'm only going down as far as millwall um i want to know from you boys how you think the weekend is going to progress for each side i might even well i say i'm gonna do this i'll write down the points totals and we'll see but i'm gonna mess that up and then probably take around three to five minutes to actually add it on um so i'll try and do it but um ben hd first uh fulham off in the distance we're just chatting off air i think i'm right in saying fulham will be promoted on round 42 uh good friday if forest lose and they win um at derby uh fulham will be promoted on round 43 if forrest have not won what i think there needs to be a two-point differential so um four and six or one and three will will do it how do you see it going it's darby away and your beloved preston at home um i think both games are on um tv as well um are you for seeing three four six points there yeah it's an interesting one for fulham because i think that most of us were probably um quite surprised with how the coventry game unfolded really but coventry just seemed to have fulham's number this season don't they with them both fixtures but still created a bucket load of chances in those and i think that going up against derby impression at this point in this season i wouldn't be too surprised to see fulham coming out of this with six points to be honest i know that derby had been um you know tough side to go up against particularly in their home fixtures but north end not particularly having much to play for at this point of the season either the championship's weird at this point and it can throw up some upsets but i certainly wouldn't put it past them getting six points from these two to be honest do either of you two at the bottom fervently disagree on on a is is anyone for a three or four pointer ryan i think derby can give them a good game on friday i think derby's home record is superb and they're a lot better at home than they are away so i i think fulham will find it tricky this week uh this friday so i i'd be surprised if they actually did get promoted on good friday mainly because obviously forrest still got to say in that matter but i think obviously as we all know it's only a matter of time into it so um i could definitely see it being four points maybe three points justin i'm gonna give you the final say three four six i'm i'm i'm gonna go four points but i don't think it'll be derby that takes points off fulham i think the squad is just so depleted now it's almost a given that three points are in the back for for marcus silverside and and yeah i think preston i think ryan lowe will get there get the players up for that sort of game um you want to spoil things and and showcase his team so yeah i fancy preston to at least knicker point okay one of my favorite things each week is um watching you justin going two-footed on bournemouth and scott parker and completely disrespect and besmirch their honor each and every week so let's talk to you about bournemouth then um it's middlesbrough at home and then coventry away and cbs has been gnarly for quite a lot of teams um what are you thinking borough at home coventry away well middlesbrough have turned a little bit of a corner with away performances obviously the the game at the weekend was quite um quite quite a bad variable to bring into it but it's because we're generally just really really poor against hull but they have started to look a lot better they still create chances um and they look to be a lot more solid um away from home than they have been as well so it's going to be an uncomfortable game for bournemouth and i think i said a couple of weeks ago on on the podcast all bournemouth need to do is just be really difficult to break down and they were that against sheffield united i thought it was a good performance they didn't create too many chances but i thought they were quite resolute quite fortunate at times but they they made it difficult for chef united that's all they've got to do they've just got to pick up points and drag their knuckles across the floor um essentially that sort of football um and again yeah this they're not they're not the best second place team i've ever seen um but they're certainly not the worst and they've got a lot of quality a lot of good individuals i think that they're just essentially going to pull themselves through it give me a point to tell but we're at home commentary away i'm i'm gonna go three points i think coventry will pick up a win um because it's coventry does anybody fervently disagree with that ben hd yeah i've sort of got it in my head that in the middlesbrough game on friday i'm probably fancying bournemouth for that one they've seemed to have a little bit more about them at home in terms of scoring goals lately and that sort of thing and although middlesbrough's away record has picked up like justin said i think the fixtures for some of those away matches have fallen a bit kinder on them but that commentary game does look like a bit of an awkward one really with coventry not having all too much to play for it seems like they could up their levels and a little bit now that the pressure sort of off them and that was certainly the case with them away at fulham so are those two i'd i think i mentioned towards four points maybe i think they'll win against borough but maybe it'll be a draw away at calve i'm gonna give you a completely binary choice then ryan you can make the final call it's three or four points i wouldn't be at all surprised if they'd failed to win both games quite frankly um middle schoolers well yeah middlesbrough are a funny one because obviously justin was alluding to their waveform was shocking for a period of two months and then suddenly it's turned around but as ben was just saying they were playing against birmingham and peter who are probably two of the teams that you'd like to face away from home really so how much of a corner they've turned i'm not too sure but i think chris wilder is at the point now where if middlesbrough are getting the top six this season then they've got to get something from this game and i think they'll be firmly in his mind with that so i think they'll