the eighth women's World Cup final. >> Well, the United States were without Megan Rapino for that semi-final win over England. Her return is the headline news. It's the same goalkeeper and the same back four as that semi-final victory here in midfield. Number three Samantha Muis comes in for Lindseay Heran and Rose Lavell has perhaps crucially been past fit after a hamstring scare. Up front it is Rapino for press playing alongside Morgan and Heath. 433 Rapino with the armband and so much strength in depth amongst the substitutes. Stephanie Fra of France has the honor of refereeing the World Cup final. Well, the Netherlands played an extra half hour in their semi-final victory over Sweden and played that game a day later than the United States, but they are so strong. Fanfandal is the captain and keeper. Anuk Deca comes into defense. She scored in that group win over Canada. Jackie Kernan in midfield won the semiinal against the Swedes with that super goal in extra time. Lynette Baronstein keeps her place in the front three. Fansandon is amongst the substitutes and Leica Merren is fit. And the United States Allin White get the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup final underway. Kicking from left to right against the Dutch, of course, all in orange. Netherlands very very aware that the United States come out of the blocks quickly and they come out of the blocks strongly. We have a a second ball on the pitch at the moment and there's the evidence of that. Six goals scored during the first 15 minutes at these finals. Every single match they've played they've scored early. >> This is Crystal D with the throw in. The United States left back goes from Saun to Dal Kemper. Good strong early header out of play for the Dutch. Interesting that they have moved Bworth to left back and Merill Fanongan who played left back against Sweden and in other games in this tournament is amongst the substitutes. Anuk Deka in the Dutch defense. Bloodworth is about to take a throw in, but it's actually the United States throw. Touched out of play by Stephanie Vanderl. Ohara's throw was cut out and cut out well. clearances straight to Rose Lavell however for the United States Julie Z. Crystal done. That's a good ball. Well cleared for the moment. Rapino though being put under pressure by Daniel Vanderonk. Done. Little deflection just took it away from Rapino. Netherlands throw. First United States for has been repelled. >> Dere is going to take this throw in for the Dutch. He had a brilliant game against Sweden here in the semiinal. Baron Stone chasing that just unable to reach it. >> Well, play is going on despite the fact that United States have a player down. Samantha Muis, that was an important foot in found to don forward into Vivana Midmar. That's a decent ball. Leica Martins here. Martins has done well and then sprayed that pass well behind Lynette Barrenstein. Morgan is back on her feet rather winded I think by that shoulder from Anuk Deha. That might, you know, be why Decka's in the team to just make sure that she never gives Morgan any room at all. That looks to me like it's going to be a tight marking job. Deca on Morgan. Meanwhile, at the other end of the field, the Netherlands have a throw. Flag is up. It was one anyway by Muis, but it's a free kick to the United States as faran just straight offside. Heath at the moment in a lot of space on the right hand side with the Dutch looking rather more concerned about the threat of Rapino and Morgan. That is Rapino and this is Morgan. And that's Lavell trying to get forward. Hooked out by Vander. Now a little bit of room. Vivana Midmar. It's done well. Vika Martins. Vanderdon is on side here over Midmar. Arinstein couldn't quite get on to it. It was a good defensive header actually by Dal Kempa. Here's Heath back into Becky Sa Brun. Crystal done. >> Four years ago in the uh 2015 Women's World Cup final, the USA were already 2-0 up against Japan at this stage of the game. 5 1/2 minutes played. It's been a good promising start to this match in Leon. Alissa whose penalty save against England was so crucial to the United States reaching this final. Heath is chasing this and of course she's quick and she's reached it too. Hooked it into a dangerous area. Deserluta has made a mistake there. Rapino out by Dea. Just a little bit of hesitancy and fear in that Dutch defense for the first time. Good ball by Tikica Martins here. Foot in on Martins from Lavel and it is going to be a throw into the United States which is what Lavel was claiming but they almost profited here. It's uh Desire Van Lutteran's mistake which allowed Rapino to nick the ball. >> The Dutch have won each of their last nine games in all competitions. Donk trying to get it through. Crystal done into the path of Benstein. Didn't quite manage it, but the Dutch do have a throw. The title of European champion, sits comfortably with them. They stand tall and confident in the face of Jill Ellis, who is hoping to become the