This was another defensive disaster from Czechia, and it cannot be excused by Mexico's attacking intent — They were all over the place, ball-watching when runners went forward, not tracking runs, not winning challenges, and not aggressive enough in their own box, allowing Quinones to reach the ball.
If Doera's volley had gone in it would have been a Puskas contender and would have pulled Czechia back into the match — He struck it on the volley from the left side, but the effort flashed just wide.
Mexico are going through to the knockout rounds in style, they have picked apart this sorry Czechia, and they want to go deep in this competition — Fidalgo came off the bench to score and make it 3-0, with Mexico repeatedly cutting Czechia open.
Fidalgo's finish was devastating and it was the icing on the cake for a deserved Mexico win; 3-0 may be slightly embarrassing for Czechia, but it came from poor defending — Czechia had been sliced open and Fidalgo calmly whipped the ball into the top corner; Mexico deserved to win, while Czechia simply did not defend well and were punished.

Anything other than a win will end their first World Cup adventure in 20 years.