try to just keep as solid at the back as possible and then coventry pressures off now playoffs are probably looking like their chances are over now and they've been brilliant at the cbs arena all season so i think um bournemouth will be lucky to get two points from those round of games to be quite honest i i'm gonna bigfoot this because i think they're gonna win one of those games um so where are we i'm saying three you're saying one or two ryan what do you say in three i said three yeah ben did you say three or four four i said four four let's let's go with three that feels like it's right yeah doesn't it yeah we've we've been pulling this up and uh ryan pulling this down a bit okay that would land them on 76 from 41. let me just repeat that 76 from 41 so still five games to play in mid 70s uh for those people for seeing the collapse um right huddersfield i've got to go to you then ryan um really important win last night wasn't it they i i just need to say as i have to say every broadcast i do that i predicted huddersfield to be 23rd so i've said it now before anyone can say it in the in the comments um they've got qpr at home middlesbrough away yeah it's a bit of a contrast that isn't it because i think if there's one team you want to play right now it's qpr who just seemed completely hapless um so i think short and sweet i'd go three points from the weekends games because i think middlesbrough weighs a tricky game because the riverside stadium has been a bit of a fortress for middlesbrough since wilder took over so i think they take three points from this game i think they'd expect at least three points from this um and i was a bit concerned about huddersfield and i needed to see something in the looting game on monday night and i saw enough from that say okay the kind of shudder that they had just before the international break was just out of shoulder and it looks like the playoffs should be um nearly secure after this coming weekend and hopefully they'll get three points against qpr and then if they get anything else from the middlesbrough game then that's just a bonus bet hd three yeah i'll watch keep you out the weekend come to deep deal and to be honest they played it about all right in the first half they played some you know decent football created some chances but as soon as that first goal went against them they just completely fell apart and in that second half i'm not even joking when president could have had three or four goals and keep your absolutely all over the place so yeah huddersfield get an early goal in that game i think that probably seals it middlesbrough away pretty tricky and yeah i'm going to go three points out of those two i think middlesbrough and could cause a bit of a stare in their home fixture but i do see them getting past qpr um justin i'm gonna disrespect you greatly because they both said three i'm going with three you can't change my mind here there's already an overruling um overall in majority oh well i i think i'll just feel it we'll just forget about the third channel now yeah who's gonna got the third best away record um in the league and obviously they're coming up against qpr which at the minute anyone can play qpr i think my sunday team could play qpr maybe a result i disrespect it um so i'm gonna go with four points um and just one goal conceded in these games i think it's a clean sheet against qpr and a one-on-one draw against borah you've made your feelings clear i'm still going to go with three but if you're right we'll all give you a standing ovation um next time around so that would put huddersfield they'd only have three games to go um that would put them at 72 with three to go right let's talk about high flying in form whatever word you want to put in nottingham forest um now they are on a winning streak ben and winning streaks do have to come to an end at some point but um luton did get beaten last night and um speaking to some looting fans um on my channel they're a little bit concerned now that they're gonna just right at the wrong time someone's going someone's going past them so forrest is looting away at the weekend west brom and steve bruce at home on the second round um i think it was it's five wins on the bounce so if you are going to call a six-pointer that would be a seven game winning streak um in the home straight no yeah not that that's impossible it's two quite tricky fixtures to call here with forrest i think because i mean they are on this absolute amazing run i wouldn't put it past them whatsoever to pick up six points from these two matches but luton have tended to have decent sort of bounce back ability throughout the season i think the most amount of consecutive matches that they've lost throughout the season has been two and although in midweek against peterborough i didn't think they were particularly great in that game and obviously and missed that penalty in the decisive moment the other night as well west brom another really a bit of an all over the place side on the bruce really they've seemed to have served up some of their best performances against some of the sort of high-flying teams in the league like that game against fulham and bournemouth so uh yeah i'm really not sure but i think i it'd have to be four or six points i'm saying for this one maybe luke can get a point out of that one but yeah between four and six for me i think i'm totally clipping you you you blatantly went west brom yeah the face okay uh jp what do you think i think this is a really tricky run of games for forest um over this weekend especially because they're coming up against two teams who work really really hard as well um and they are probably the two teams you don't want to face in the space of four days um luton i think yeah ben's right really good balance back ability and i think nathan jones will set them up not to lose at the very minimum which i guess is what every manager does but in this case mega not to lose um you know 10 men behind the ball sort of stuff um and i think that that that'll be a good point for them and then going against west brom one week they're eight out of ten next week the three out of ten so