first coach ever to win the FIFA Women's World Cup twice. That's a marker from Fandon saying don't think you will have time in possession in midfield Samantha Muis because you won't. Here is Rapino. That's a good looking ball. Heath off after this. Not quite. You can pretty much say that if Tobin Heath can't reach it, then it can't be reached. But it was a good attempt by Rapino to find her. The United States can match and raise that Dutch winning streak. Nine for the Netherlands, 12 for the USA since they drew with England 2-2 in the She Believes Cup in Nashville in March. Kelly O'Hara Lavell has had such a good tournament. It was uh one mighty challenge on it by Spitzer. They have a physical stature as well. The Netherlands. Thought Spain played against the United States ever so well. They match their aggression and physicality in a way which took the USA by surprise. It's United States throw in, but it was a an error by O'Hara. >> Vanderl given the marking job on Morgan. Then it's a throw into the USA. O'Hara Heath. Free kick is given. Lavell was fouled by Spitzer and it's not Spitzer's first strong challenge of the game and it's a very early yellow card in the final here for Sharida Spitzer. Fewer than 10 minutes played. >> Spitter is in the notebook already. >> Well, she slid in with some intent. Her foot didn't really make contact. It was more the follow through. But it is a free kick and it was a yellow card in the opinion of the French referee Stephanie Fra. Tobin Heath is going to take this. >> Heath delivery was behind Z headed firmly away. >> Bworth behind >> Krennan back to Bworth who cleverly wins the throw in and was then just caught by Z after the ball had gone and uh referee is going to have a word with Z as well. Free kick but no card on that occasion. >> Dominic Lworth and now Kelly O'Hara with the throw. First mission for the Dutch is almost accomplished to keep the USA out for more than 12 minutes. They might do better than that here. Oh well, it was well it must have been really good communication because Saun pulled out of that at the last minute. Alysa Na obviously told her to leave this. It was a good call. >> Here's done. Rapino Midmar dispossessed by Zunan did really well. VanDong well played Gernen. Daniela Vanong just keeping the ball in play. Sa Brun dealt with Bernenstein well enough. O'Hara. Crystal done. Dutch band strikes up. Tobin Heath. Well covered and the cloud for the Dutch making sure that Muis wasn't getting get on to that. >> Well, as I say, first mission accomplished. They've now passed the point at which the United States have taken the lead in every other game they had played at this tournament. And the Dutch have a free kick. Serena Vigman, the coach, will be delighted with that. We just saw her in the white shirt. Played in the USA some 30 years ago. Julie Z. Saun to Dunn. Becky Saun Abidal Kempa. Good shout from Sarifi Fanfenal for those in front to leave it. They're very happy so far. Morgan with the flick on that will go through to Fanfandal played uh all six games at Euro 2017 on home soil where she was named the best goalkeeper in the tournament. Sari Fanadal Berninstein won that header. Here's Vantodonk Spitzer. No one has more assists in this World Cup than Sharida Spitzer. Well cut out by O'Hara. He's done. That's worth chasing. And Raphino does exactly that with Morgan in the middle. Well covered by Tan Lunulan. Good defending there. [cheering] United States have the corner kick. First of the game. It's Rapino to take. Six white shirts inside that Dutch penalty area. It's pulled back to Tobin Heath. It wasn't marked. Heath little cushioned header. Daniela Vanton made the challenge. This is Lavel. Well taken. Well taken Fantra Nadal. That was dangerous. Whipped in by Lavell and well claimed by the goalkeeper taking charge of that goal mouth. Well, well, Dr. Spitzer, Martins, Vanderact, Deca. USA have it back and Muis tries to release Rapino. Tobin Heath is in the middle and Nuke Deka has done brilliantly. Dutch fans love that. Rapino didn't font anuk dea muis tustling and fouling that's a Dutch free kick and dea here. >> Rapino felt she was fouled. The official said not bloodworth almost gave that away to Jackie Gron Donk. Deca safely done. Fanfandal forward to Vanderonk and Lunan is available and that's come off Lavel for the Dutch throw. Gran Midmar bit short that cut out by O'Hara. Oh, well won back. Leica Martin's got a foot in. Here's Alex Morgan. Been very tightly marked so far. Morgan, you can't give her any space at all though. And Deka managed to readjust her body to get that clearing header. And then Tobin Heath couldn't control. maybe should have done. Midmar is uh playing a very good role quite deep actually and using her physical presence in the buildup play for [music] the Dutch rather than being always the point of the attack. We're just seeing there uh Leonard Bernenstein who has been playing almost in front of Midmar. Barrenstein now has it in that position. No foul given but picked up here into Midmar. Crystal Dunn got the challenge in. Juliet away. That was dangerous or building to be so. This has been a fascinating opening to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup final. Very competitive as you would expect. Very little really to choose between the sides. The Dutch will be delighted with the work they've done so far. Gren forward to Vantoonk. Now, Fan Lunteran. That's the mistake the USA want though. They might profit here trying to find Tobin Heath. The pass wasn't quite good enough. Well, a better pass from Alex Morgan and Heath would have been away. Dutch were lucky. Muis wins the ball back. Z Lavell Muis Van Donk settles for the throw in. It's Mida. Ohara Spitzer with the interception for the Dutch but couldn't find an orange jersey. Dal Kemper to Saun to Dunn. Meet and drink now for Bworth. >> Z with a little bit of time. >> Move it again. >> Rapino. Groan made the challenge. It's going to be a throw into the United States. Two players there in Lavel and Groan who've really had super tournaments. Morgan Fant with the volided clearance. Here's Dun. Muis has made a run. Muis is the target. Fanfendal saw it and made sure it didn't reach it. Spitzer. >> Bworth cut out for the United States by Abidal Kempa. Kelly O'Hara. Dal Kemper done through to Fanfandal. She has been so quiet so far, Alex Morgan. And that's because Fandra and Deca are making it their priority to share the load and make sure she has zero space. Badworth. Nice clearance flicked on by Muis. It's going to be a throw into the Netherlands. Their first ever women's World Cup final. United States edging possession, but I think that the Dutch will feel that uh their game plan is working at the moment. Van Drafadal hand raised in apologies. She slightly mis hit that. >> Tobin Heath with this throw in for the United States. In fact, she's going to leave it for uh O'Hara who plays it into Heath. Ohara to try again with this throw in. hasn't scored an international goal. Kelly O'Hara on the ball now since the semiinal in 2015 in Canada when she scored in that victory over Germany given away by Lavell. Here's Midmar. Midmar through to Baronstein. She might reach this really well. needed to Crystal Dunn Sa Dal Kemper O'Hara. The Netherlands playing a counter punching game at the moment, but they do pack a punch. Ohara, >> Dal Kemper. Karen just beaten by Lavell done. Muis is available. There she is. >> Deca made half a challenge. Muis rode it. Van Lunan under pressure. It's gone behind. It's a corner. Rapino is going to take this for the United States. Newest one of those inside the penalty area. Z is just behind her. Ohara and Morgan around the penalty spot. Tobin Heath almost on the line. It's a little flick from Z WHO COMES BACK TO Z AND F AND DAL WITH A SAVE. Great reactions to deny Z. First time either goalkeeper's really been called into action. And what a very good save it was. >> Super volley by Z. >> [cheering] >> Bernenstein. That'll be a throw into the Netherlands. Might also be a little injury problem here for Becky Saun. Think she'll be okay. This is the save. It's a great hit from Z. >> Good reactions from Sar Fanadal. >> She's still feeling it. And the uh USA have substitutes warming up here as they both sides just take the opportunity to get some fluids on board. [cheering] Good goalkeeping there from Alysa. What a super ball by Midmar though illustrating this uh little change in formation from the Dutch with Serena Figman. She's done really well. It's a 411 really with Baronstein leading the line. medart in behind as opposed to their usual 4-33 and uh Saun would look to be okay to continue I think. [cheering] [cheering] played 90 minutes of five games Becky Saun at these finals. She didn't play at all against Thailand. Spitzer over hit from Jere Fanan. >> Here's Heath. >> Heath got the better of Bworth. Heath's cross behind Morgan. Fan away. [cheering] Menstein doing well. Saun being forced to just lash it away again. Good defending by the Dutch. Heath completely left. Dominique Bloodworth there. We win. Good scrap going on. The ball has gone out of play for a Netherlands throw in. >> She's led the line well at Bernstein. She hadn't started a game in this tournament until the semi-final against Sweden. She'd come on in all the previous games, but uh there's the story so far. 30 minutes and almost 31 minutes played. Still United States nil, the Netherlands nil in the 2019 Women's World Cup final in Leyon. The full house at the Star Deon Kelly O'Hara. Peace. Ohara. Oh, nicely done. Ohara's cross is dangerous. Rapino at the back post has won a corner. Jess Ran was under pressure there. The strength of the United States on the flanks causing the Dutch some difficulties. >> Corner kick to the United States. Stephanie Fra the referee just wants a word with I think it's Midmar. No, Vander. Corner nil nil in Leon. Rapino to the near post. Unstein away. Dah ke. and Muis to Lavell