if you're looking at a sequence of games there might be two this eight out of ten against forrest potentially or it might be a three out of ten science yeah exactly exactly i'm a mathematician um so again it's just really it depends what team what team turns up for west brom so i think it will be a difficult weekend for forest and i think they will lose one of these games so i'm going to go three points interesting right i think four points would be a good weekend for forrest i wouldn't put it past him getting six wouldn't put it past him getting three um west brom are a funny one because i was just out of their six last six games they've won two and those two have been against fulham and bournemouth that just makes no sense whatsoever so whether they just play better against the better sides i i don't really know um but justin's right they are either an 8 out of 10 or a 3 out of 10 you just don't know which west bomb team are going to turn up at the moment luton if you asked me just before the international break this was probably going to be forests one of apart from the bournemouth game just before the last game of the season this was probably going to be forest's most tricky game but now as you're alluding to benjamin lewton have just kind of started dipping at completely the wrong time um and they weren't great against peterborough they weren't great against huddersfield and forrester probably the one one team you don't want to face right now so i will probably go all out and say six points um but it wouldn't surprise me if it is just three or four let's land on four shall we that feels like half the way um in between yeah it's really interesting ryan i just wanted to pick up um that i agree with you that forest bournemouth game almost seems like it's winding up as a kind of standalone thing do you know what i mean where there's all the form going into it and yeah it's kind of like a sort of play-off in itself if forrester close in you know within say five points at that point you know it's this kind of must-win head-to-head so i'm i kind of with you i see that as just a separate thing um which is between round 45 and round 46 am i right about that which is just yeah ludicrously good timing isn't it i love it it depends what obviously the points tallies are for each side at that point doesn't it i mean that's just stating the obvious but um it will be a six pointer won't it and it could get to the stage where if they're both on the same number of points at that point then i don't know what the goal difference is off top of my head but that will probably swing it won't it could be 527 um so we got forest then uh 71 we've got them ending within that five point radius we've got them ending the easter weekend and i suppose if you're a forest fan that's you just want to go into the last game with a with a shot at it knowing that if you win you've got a chance of of overtaking them if this um incredible surge is going to continue um we've already talked a fair bit about luton um let's let's stay with you then right um so there's the forest game and then they visit cardiff yeah probably it actually ended up being quite a tricky round of games for luton obviously if i was just going to be a tricky game anyway but cardiff or aside were just ticking over quite nicely right now they're not you know picking up an abundance of points but they're assigned to have proven to be a lot better than they were earlier in the season mainly because of the january signings they've made so i i think luton fans have got every right to be concerned right now because if you are considering their only how many points is it three points behind three points ahead of middlesbrough who are seemingly the one team at the moment who are trying to catch up with them and middlesbrough got a game in hand as well then you could easily see luton coming out of this with nothing but at the same time i'd say two points for luton wouldn't be a bad weekend but if i had to make a prediction i'd probably say one point well let me frame this in a different way to you um justin are they gonna win either of these games um forrest at home cardiff away i think the cardiff game certainly the winnable one um i think uh the cardiff team requires um their team that can that can be on it and play really well the ball they are also tuna can be uh influenced by the crowd if you're to believe steve morrison um so again that they're a hard one to put the finger on but again i think nathan jones is he's quite a savvy uh sorry manager and he's tactically he's very switched on and as i said uh earlier with the forest game i think he will set them up not to lose known for while they're going to the cardiff game knowing that three points is much more likely than it is in the forest game um so i can see them getting four points quite easy and again losing to looking at a team who i i don't feel that form affects them too much obviously they've been playing relatively poorly over the last couple of weeks compared to usual their usual standards but they're a team that can still create chances um and they still have that that hard work ethic that not a lot of teams can match so for that reason i think they'll grind it out they'll get four points um this coming weekend and i don't think there's too much to worry about for luton ben you can have the final call on this we're we're kind of edging towards either a two or a three so yeah what are you thinking it's tricky i do think that that forest game sort of sets the tone for luton over this weekend really because if they come out of that game having lost i think the pressure is almost magnified on that cardiff game really and cardiff can be a bit of a tough place to go so i know they have that disaster against swansea but typically their home matches have been pretty tight where they've been settled by one goal either way so i think i'm just about edging to three maybe for luton and i don't think that would be an awful weekend for them uh with these two fixtures i'm putting it down as three and as usual kudos to anyone who gets it who gets it right um i quite like these fixtures ben uh sheffield unit