into the feet of Heath. Right back Kelly O'Hara is uh almost the furthest United States player up the pitch at the moment with Lavel just filling in at right back. Dal Kemper and Saabbrun waiting their moment. Here's Crystal Dunn. Dan's forward ball giving Muis something to chase. Desan Lunan has the head start and the United States have a throw in. Oh, it was dangerous from Morgan. >> Grenanon. Morgan's header. And that's into the feet of Saranadal. So far so good for the Dutch. They might not have touched the ball in the United States penalty area yet, but she'll be delighted with the the way the game plan is working. Midmar using a body to keep it from lavworth. Deca fand almost two or three occasions there on which looked like the Dutch might with a slightly off pass give the ball away to the United States in the end as that flew from the challenge towards Rapino. She was coming back from an offside position. >> Out of play by O'Hara >> Bloodworth with his throwing. Dal Kemper to Saun under pressure from Midmar. Dalke Kemper. Ooh, fortunate to get away with that. Very fortunate. Here's Laval. Good challenge on a one back superbly by Fandon. She recovered though. Ohara forward. Fandraact. Muis, this is really an absorbing game. Crystal Dunn looking for Alex Morgan. Terrific recovery by Fandra. Now Alex Morgan going to ground. Referee's first indication is a corner. It was Dominique Bworth with the challenge on Morgan. You can hear what the crowd think about it. It's a corner. I think the uh Alex Morgan is clearly protesting. The noise was partly from American fans saying penalty and partly from Dutch fans saying dive. Referee decides it was neither. >> Eight minutes of the first half to go. Nil nil. In goes Heath's corner. Out goes Heath's corner. A firm header from Deca. Rapino. THAT'S A GOOD BALL. OFF. KNEW IT'S GOT A HEAD ON IT. GOING TO COME BACK IN from Heath. Headed firmly away by Vander Saun. Rapino taking on Fanran. MORGAN JUST ABOUT KEPT OUT BY Fanfandal possibly with a little bit of help from the foot of the post. What a great ball in by Rapino. Lovely ball by Alex Morgan. Lovely run by Alex Morgan to get in front of the defender. Got there ahead of Fanta and Fanal kept it out. First time in the game that the Dutch have really been hanging on and it's from two balls in from the left hand side. Both of which cause them real problems. Muis almost put the first away and Morgan the second. Still the bulk of possession and passes and all the shots the United States but no lead. Rapino Fanfandal got a foot in. Vanton is there. I think that's going to be a free kick to the United States for uh the foul by Van Donk. Abid Dal Kempi here. Kelly O'Hara. Ohara's driven cross. Heath got ahead on it. Fant. Halime is approaching and the Netherlands are hanging on. First time in the game that it has been well and truly in the grip of the United States. Throw in to be taken by O'Hara. Can they make this spell count? The reigning world champions Morgan Laval could good turn Julie Z. Good ball TOO MORGAN. MORGAN'S DRIVE. BRILLIANT SAVE. Great save. Sarif fanfendal. She's keeping them on level terms at the moment. First time Alex Morgan has really found space. Lashed the shot. It's a terrific drive. It's an even better save. Another US corner. Sari Fan Finandal. He's playing a blinder so far. In goes this corner kick. Dutch desperate for some time on the ball. Danielle Donk has done more than that. She's gotten him on the front foot. SHE'S GOT JACKIE GRANON AHEAD OF HER. CAN SHE PLAY THE BALL INTO GRANON? Not quite. Not quite. Shaun was there. Perhaps didn't release it quite early enough. Fan Lunter Lavell lovely turn. Such a composed midfielder. Rapino. Morgan in the middle. Deflected. Cleared away by Bworth. Collected by Z. Clever ball into Lavel. Good feet by Laval. It's a free kick. Is it? Oh, she said play on. Well, looked like a free kick. Everyone expected a free kick. United States didn't get one. Baronstein here now. That is a free kick. Yellow card as well. Abid Dal Kemper is in the book. United States supporters are going mad here. They felt there should have been a free kick at the other end. The Dutch break. Barrenstein is tripped by Dal Kemper. Free kick, yellow card. And more importantly, possibly the first chance that Sharida Spitzer has had to try and conjure something from a set piece. And that is her specialtity. This is the Dutch game plan. keep the United States out and try to make the most of their set pieces on the break. Jackie Gran is over it and Spitzer is over it and you'll bet your life that Minamar will be trying to get on the end of it. Three minutes to Halime. Four assists in this World Cup. Sharita Spitzer. All of them from set pieces. Spitzer. Oh, did it take a little deflection on its way? It is. It's a corner. Looked to take a little flick. I think it was just off the head of Kelly O'Hara here. So, another chance for Spitzer because she'll take the corner. Vander, Mika Martins, Anuk Deka, Vi
